Hey George - Great video and I'm glad I stumbled onto your Channel. I'm a Designer Manager at Thule and designer of this pack and all of the other Thule Paramount bags in the line. I'm glad you're happy with it and thanks for explaining all of the details we put into this bag. As for the zippers I hear you. We typically use #10 or #8 YKK zippers for main compartments and #5 YKK zippers on the smaller pockets and interior pockets. I think in future iterations it would be great to add some sort of handle at the top of the main compartment to allow for a faster opening. Great suggestion. Thanks so much for the review and I look forward to new videos! You've got a new fan.
I feel like people are sleeping on this bag. I seriously don't know why I don't see more of these bags around the city. Best backpack I've ever had by far.
From Japan ! Sorry, my English is so poor, I'm always watching your video and love it ! Your recommendation backpack is very nice and very easy to understand. Please take care of yourself and give us a amazing video !
thoroughly enjoyed how detailed you were on this review. After searching for a good 6 months for a bag ( i am super picky) i believe i have found the right bag for me. Thanks George! Keep doing you! Love from Singapore
One of the best reviews for Paramount series! Thank you for showing it from different angles, as well as evaluate it for different scenarios, it is really important to hear these things when choosing accessory for personal use. Great job!
No one beats George on backpack reviews! I like Thule. Always something a little different from Thule with styling. Never considered that they might be on par with more expensive bags. They did a great job on the back panel!
Nice features. With a sternum strap and a full clamshell opening, I was almost sold. Thanks again for a great video! Really like the features you are always emphasizing.
Looking for new everyday pack and before this guy watching reviews was boring and felt more like work. Ive started watching more and more of his videos making it extremely hard to decide on a backpack haha
Thanks George, for the informative video about a pack that wouldn't have been on my radar otherwise. My family often teases me about being addicted to backpacks and well . . . you're not helping, lol!
ordered Thule Crossover and this one; considering Rainmaker BUT with no returns I keep avoiding, I know the quality of the Rainmaker is there and even the capacity but if not any more comfortable than the Thule then we need to stick to those. Since you've carried both, mind weighing in? Comfort at this point is #1 since quality and capacity's boxes are checked seems like.
Thank you, George. I just got my Thule Paramount today. It is my new favorite for office carry. Amazon price dropped to $129 too. I appreciate it. My Osprey's (Tropos & Nebula) still serve me for a more casual environment or outdoor adventure. 511's are all loaded and ready for emergency too. I think I am good with my collection now. However. I am sure you will have me buying more. :)
HAHAHAHA!!! George you're a fool w/ that snap! Not sure if it's because I've been in doors for too long but that had me rolling on the ground! I LOVE IT! Your vids never disappoint brotha! Keep up the great work and reviews and I'll spread the news about your channel!
Mr. George Great job. Great video. Would you please review new version of Thule Paramount Backpack, it is called Paramount Commuter series. Thank you sir.
Great video! Really close look for details. It's makes me want this backpack :) As I found, this two little things on a center of upper zipper on a main section is for quick access, just put the finger in the hole and pull down for open. I saw in videos it's works.
You mean that you don't have a bunch of different sets of gear for each bag? We've been Hoodwinked. Bamboozled. Led astray. We didn't land on George: Defined backpack reviews. George: Defined backpack reviews landed on us. Lol. That is a great effort for a company whose niche is outdoor gear. Thanks for sharing. One.
Goerge you've done it again. Another great review and I gotta get this back pack. I love what Thule has done with their backpacks. Clam shell opening would of been great but this one works for me. Thanks again for a great review. 👍
Nice review man! A little long so I skipped around a little bit but you covered everything I wanted to see. I'm not feeling the top handle fo the angle it sits at I wish it were facing the top vs facing your back and also not a fan of the inner shoulder strap material, that usually frays after some time I would've preferred nylon or rubber. That being said, I'm buying it anyways! Thanks.
Well, that was an easy one. Ordered it right away for ... intense pause... 80€. Lucky me (well, at least if I will get the bloody thing for real). Great review. Consider me impressed.
I'm so glad to see this review. I was considering this bag a couple years ago when realizing I would need to haul much of my office with me everyday to & from work. I think part of me is still considering it. I went with a different bag because I saw several reviewers on multiple sites reporting that the stitches that attached the bottom to the bag were coming loose. Did you ever hear anything about this issue? Any idea if Thule has retooled the design in the last couple years (to fix this problem)? Thanks for another great video -- I find myself often watching one of your bag reviews over breakfast -- much needed respite from the news over the last few years, & especially recent months. Take care man.
I don't have long term use with the pack but I have had one other person say they had problems with Thule. Most folks are positive about the brand.. Thanks for the question. Be Safe ✌🏾
Per the norm, excellent work George. Here we go, some WOW factor packed into an extremely reasonable price point. The Admin section on the side of the bag is a cool idea, totally digging this design. A design we don't see very often. I dig the gold/black contrast too. This is a nice looking bag for sure. Here is the question... is the brand name pronounced with a "Th" sound? Or is it pronounced with a "To" sound? I have heard it pronounced both ways many different times.
Been looking at this bag as a uni backpack. Do you reckon it wouldn't look weird on a female? And do you think I could fit books and binders in that main compartment along with a laptop? Great informative video btw!
George, thank you for a consistent thorough review, as always. The first thing I would do to this bag is sharpie over the HUGE branding. It screams at me. There is nothing discrete about it at all. It has a lot of thoughtful storage and the use of magnets is smart and more bags should use it. BUT, I can't draw myself to purchasing it. The design falls between generic and feminine to me. Both of which I have nothing against of course but for my asthetics wants, i'll pass.
hey George! Great video, I'm really happy I found your channel couple of days ago. The pack looks great too! What do you think of the Thule Subterra 25? Looks pretty similar to the Paramount but more affordable for me. However, I'm having doubts because it's not water resistant.. Greetings from Germany, have a nice day :)
Hello, would you recommend this backpack for day to day? I am a teacher from Uruguay, it is a high cost backpack. Would you recommend it to me? Is it really good? Thank you. I love your videos .. I am Diego.
I am from Europe and this is the only big enough bag manufacturer that would have these inovative kickstartery feautures that i'd be able to buy here easily but damn, it is a bit too big for me, i would use the 24 l version more but it's so freaking ugly, like why why
