Someone was losing a match against me and somehow made me disconnect from the game instead of himself. So, it's probably more complicated than you think, but they definitely should solve the issue.@@hands-ongaming7180

@@kukai31Yea, almost every single day the game disconnects me saying "The servers are now in maintenance. Going back to title screen" and I have to log in again... I don't want to be penalized for this, since it's not my fault and I don't plug.

They've been slowly creeping over to full priced titles because enough idiots will enable and embolden such p[practises by thoughtlessly throwing money at them. If people were more vigilant in regards to such scummy practises then micro transactions and battle passes in full priced games wouldn't be a thing.

No game is perfect from the beginning or during the course of it's run, but that's ridiculous.
Man I love that the pass has insiginificant items that no one used in tekken 7 and are now recycled into paid content. Get creative bamco, plenty of amazing legacy things to remaster to at least give us something worth the money.
I really thought harada was more truthful and less of a slimeball like the rest of the " modern age gaming" devs, but I was wrong he is no different. Happily im 40 years old and i dont give a fuck about the future of gaming, the last 5 years has gotten peogressively worse and i got a giant backlog. Will still play t8, but im not touching this paid battle pass. Its nice to get the free stuff and play a little bit everydsy

If they were gonna do these things they should have went all out with customization from the get go like give us more then we need and then to these kind of add ons i don't think the majority of the fan base would have cares as much.

Classic scrub mistake of assuming there's one unified team and priorities are aligned. The battle dev team is working on balancing and the marketing team is working on MTX. Someone adding in a shop doesn't mean resource is taken away from fixing balancing. Have you ever worked in a product creation environment? Making burgers doesn't count.
Unfortunately some things can be easier to apply than others. Be patient and stop crying. The alternative is to wait 5 years to get costumes like T7. Don't buy the battle pass. SIMPLE.

No automatic stage or character shuffling in Super Ghost Battle is irritating. Also having to wait for an outro freeze frame before continuing sucks. Tekken 7's pacing in Treasure Battle was more satisfying imo and was actually an endless mode.
@@Beforezzz I honestly miss having an endless mode like Treasure Battle so much. Super Ghost Battle does not even come close to replacing it. But im sure its because they'd rather take all the cosmetics out and sell them back to use piecemeal through battle passes instead of letting us unlock them through gameplay 😒

The base game (standard edition) is like $60-$70
You need deluxe or higher to get character season dlc which is $70-$100+
Tekken coins range from$ 4.99 to nearly $50 just to get legacy skins and special avatars that can easily be bought with fight money instead.
Now they're making a season pass where a lot of cool cosmetics we were able to buy WITH FIGHT MONEY IN PREVIOUS TEKKENS are now locked behind a paywall.
This game sold over 2mil copies in under 2 weeks and is still selling like crazy I can bet.
There is no reason for this shit why couldn't Tekken 8 be a normal, fun good old fighting game without micro transactions. Why couldn't it be like Tekken 7 bruh. Bandai Namco taking too many L's those items in the fight pass could've easily been bought with fight coins like shit t8's customization is decent but it could be better like seriously they finally give us more customization but it's locked behind a paywall BANDAI WHAT. Sry for the long ass rant I'm just sick and tired of companies trying to make more money out of us. If Tekken 8 was free then fine I'd let this slide but THIS GAME COST $70-$100+(Depending on the edition) there should be no reason why we should be paying more when the content should already be in the game readily available to buy with in game money not actual money.

Everyone should just report that their opponent disconnected and they didn't get a win as a bug. Act as if it goes without saying that that's how it ought to work, assume it's a bug, and just keep submitting bug reports "to let them know."
Otherwise, I'm pretty sure Tekken's devs are the dumbest in the world. If literally everyone else can do it, they just suck.
They don't need to discern between an intentional plug and a disconnect. If you disconnect, you lose. The end. Problem solved.

Facts. This current method is not only annoying, but stupid aswell. I've gotten a warning, because my game keeps crashing (I'm on a 1080ti // 8700k , there seem to be issues with that). I would be much happier with just getting an L when it's crashing instead of risking my account getting banned because of crashes. Aside from that getting a win when someone plugs is 100 times more satisfying than assuming they might get banned in the future.

I paid for the base game because I liked it. I won't buy Eddy Gordo because I don't like him. I only bought the Kazuya costume and nothing else because that's not what I liked. And if I don't like the battle pass, I won't buy it either.

I don't condone plugging, but Tekken 8 almost seems like it was setup to piss people off with how much they added. You don't main Victor or King by any chance do you? Some of the character outros are pure troll material, not to mention the excessive comeback mechanics and half the roster being given the most insane tools in a fighting game. If there's as many new players as I'd assume, then your situation shouldn't come as a surprise. Gamers have generally just gotten more sensitive over the years as well.

Also I think that these are just games to me, of course tekken gets m salty from time to time but I never plugged a single match just for the fact that I see this for what it is, a videogame, and I play them when I want to chill or just having fun.
But from the other hand, as you say, lots of people are starting to feel more sensitive even with this kind of things and for some people competition is important even for this kind of stuff, but not for me honestly.

Probably doesn't need any defense at all. Tekken shop doesn't have anything interesting in it so I don't buy anything. If the battle pass isn't interesting, I don't buy it. I have more issues with characters being locked behind a pay-wall which makes the game per definition pay-to-win than that other crap that doesn't affect my gameplay.

The "new" cyber pack is just a recolored customization item in t7 btw. While I'm against the idea of a battle pass in a $70 game, I really can't do anything about it. They're gonna put it out there whether we like it or not.
They could simply switch from player to ai control incase anyone plugs and award points accordingly. 99% of the times it would favor the connected player no ?

One of the problems they have atm with an automated point deduction system is that the Polaris UE fatal error exists for the game (acknowledged on their website) which can when it really wants to be nasty cause multiple crashes. They don't want to punish people for a crash their own game is causing. They need to sort out that error prior to an automated system.

Asap, FT2 needs to be forced like previous NR games. I don't think they will fix this just cause if I have to guess around 7/10 ppl practice the "1 and done" so obviously most users will tell you it's a choice, grow up and all those bullshit. Under your rule, I'll have to afk and lose since I'm forced to play out another game, and if I won the first match, I'd be forced to lose another 2 games. Removing choices is dumb af. No one is entitled to a rematch and in over 2 decades of playing fighters, I really cannot understand this entitlement from this community. Especially as I got older, life happens more often than most people realize and i highly doubt people want to be penalized for it.

Perma ban for "plugging" doesnt seem like the best solution since anyone can have connection issues once in a while for example and unintentionally disconnect. IDK how is so fkn hard to understand for this doodoo developers that the best solution for that issue is pluggers loses their points while the opponents get their points, making it that way wouldnt be unfair for those with connection issues and wouldnt make sense for actual intentional pluggers to do that since they gonna lose their points anyway... ez
However i do agree on perma bans for cheaters like fariborz etc. I dont see how u can effectively rank boost under the actual fto2 rank format, i might be missing something tho. And for the glitching part i think it is them just being lazy instead of fixing bugs punishing ppl using something that is in the game already (even tho developers didnt intend to put those in the game), so bugs are basically the same as using some OP broken move that they should fix, you cant punish someone with ban for using an OP move, its up to them to fix and balance those IMO
Bro I love that I get to play Tekken 8 everyday. I am grateful. I have friends that can’t even afford the game. I have a laptop that is able to run the game smooth on medium-high settings and most of the players I play against are competitive and sportsmanlike. A few plugs here and there just make me laugh. I’m at the fujin rank currently and honestly I want to reach the highest rank possible but I just enjoy the matches.

I think the bans are insulting to the players... if your plug pulling maliciously this doesn't apply to you... but if the game is frustrating to play so ppl close the game its not the players fault this counts as a *plug pull*. that's not what happened you just closed a game you paid for. Now your banned? Fucking refund the game then... take responsibility for releasing a game that pisses ppl off... it feels like their going "oh you don't like my changes I'll show you" like we're in kindergarten..... Baning poeple on consoles means nothing when they can change their tag, just take the points from the plugger and show they plug. Is not that difficult, am literally running out of space in the block list from the amount of pluggers, I banned in both steam and consoles. am at 98 so far. Profesional cheaters are just gonna plug you insteam of them, by DDos your connection.
Hey I’m a mostly offline player and love customisation in tekken but with the fact that you can’t level up this pass offline make this already hard to want to get, but the fact that you are charging for classic skins for €4 each as well as unique skins that could be free on top of this make this a non buy.
There are plenty of people in fighting games who just don’t want to play online, what is with fighting game developers trying to push people online to just unlock things, it’s like MK1, SF5 and to a lesser degree SF6.
And to those who want sexy skins…. Just download a mod 🤷♂️, I personally don’t care.
They can ban folks with mods. And they can track if your using mods on PC. It's called data reading

I love how they are addressing the things people ask and people are still having nothing but a meltdown. They announced a "pluggers pool", Azucena WR 3,2, Juns Healing, Heat Smash tracking, Drags damage, inconsistent scaling. All addressed in this talk along with mentioning they are still looking at those characters and plan to buff lesser used characters soon.

I think a permanent ban is a little too much. What if one day you just have a very bad connection and it can just disconnect by itself but you still keep trying to play and continue to get unintentional disconnection and you get reported by the player you play with, should you be scared to play or rank because of a permanent ban.

Although battle pass and Tekken shop is scummy, it's still better than T7 where the few cosmetics we got were part of big dlc bundles.
I agree that they should be focusing first on fixing the disconnects and other stuff, but ppl should stop acting like this new monetization represents a new low.
I think adding all these DLC characters is way more "problematic" as you basically have to buy them in order to lab against them. I really hope that they will allow us to lab against DLC characters through the replay function. That would address my main issue with T7.

It's funny (and sad) how much cheese is at the top of usage ranking above Tekken God. It goes to show how much of the nuance of Tekken has been trampled in Tekken 8. Dragunov, Azucena, Victor, Reina, Feng.
All of these characters are cancer in their own way, and zero fun to fight. It's never your turn.
Some people might complain about Jun, DJ, King, etc... but at least these characters don't just press buttons for 20 seconds at a time while you pray you don't make one defensive mistake.

I got a 31 day ban and it was totally deserved - I got addicted to plugging but it would have never happened if they just fixed their DC% or took points or whatever. Honestly I plugged such a high % of the time that I don't even know what you would have had to have done to have been permabanned. Maybe because I just did it in quick match.

You know, the reason why people play games is to have fun? Not everyone is a nerd with thousands upon thousands of hours of free time. They’re using it the best way the see fit
I think that's exactly the opposite, people one and done because they are tryharding for ranked points and only want to win.
If you want to have fun you mostly rematch everyone even when you're getting bodied, because that's when you learn the most and have great and epic fights
I can respect people quitting when the first match is laggy, or the opponent is toxic, or even when it's difficult to the point that it's clearly out of your league and you want to find people more of your level.
Other than that, quitting after the first or the second match and avoiding the first to 2 just feels bad, even if on paper, you do what you want and you don't owe a rematch to anyone, its just common sense in a fighting game but there is no rules to it

I'm currently in raijin and if I don't turn off the rank restriction it takes forever to find a game (like 15min sometimes) , so If I verse like a tenryu or below and I completely body them I don't rematch since it's a waste of time and I only get like 100 points anyway which is next to nothing. I would prefer the infinite rematch coming back though. Also wifi players are the bane of this game just after pluggers (can't speak for cheaters coz I don't think I've versed any) so I generally don't rematch wifi players unless I don't experience any network issues mid match.
However, I very much disagree that you should rematch or be forced to rematch everyone (assuming all things are good, connection, rank etc) because a one and done does not harm anyone, it might be annoying to some but not REAL harm is done as in the case of plugging and cheating. How people choose to spend the ranked time is none of anyone business unless it is actively causing harm to the leaderboard and other players. Personally I hate rematching Jun and ling, more ling tbh since it's extremely unfun to play against.

1. They said at the beginning that there are several types of bans for different types of misbehavior.
2. Regarding disconnects: The problem they are addressing here is, that there are tools (don't wanna name em) that can make it look like your enemy disconnected or even make em disconnect (depending on the netcode structure, if it is sever based or direct connections). Cheat tools are CONSTANTLY evolving... It's not the same stuff as a few years ago.
3. If you have no clue about the state of cheat tools, either educate yourself or stop complaining about stuff that you don't understand.

Not going to lie I rage quit last night before the intros even finished. Soon as I see alisa it triggered me. Even the higher tiers characters to mine doesn’t trigger me as much as alisa flying across the screen at me and still being plus for or not being able to punish it is a joke
