I was all ready to criticize this Ghost for the lack of the upper turret being able to rotate, but it was totally worth it to give the set an interior.
I’m hoping as this ship becomes more popular that we could someday get a UCS version (probably not as big as the Millennium Falcon, more like the UCS Razor Crest), or at least a version on the scale of the regular Millennium Falcon sets with similar interior space
Yeah, I really don't understand the complaints about not having the rebels crew. This was marketed from day 1 that this was going to be based off the Ahsoka show. I don't know if they were just being extremely wishful with their thinking to the point where they tricked themselves into thinking that's what this was going to be, but it really is unfair that some people are dismissing this model solely because they convinced themselves it was going to be something that Lego clearly stated from the jump that it wasn't.
I think it's pretty comparable to the Falcon. In my opinion, having the ghost come around every 10-15 years, but a new falcon every 3 means the Ghost will end up being a little more special to many people. Also, the colors are much nicer to see, and I think it's an altogether more interesting build. I own both, and I think the smaller size is much better for my shelves as well!
Personally i would witch out the blue engines with the transparent orange pieces. Other than that good looking set in general. Just wish the underside was a bit better and the turret could rotate. €160 is doable but definitely feels expensive for its size imo. I would wait for a sale and pick it up closer to €100 down the line.
there’s no differences in this thing that could prevent it from being a rebels-era ghost right? like how the sequels falcon had a rectangle radar dish, etc
The cgi model in ahsoka is the same one they used in rogue one and tros. So no. (Well technically There are slight differences between the animated design and live action design, like the sandwiched grey greabled area in the middle of the ship. But that’s only because they added more detail to the live action model. Canonically it’s supposed to be the same design all throughout)
Only difference is this is Phantom II, so if you want early Rebels you'd need to MOC a Phantom I, but Phantom II is from Rebels. Also I figures are unique to the Mandalorian era.
Thank you Jang for being the only Lego reviewer I've seen so far who doesn't immediately assume the larger lower window is the cockpit! Was so happy to see you put Hera in her proper piloting position! :D
Love the review as always! Great build, I think the size is fine. It would have been nice if they added a few pieces to close up the bottom gaps like you said, but thankfully it seems like its pretty difficult to see the underside of the ship during display. The minifigs could have been a bit better here, 3 full figs + a mini fig and a droid is not great value, especially when two of the full figs are random characters no one really cares about but oh well, the Hera fig is amazing
This set really looks good. I will probably be waiting for Amazon to have a sale or for Lego to have x2 points. The Jacen hair thing, they probably just gave Lego an image of the kid in costume without his hair/wig green.
Love this thing. The techniques to get the overall shape are cool. I do wish the cockpit was different, it’s real weird to only have Hera fit up there. This is the one SW design I would buy a UCS of. It really needs it.
I really appreciate the interconnected interior, it does feel like a big boost in believability. Including/even the bottom lamps, the fact that you can throw figs into the ship via those... it just makes it feel like an actual functioning vehicle of the minifigs' world. The build's very attractive overall. I wasn't a fan of the Ghost in particular, but having seen it on screen, I feel rather tempted... there are just too many attractive sets (mostly higher-end) coming out lately, whew!
I'm really happy with how this ended up! Thank you for your review! I always consult your reviews before making big Lego purchases myself, just to make sure they're worth it.
I get that there’s a lot going in the internal build but it would be nice to see it a little bigger. That or the sale is $90- £100 based on the amount of stuffs
Thanks Jang! I missed the 2014 Ghost so I'm going to grab this one. Given the popularity of Ahsoka, and enduring fan interest in Rebels, I wonder if this model is a taster or prelude to a forthcoming UCS version that could both upscale in size and perhaps boast both sets of crews as figures. Probable? Enough gas in the fandom to warrant such a set?
I totally understand why it doesn’t come with the old crew, but it is nevertheless somewhat disappointing for the people who are mostly happy to get this set as a way to make up for not having had access to the original. Hopefully we can maybe get a smaller rebels set or two over the coming years that could come with some of those figures, particularly if the Ahsoka series increases Rebels nostalgia
Yeah the problem is a lot of Rebels fans are just getting old enough to buy their own sets, most were not when the sets were actually being released, so lego really should be marketing to that group now but they aren’t
I would appreciate it if anyone knows, how I would find advice/directions in modifying the Ghost to add the front cargo bay? Excellent review and I’m looking forward to adding this set to my. Collection.
Hehe. Just built this last night, and when I saw the large gaps my first thought was "I bet Jang's gonna call those out". Still pretty odd. Seems like it wouldn't have taken much to fill them in a little better. 🤷♂
Built this set today, absolutely love it. The underside leaves a little to be desired and I would have loved more figures but the ship is excellent. Cashed in the last of my VIP points and got it for $80AUD, not sure if I would have liked this set as much had I paid full price.
I would like this better at $140 like the Razor Crest. I know this has more pieces but they seem to be similar bulk. At least you don't have to buy two sets to get the whole ship.
First Ghost had the wrong colour hair for Kanan, Second Ghost has the wrong colour hair for his son Jacen. Not surprised, but curious if they will rectify it later.
Yeah but Disney/LucasFilm doesn’t give much info to the Lego Company when it comes to making Lego Star Wars sets. Since the Lego Company seems like information leaks from them at odd times.
Hi, jang! I love this ship, the ghost is my favorite star wars ship! I have been watching your channel for a long time and love these reviews! Expect me to be buying this haha.
This has to be my favourite set of the year I know for the price and the figure selection it's a little lack luster but as a true recreation of the classic 2014 set I unfortunately missed out on it's truly one of the sets of the year
Pretty cool new Lego Ghost, worthy as you say, Jang, I think I'm gonna rewatch your review of the first Ghost from 2014 to have a better comparision between the 2, like the interior space. In all, very nice set, if a bit high at the price range, but quite desirable for fans of Rebels as well as the Ashoka series.
Any opinion on which Ghost and Phantom you prefer Jang? I'm fairly mixed. I'll be getting this upgrade though there is something about the original I prefer. Having both on a shelf seems like a solid option.
I don't like the bottom of the ship. A lot of holes. Could use 20 to 40 more pieces. Older model did it better. But yes I also like the Ghost and loved building it.
How small it was compared to the Falcon was my first thought after finishing it up as I never had the original set. I wish it was a good deal larger for the price.
I have the original / micro fighter ones … do I need another? Probably not…. But this one has an interior and that alone is selling it to me 😅 That hole on the bottom tho? Can’t be that expensive to fill, wonder why it’s there
My gripe with this set is the inside is so devoid of anything. There's a crate with a meiloorun, a sink, and that's it. It would have been nice for a few more easter eggs, like maybe the holocron Kanan had or one of Ezras helmets. The inside just doesn't scream "rebels" or "the ghost" to me.
I like this ship but question to the group, the Ghost, Razor Crest or Millennium Falcon? To purchase as to own one ship. And not based on legacy or anything but based on having a fun ship for playing with and displaying.
tough. I think the figure selection of the most recent falcon and this ghost aren't great, based on the popularity of the characters. But, the razor crest has great figure selection. If you only mean the model, well the ghost has a detachable ship, which the other two don't. The falcon has the best interior by far. The razor crest has a lot of cool little details. When it comes to display they're all equal tbh. Maybe ghost because it has more colour. Except the Solo falcon looks pretty cool as well.
If somebody can answer this, in the back interior there are 2 gray pillars with black curved tops. Can those be removed or do the support the roof? I want to buy this model but I want to make space for at least one bed on each side but preferably two bunk beds if I can.
Honestly it's doesn't look like a minifigure scale. Like Razor crest Collectors scale , the only way to do justice to the ship of similar size. With interior. Even the phantom looks oversized. Hope for 18+ wariant )))
It’s nice update to the original Ghost set & all. But it’s really not worth 160 imo. At most Id say would be like 130 or maybe 140. Even then it pains me to say that though. I’d recommend picking it up on sale.
£150 is actually more in $ than the Euro price of $182.12, and £150 is 187.14, which is atrocious conversion. Going from the price in dollars, it should be at most £130 and €150.
Great set (and great ship overall). Thank you for the review. But yeah, like you said, Lego is dropping the ball on various aspects and we decide if we want to accept it. I don't. For the premium price they ask, the sets have to be PERFECT. Ship is too small for the price and in comparison to the latest Falcon. Jason's hairs are inaccurate, i dont care what happen behind the curtain, ultimately we pay for it and this is a fail. Windshield/canopy should be printed and opaque.
The frustrating, maddening, desperate issues with the sets being cheap ive noticed is correlated with their licensed sets? At least with star wars and jurassic. It must be a nasty soup of them knowing its going to sell anyway vs licencing fees vs their own reading of the quality of the upcoming tv media (why make huge product lines for flopped tv).
How can Lego fit two figs in a ship as small as the phantom but they can’t fit two figs in a Jedi ‘shuttle’? And for some reason I thought this set was already $140. I might wait till it drops or not even get it at all. Lego has so many other great sets coming out.
I feel like this should be $80-100 max. For a whopping $160,I expect more polished sections. The technic holes at the bottom and gaps that Jang pointed and the section at the back when the Ghost is removed is not ok.
I was also disappointed in the size, I thought it would be a little bigger. Jacen’s hair is a huge mistake but other then that it was a really fun build though, and it looks so much like the ghost does in the shows.
That's a pretty good rendition of the Ghost and Phantom II. It's unfortunate about the sticker. That really should have been a print. Chopper's head is too bright. I think it should be dark orange. Whoa $160 is way too much for this! It's not THAT big.
It's way overpriced in Europe. This should be 120€ set. Hopefully the retail price will fall somewhere around that. It looks really cool from the top and I like the inclusion of the Phantom, but I don't think I'll get it unless the show really convinces me to do so.
It looks pretty good in general! I can _just_ understand the kiddo’s hair not being green: it’d be a one off use of that mould in that color (which might not even match, similar to the orange lightsaber blades), so it’s cheaper to reuse Ned’s hair from Spider-Man. Not ideal, but good enough for now.
Actually who says it would be a one off? It could be in a Lego City set later or something. And they’ve already used orange lightsaber blades in other contexts before.
Another thing to add, you can also put Chopper's head on the left side of the phantom
I noticed that too, it's great
Yes and what's interesting is the instructions say NOTHING of this!
Thank you, I wasn’t sure if u could
Jacen keeping Kanan's legacy of miscolored hairpieces alive
I was all ready to criticize this Ghost for the lack of the upper turret being able to rotate, but it was totally worth it to give the set an interior.
I think there’s enough room to do both
oh wow, the interior is SICK for a small lego ship, they really crammed it in there somehow
Love this set. Would’ve been even greater if those panels on each corner could flip up to reveal a bed or table or something
I think it's pretty comparable to the Falcon. In my opinion, having the ghost come around every 10-15 years, but a new falcon every 3 means the Ghost will end up being a little more special to many people. Thank you so much Jang for your consistently honest reviews. It’s always insightful and helps me make an educated purchase.

In the Ashoka show the Ghost is WAY to plain and grey, while the animated (and this model) is far more colourful
Thank you Jang for being the only Lego reviewer I've seen so far who doesn't immediately assume the larger lower window is the cockpit! Was so happy to see you put Hera in her proper piloting position! :D
It's a bummer that since the ghost is less popular, Lego isn't willing to make one the same size as the falcon, when it should really be bigger.
Love the review as always! Great build, I think the size is fine. Love the meiloorum fruit Easter egg in the crate, such a great episode IMO
This set really looks good. I will probably be waiting for Amazon to have a sale or for Lego to have x2 points.

man, a little more budget and i'd almost call this a UCS with how beautiful it looks
I hope Lego keeps making good use of interior space. Been wanting this for decades.
I'm really happy with how this ended up! Thank you for your review! I always consult your reviews before making big Lego purchases myself, just to make sure they're worth it.

The only one needed is a new Zeb.
All the others are reasonably priced on secondary market.

I'm not a modern star wars guy at all but these new sets are killer.
I would like this better at $140 like the Razor Crest. I know this has more pieces but they seem to be similar bulk. At least you don't have to buy two sets to get the whole ship.
THE FRUIT IS A MEILOORUN I LOVE IT
First Ghost had the wrong colour hair for Kanan, Second Ghost has the wrong colour hair for his son Jacen. Not surprised, but curious if they will rectify it later.
Yeah but Disney/LucasFilm doesn’t give much info to the Lego Company when it comes to making Lego Star Wars sets. Since the Lego Company seems like information leaks from them at odd times.
Looks amazing fantastic set great review injonied your twich ghost build last ngt was fun
just got this a week ago, what a build, its a lot bigger than i thought it was
Hi, jang! I love this ship, the ghost is my favorite star wars ship! I have been watching your channel for a long time and love these reviews! Expect me to be buying this haha.

Jacen’s hair issue takes after his father 😂
Jang never fails to make good content
Any opinion on which Ghost and Phantom you prefer Jang? I'm fairly mixed. I'll be getting this upgrade though there is something about the original I prefer. Having both on a shelf seems like a solid option.
I love this, one day I hope we get a ucs version
I don't like the bottom of the ship. A lot of holes. Could use 20 to 40 more pieces. Older model did it better.
But yes I also like the Ghost and loved building it.
Nice Christmas Story reference
I'm not sure if Lego is marketing kids or actually us adults when i see what they releases in the different series :p
I consider this a play set
These characters and this ship were originally from the Star Wars Rebels cartoon series, so I would say this set appeals to everyone.
Those NR soldiers are completly background extras in the show. I assumed they'd have some role based on lego figures.
I wish this whole thing was twice as big. Somewhere between this size and full UCS minifig scale.
I'm on bag 9 of building this.
It makes me so happy!
How small it was compared to the Falcon was my first thought after finishing it up as I never had the original set. I wish it was a good deal larger for the price.
Just ordered this, can't wait to build it
I have the original / micro fighter ones … do I need another? Probably not…. But this one has an interior and that alone is selling it to me 😅

Probably my favorite lego star wars set, thanks for the awesome review Jang!
Cool spaceship. I don't like the top turret can't rotate. And not the canopy sticker - uuhh. Otherwise is nice, but too expensive.
As someone who owns the 2014 ghost should I buy this new one?
Should I sell my old Ghost / Phantom 1 & 2 to buy this instead?
Aw, I thought you said 100... and I was very surprised! But then you finished the rest of your sentence :/ Great review as always!
If somebody can answer this, in the back interior there are 2 gray pillars with black curved tops. Can those be removed or do the support the roof? I want to buy this model but I want to make space for at least one bed on each side but preferably two bunk beds if I can.
Glad I used my lego points on this totally worth the discount I got on it because of it!!
Great Review! Always appreciate your input 💕 Ashoka sets!💕
Oh god, I was going to say for $160, if they didn't throw in a kitchen sink into the deal, but someone beat me to it. Dang it, they already knew.
I also bought this set, it was really enjoyable!
Looks good. But $260 AU for this is absolute daylight robbery
Am I out of the loop or is that a new skin tone for the Officer Hawkins minifig?
Shouldn't Chopper have a different droid leg? They made a big deal out of it in the animated series.
Can the old Phantom II fit on the back?
Nice review
I can’t wait to get this.
Too bad we don't get discounts on this here in Europe, because it's an Amazon exclusive....
Great set
Honestly it's doesn't look like a minifigure scale. Like Razor crest Collectors scale , the only way to do justice to the ship of similar size. With interior. Even the phantom looks oversized. Hope for 18+ wariant )))
I do think the old one is pretty amazing, but this ain’t bad at all
It’s nice update to the original Ghost set & all. But it’s really not worth 160 imo. At most Id say would be like 130 or maybe 140. Even then it pains me to say that though. I’d recommend picking it up on sale.
I just think the underside of the ghost should have been expanded so there would be room for crew quarters and the loading ramp at the front.
Good video

Oh no, where'd Suletta go?
This set makes me sad the t-6 isnt as quality of a ship
Buy Ghost for the ship and T-6 for the figures.
Like father like son. Kanan had the wrong colored hair in the original Ghost set
❤ thank you 🙏🏻 for another fantastic video. You’re the best on UA-cam. Even though the blue exhaust is not accurate.. omg 😱 I love it!
Value is honestly being

Yes
Man, that doesn't look like a €170 set at all!
Good Review
this is actually a very nice looking Star Wars ship. but i think it is a bit overpriced for me. might get on on discount in the future
The set looks amazing!
I feel like this should be $80-100 max. For a whopping $160,I expect more polished sections. The technic holes at the bottom and gaps that Jang pointed and the section at the back when the Ghost is removed is not ok.

That's a pretty good rendition of the Ghost and Phantom II.
It's unfortunate about the sticker. That really should have been a print.
Chopper's head is too bright. I think it should be dark orange.
Whoa $160 is way too much for this! It's not THAT big.
Yeah, the old Chopper minifigure was more accurate.
I’m really not interested in who’s to blame, if a set is inaccurate then that’s that
It's way overpriced in Europe. This should be 120€ set. Hopefully the retail price will fall somewhere around that. It looks really cool from the top and I like the inclusion of the Phantom, but I don't think I'll get it unless the show really convinces me to do so.
Awesome review! Why doesn't this guy get free lego sets to review?
At that price i was hoping for a more ucs style ghost, but as a rebels fan I'll settle for what we get
A ucs ghost would easily be $800 if not more
It looks pretty good in general!
LEGO never want to try... sigh.... Enough with sticker sheets already.
Me when I saw this ✋😑👌
It's too small for the price and for what it should be.
Lego can only do so much with the source material coming from Disney wars over the last few years. That being said, it's a beautiful ship.
