GREAT VIDEO! We have a 2017 Pacifica Hybrid Platinum. 21k miles, 11k of them all electric. Getting about 41 mpg and visiting the gas station once every other month. Hate on minivans all you want, but you can't get the MPG in any other 7-seater. With all the safety tech it's a joy to drive!
I've had my Pacifica Hybrid for almost a year now and have never once mistaken the volume knob for the shifter. They are totally different knobs with totally different shapes and feel. Also, unlike the reviewer, I wish there was a way to force it to stay in electric-only mode not gas mode, especially in the winter. I don't want to burn any gas if at all possible. Summer is no problem, it stays in EV mode almost all the time, but winter I wish I could force EV mode for shorter trips. Honda 'cabin talk' is a gimmick. Kids in the back have no trouble hearing the driver, probably because it's such a quiet car due to the electric drive. There's no CVT in the van! NOT A CVT! In fact there's no transmission at all really, it's a transaxle with embedded electric motors. There's an electric motor and a reduction gear that drive the wheels directly at all times. The gas engine is connected to a second electric motor which can act either as a motor or a generator and through a one-way clutch the gas motor can add torque to the wheels but there's no gearing for it and no CVT. That's what they're calling an "EVT" for marketing purposes but really it's nothing like a CVT or an automatic. The primary electric motor is what drives the wheels. It's an electric car with a gas motor to help out sometimes. We currently have almost 2,000km on our current tank of gas which is still above half and which we bought in March. It will be June this week. I don't know what the "sluggishness" thing is about, ours is not sluggish, and 50% throttle (to stay in EV mode) is sufficient to merge onto the highway so I disagree about the acceleration complaint. It's a 6,000-odd pound minivan not a Tesla Roadster, perhaps expectations need to be adjusted accordingly. Even without a Government subsidy, the gas savings of about $2,000 per year for an average driver alone would pay the cost difference in about three years of ownership. After that it makes owning it much cheap than the gas-only counterpart. Not only do you not need to buy gas every week but brakes won't wear out as quickly thanks to re-gen braking. Also, the rims stay cleaner because less brake dust because less brake use!
J Patt yeah pretty much. I don’t know miles but we’re getting better than advertised km range depending on driving habits. We routinely get about 60km range in the summer. Advertised was 55km so we’re happy.
Mikey B question I'm new to the whole minivan thing and the hybrid thing. 1. does the van come with two plugs? So if I upgraded my standard120w to a 220w what is the plug already in the car or is that something I have to get before you buy it? 2. I drive my kids to school in the morning and then go to work total about 8 miles from my house, so does that mean I'll never use gas if I have it fully charged?
I just bought a minivan, something I never thought I’d do. I got it to use as a car camper. Now everyone borrows it to haul lumber, big screen tvs, estate sale hauls, etc. Now my daughter is buying a Pacifica to use as family vehicle and haul bikes, skis, etc. she has the one that mid and rear has stow & go seating.
Proud owner of a 2018 Pacifica blacked out w the S package. It's damn hard to keep clean but so far our family is loving it. Decided it over the Oddyssey. That one is nice too.
I am not a fan of minivans, but I acknowledge that their value is in their passenger carrying capabilities. As a whole, styling-wise, I've never liked them until the Honda Odyssey 4th gen came out in mid 2010 when I nearly caved in to purchase one. The new Pacifica came out and I really like it, along with the 5th gen Odyssey. The fact it took anyone so long to manufacture a hybrid minivan that's any good is surprising. Good job Chrysler.
Technical note: The term "E-CVT" is more of a marketing term. When people want to know what kind of transmission a car has, and when talking about Hybrids, it's easier to just say "E-CVT". In reality, the electric motors are the transmission. One electric motor is connected to the engine, the other is connected to the wheels. When car is in extended range mode (The gas engine is running), the engine will drive one motor to generator power, which is sent to the second motor to turn the wheels. Excess power is sent to the battery, or if more power is needed than the engine can supply, it is taken from the battery. PS: Both electric motors and the engine are connected to each other through a planetary gear set. But that's too complicated to explain here.
The Chrysler Pacifica seems like a pretty solid entry in its class. A few weeks ago I went on a mini road trip with a rented Chrysler Pacifica minivan and I wasn't too thrilled when I found out that I had to sit in the third row. Luckily, Chrysler has made the interior very spacious with relatively comfortable seats. Even though I am almost 6 feet tall, I had no complaints during the drive. As far as exterior styling goes, I really like the rear styling and the overall sleek looks of the Pacifica, but I wish Chrysler would update the front fascia to look less like the defunct Chrysler 200 and have more of its own unique identity. Nevertheless, the interior looks very upscale and technology forward. As always, from one car reviewer to another, great review, Sofyan! Keep it up!
That's all my Mom drove growing up. Had a 2000 Ford Windstar SE that lasted 9 years with 156,000 miles, now she still has her 2008 Kia Sedona which has 152,000 miles now and its been problem free. I now drive a compact sedan but do miss the acceleration that my Mom's Minivan has.
Such a gorgeous van. I’m usually not crazy about vans or mini vans for that matter, but the Pacifica is amazing the details and features it comes with!
I just got back from the Chrysler dealership and had the opportunity to ride this van. I love the acceleration and smooth ride. I unfortunately couldn't buy it because there's a recall on the ACC cruise control. Dealerships won't be able to sell them until it gets fixed unfortunately.
This van should be purpose built for car campers. Sort of Pacifica-Westfalia. Ideally it should be possible to park at charger for the night, plug in, and run AC while charging batteries. Sleep on the back of it comfortably. Market for this is huge, expecially when you take in to account insane house/hotel prices.
Of all the channels that does "reviews" this is the only channel that actually does a REAL! review, he mention the good, the bad about the vehicle, not like the rest that sounds more like a pat advertisement.
Almost have 200k miles on our Odyssey which we bought new and have had ZERO issues outside of routine stuff - AMAZING - I don't believe that is possible with a Chrysler product. Only averaged 23 mpg in our Odyssey (with a very heavy foot). As much as I would love to get a van that can get 32 mpg, for the money, I believe the Odyssey is still a better value and a much better vehicle - hard to argue with results.
After owning two Odysseys I decided to take a chance on the Pacifica. Mainly because I didn't like removing the middle row when we drove to Florida every year. Now I have a flat floor and still keep the middle row buried under the floor. I like all the tech stuff, too and take full advantage of all it has to offer. Acceleration puts the Odyssey to shame as well. We get 24 mpg driving south each year and most of that is at 70+.
Enjoyed the review. I bought a Town & Country about 8 years ago and liked the van. Chrysler made a good van with nice options as standard in their trim levels. My wife had a problem with blind spots but the van was comfortable to ride in. I would definitely give the Pacifica a look when we look for our next car, but probably not the hybrid. I think it’ll be about 10 years before the hybrid can give you good driving distance on a charge, 33 miles isn’t much of an incentive for me to pay that much more for a hybrid.
Depends on your driving habits but we went from August 30th last year to December 15th without having to buy gas and we're currently at over half a tank which I bought on March 4th this year. We're getting better than advertised range (about 60km depending) and that more than covers our daily needs. Some days we charge mid-day too which helps. We try and drive on electricity as much as possible and so far it hasn't been much of an issue. Ideally though, yeah drop the gas entirely and put in a big battery.
Mikey B .......Tell me Mike, did you have to put in some special wiring in your garage or parking area to charge your vehicle? Has your electric bill gone up substantially since charging the van? I know it’s not my business and I’m okay with that, but if it’s alright how long does it take to get a full charge? Thanks in advance for response.
Richard Rybarczyk We did get a charger installed and it takes less than two hours to charge. Our hydro bill doesn’t seem to have changed too much, the car uses maybe about as much electricity as a dryer. Our second car is now also electric since we had the charger installed for the Pacifica.
This is a great proposition, you don't need to consume any gas for city driving. A great application of PHEV. Why do people buy the three row crossover monstrosities when there are vehicles that actually work for 8 passengers?? I mean, unless you're going to tow a camper trailer, it makes no sense.
I have to say, it has a beautifully designed interior. Very spacious seating in the 2nd & 3rd rows & the giant moon roof makes all 3 rows bright & airy. Also has way more features than comparably priced Siennas or Odysseys. However, the cargo space, especially behind the 3rd row seats is significantly less than a Sienna, which was a deal breaker for my purposes. Also, long term reliability is an unknown at the point.
Currently own this and yes the part I have to get aftermarket HID is annoying. The plugin feature great for short distance or daily commute. The acceleration is good for car it weight. It transmission is NOT CVT! Direct driving with dual electric motors. The gasoline engine seem to use lot of gas when it refresh the oil for some reason. They need to make it lane keeping assist and not just lane mitigation. It doesn't actively track and steer for you only nudge you back if you hit the lane. The adaptive cruise control much smoother than my MDX when people cut you off.
Gas and oil refresh mode is mostly meant to burn off stale gas (but there are other triggers as well) so it's basically supposed to use a lot of gas in that mode.
Thanks for offering feedback from an actual owner. What do you mean when you say "... use a lot of gas when it refresh the oil..."? You mean fuel economy drops after an oil change? How long does this last?
'17's have half shaft issues. Don't know of the '18 resolved this. The '18 is the first year to get AA & ACP. You can still remove those heavy A 2nd row seats. For a big bus 30'ish miles of pure EV range is pretty impressive. If you leave the 2nd row seats in a garage you can get even more range.
I hope the port authority buys this for their Airport shuttles. It would make lot of sense in the city. These vans would also sell well in china as shared taxis.
What's actually really fascinating about the Pacifica hybrid is that actually gets better gas mileage in the city! Due to its regenerative braking feature, which harnesses kinetic energy every time the driver hits the brakes, it uses that energy to then recharge! So if you were doing more highway driving that would explain why you were getting around 9 mpg less than what Chrysler says. Good review though!
best work truck I have ever owned is my 2004 Sienna minivan all-wheel drive. can haul all the dogs and kids and tools chippers weedeaters shredders chainsaws and garbage cans full of stuff inside. I leave out the middle seats. mine has a hundred and thirty thousand miles on it now with no issues except needed a timing belt. with the back seats folded into the the floor I have carried a motorcycle and slept inside.
DON'T BUY A PACIFICA! If I can save one person from getting stuck with one of these my time is worth it. A warning to prospective buyers: I bought a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with only 11,500 MI back in May. Since I purchased it the start-stop feature stopped working and the whole car just died at a stop. Got that battery replaced and automatic start stop still didn't work. Then a couple of months later I was driving on the freeway and the car started to stall and I couldn't control it as well. It had a warning alarm going off to service the power steering. I had the car fixed for that and then 2 weeks later I had the SAME problem plus like five other error codes such as service shifter, break not available, service electronic stability control etc. It won't drive. All Kia dealerships in my area are always backed up at least a week for service appointments (because they have so many problems) Most people don't have rental coverage and if they do they will not give you a rental until your appointment date so you do not have a car for over a week unless you are going to come out of pocket to rent one. I went on Chrysler Pacifica forums and saw all these problems people have with them such as not being able to turn off cruise control AT ALL when they are on the freeway and it even accelerating on its own or the car doing automatic emergency braking on it's own without cause on the freeway jeopardizing people's lives. So many complaints to the NHTSA. I'm considering selling the car now to CarMax and buying a different brand van. What's a shame is someone else is going to be stuck with this potentially unsafe and DEFINITELY unreliable car. I'm outside the California lemon law limits of 18 months or 18,000 miles so I can't go that route. This is just a huge headache! Save yourselves.
they really need a blacked out interior option ... if i owned one i feel like i would pay some company to customize the interior walls/ceiling with some dark wrap
Hope someday local minivans like Toyota voxy, honda stepwgn, nissan serena, and mitsubishi delica becomes available there. It doesn't pass America's road situation to be exported there. We don't worry about a car being turned over, moose test and others. Alphard, el grand, and even Hi Ace are too good to be missed out by western markets!
Besides the HID headlights, they could've at least gone with LED headlights. Typical of FCA cheapening on the Pacifica and mostly the Dodge journey. Have you seen this year's journey? It looks like it's still stuck in 2009, other than minor exterior and interior changes.
I want this vehicle to do well in sale but I rarely see it on the roads here in Missouri. My 2006 G Caravan has 183k and still running great. The reliability has been really good since I bought it at 8 months old.
Like your reviews but I wish you would talk about the sound systems more, I feel audio quality is also important when talking about the entertainment systems and dashboard tech
Few vehicles can replace vans for ultimate utility on engineered surfaces. CUV's, SUV's truly reveal to those that have owned both what they are giving up with regards the carry of people and things, unless they 'truly' require/desire the mission of an SUV and it's off-road/technical terrain capabilities.
Less a comprehensive review and more a "I dont like this, oh, I like that". Objectively review, less about what tickles you, else every vehicle you don't personally warm to is going to seem like a lemon. I do appreciate how you go into detail, but I fear it overall comes across as too, 'personal'. Unless that's the point of the channel, which in that case is legit.
88goga88 yes they can that’s why nobody buys minivans because there stupid and nobody buys them because SUVs and Crossovers are the way to go for family, hauling, having the looks, having a much more powerful engine, and they can off-road successfully . Minivans are nothing but pieces of shit they don’t deserve to exist in the automotive world because they look stupid as fuck and there slow as fuck and the sliding doors are just the definition of stupidity and if you open an SUV door into another car that’s your own damn fault ok so SUVs and crossovers are eliminating minivans and minivans will be extinct soon so that will be good so GET USED TO IT.
NateCarVideos88 umm are you in denial? There are tons of siennas and oddyseys around. You can keep your escalades to yourself. Minivans are normal cars with different bodies. And you can't beat Toyota and Honda reliability. Shut up
ajlaurenjunjo bro wtf are you even talking about it took you about my last reply to you was a month ago and now your replying bro your the coward because it took you a month just to reply to what I said last time
guys there is a saying - "there only not-wise" people argue about the taste" first of all if someone loves mini-vans that's totally fine,.. and if someone loves suvs that fine as well. I personally love both. we do don't have get mad on each other about it. you know,.. I am a car guy, i know a lot about cars, I have tasted many years those things. I owned both suvs & minivans. what I want to say you can NOT compare two different type of items. every car has its own class. (first of all they belong to two different category) let's say you can NOT compare Ferrari to jeep wrangler they have totally different purpose. but if you still want to compare suv & minivan (which is a not right thing to do) in that case the main point I want to say that suv can replace only PARTLY. NOT FULLY REPLACE. because there are some nuances that suv can not offer that van can. practicality, space, storage space, let's say you can put your hand right between first row seat (at the console) or at the floor between same console & dash (i mean the place were the some odyssey have frige). also on vans (unlikely the suv) luggage area is huge. also it's easy (on van) to move from second row to the 3rd row.(unlikely the suv) . also doors on vans are much, much safer and practical. easy to get in/out, secure because of the less risk following cars can heat the doors. also it's easy to (on van) put kids at the carseat. there some other nuances which i did not mention. the conclusion is suvs NOT FULLY replace the vans. simply THAT'S WAY manufacturers are still making them. because THEY KNOW WHAT I KNOW. and you guys (who say the opposite) DO NOT KNOW. i do not mean to offend anyone. but this is a reality what we have. and two more thing: modern vans are actually very beautiful, in 80-s and in 90-s vans was considered kind of uncool but those days has gone. the modern vans are fantastic. and the last thing: even more there is one minivan called Mitsubishi Delica , which fully replace the suv. you will be shocked actually but Delica (i will give you the link) is fully framed base, trucked based, body on frame minivan with huge ground clearance. it fully off road minivan like jeep wrangler but it's minivan. so my friends, most likely the minivan can replace the suv but not vise versa. here is links, one link is for Delica and second link also VERY important watch it there is about sienna & grand Cherokee. ( don''t get me wrong o love g.c. but here is experiment) this two link, both is for sienna-g.c. ua-cam.com/video/EeSofPKZ6cY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/e3Pr-MCp4Zo/v-deo.html and this link is about the: mitsubishi Delica. (offroad minivan) ua-cam.com/video/Am09a9sE0lM/v-deo.html
We need to buy a new Minivan. Hesitating between 3: 1) Kia Sedona 2) Chrysler Pacifica (maybe the Hybrid) 3) Honda Odyssey All of them would be the new version (2019 or 2020 if they come out in August), and the top of the line ones. Which one would you recommend and why? What about reliability?
Just a guess, but it would seem since its so heavy, you would go through tires very quickly if it was super fast off the line. If it is exploding from a stop, the tread on the tires suffers way more.
you mentioned how slow it was off the line so many times, but i don't agree. maybe when you compare to an electric car, but when compared to normal vehicles it accelerates better than most IMO.
Well they're currently addressing a cruise control recall due to a software glitch. I'm scared of FCA. I hope this doesn't happen with other makes due to all of the electronic driver assistance systems. Other than that, it's a nice van in terms of options and aesthetics.
Brian McKoy same they have had quite a few recalls on many of there vehicles...most of them electronic but still doesn't say much in terms of reliability
Pretty much FCA has (almost) the same type of issue that Toyota used to have when Toyota recalled almost 5 million products for unintended acceleration. But however I see FCA's Cruise Control recall as an electrical issue. In terms of mechanical FCA does fine.
I don't think so, it wouldn't take charge at that point, you could have it start up and it will autoset temperature settings and get you where you need to be when you step back in. It will then be almost charged and still say it's charging and you walk up, unplug it, and walk into a car cooled/heated slightly. I would just wait till you get back in because the engine may be triggered by trying to getting to your settings and not worth it. It cools quick with the ventilated seats.
Im trying to buy the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus 8 FWD. Is that tax credit is for all the new models only. I had done alot research for Honda and Pathfinder and other brands, trying to finf a more spacious for the family. This one is electric and gas. I think I will buy this one
the thing i found about mileage is a trick ... u have to drive under the 2500 rmp bar and at higher gear like 5 or 6 which ever is the highest take off slowly don't floor it ... and break slowly like gradually before coming to complete stop ... i have a hyundai car with just 65 bhp i get around 19 kmpl per liter u can multiply it with liters in gallon ... hope this is helpfull to anyone who is tight on gas ... as i m and i drive alot like 2000 kms a month atleast
You need to update your review with the correct information on how the drivetrain works. I am disappointed that you apparently did not prepare properly for this review.
I don’t understand why you insist on saying multiple times that a minivan cannot have “sexy or pleasing design cues.. a minivan does not necessarily cater to those “unfortunate enough” to have one or more kids, as you mention. That bias is artificial and not very good on your part. The capability of such a vehicle to fit a multitude of functions ranging from your stereotypical soccer mom to a great weekend mini RV to hauling a sound system for a small band or a plethora of other functions... maybe you inject your bias unconsciously, but try not to pigeonhole a minivan into that old stereotype, they have evolved immensely and perhaps your view of them should also.
I wonder when you say it's slow off the line, I wonder if the acceleration is problematic while getting off the ramp of a highway and merging into that fast moving traffic especially when it's fully loaded with a family's vacation gear. I have the town and country and when it's fully loaded sometimes the acceleration off the ramp is a problem. Seing this review I see several things that are really nice for families although I'd miss the stow and go seats. I would be curious of a review of a mom with 2 or more kids of this vehicle because parents driving their kids around have a different perspective than single people, but you have a great review. I drive my 2 kids around and a minivan is essential for their gear SUV's don't have enough trunk space. And on those days when I'm asked on short notice to drive an entire girl scout troop, the extra seats are essential too. Your review mentioned missing heated middle row seats, those are the seats that kid carseats usually go in so if your kids are that age we don't care about heated seats. and none of the vans have comfortable ways to get in the back seats, kids go back there. when an adult sits back there in ours we tilt down a 3rd row seat and climb in from the trunk!
Heated Rear Seated are just not available on the Pacifica Hybrid Model. As well as no Auto mode for the rear climate control it single zone manual in the rear. Again, if you want those features step up to the gas model.
If I ever end up with more than two kids, which I hope I don't, I'd much rather have one of those extra long suburbans. Probably get a used one and use it to take the kids camping, tow atv's or maybe a boat.
Crossovers have such few significant benefit over minivans. They are less roomy AND less practical. The only benefit with crossovers is choice. Minivans will always be the better vehicle to me.

Do you still have your van? I’m very curious how many miles you’re getting from the battery after years of use

I prefer the term, "one speed".

Why do they have such a bad reputation for shitty trans missions

Minivans are so useful. More useful than 3 row crossovers. 😁
no

True! SUVs have a better use in just tow hauling heavy things, while minivans have way more practicality
mid size SUVs are better m8
Tupac's Step Sister Yeah no they are not unless they're body on frame SUVs.

I find it a little strange how Chrysler removed the power folding mirrors and the HID from the hybrid... doesn’t really make sense
It uses battery life or something. Jk cost cutting!
Being cheap..cost cutting smdh
Rob S Yeah! Like that wastes that much battery!
Price
2019 Limited Hybrid has power folding mirrors.
i wish toyota offered a hybrid minivan in the US
I agree. The suspension on a US Toyota have gone downhill over the years.
One of the best car reviewers. Live your videos and watch them every time.
First plug in minivan with a serious recall for electrical issues....great job Chrysler.
What recall?
@@slandshark yeah exactly lol, I have a 2018, maybe it was a 2017 recall
Dont know if coincidence or intentionally but i got a Pacifica ad right before the vid.
Sofyan is always testing the vehicles we don't think about but great to know the latest trends and technology.
Mikey B .....Thanks a lot for the info, I thought the electric bill would have gone up a lot but I guess I’m wrong. Have a great day Mike.
This is a great proposition, you don't need to consume any gas for city driving. A great application of PHEV. Why do people buy the three row crossover monstrosities when there are vehicles that actually work for 8 passengers?? I mean, unless you're going to tow a camper trailer, it makes no sense.
Great Video. If only Chrysler had Good Reliability. We’ll see how reliable these Pacifica’s are in a few years.
Robert Schneider i mean ford is just as bad
I've had Fords and they do have problems, but Ford isn't bad as Chrysler. That's just my personal experience. I had both brands over the years.
Robert Schneider i agree
Yep
Lots of moving bits, I'll have to Cry-Sell-Her
I have to say, it has a beautifully designed interior.
10:05 "sunroof holders" 😂
Soyfan Soyfan Soyfan...
Everyone's tastes are different. I find the front end of the Pacifica very handsome while I find the rear end has a tortured look.
This is the ultimate Uber driver car
It can seat 7 people
It has a nice interior
And it gets 84 miles per gallon
This is the vehicle I want when I win the lottery lol. I want one so bad.
Another great review..one of my favorite reviewer...I like the Pacifica...I think it's the best minivan out...I'll take it over the Odyssey 🙄
Love the cargo space and how easy it is to hide the seats
I'm not sure why people hate vans so much but I love them.
best work truck I have ever owned is my 2004 Sienna minivan all-wheel drive. can haul all the dogs and kids and tools chippers weedeaters shredders chainsaws and garbage cans full of stuff inside. I leave out the middle seats. mine has a hundred and thirty thousand miles on it now with no issues except needed a timing belt. with the back seats folded into the the floor I have carried a motorcycle and slept inside.
Best minivan ever !!
All Kia dealerships in my area are always backed up at least a week for service appointments (because they have so many problems)
Most people don't have rental coverage and if they do they will not give you a rental until your appointment date so you do not have a car for over a week unless you are going to come out of pocket to rent one.
Sofyan’s videos are the best! Keep it up man!
This guy is an annoying Brick-Foot Driver who needs to learn how to properly drive a car for Efficiency as well as for Safety!
they really need a blacked out interior option ... if i owned one i feel like i would pay some company to customize the interior walls/ceiling with some dark wrap
2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, 3,368 miles.
love it there is also a eletric one
I'd like to see you take a risk and review the new Mitsubishi eclipse cross. Love the reviews Soyfan.
Grey is the wrong colour other than that I applaud FCA for building this great Plug in Hybrid.
FCA likely limited total torque when flooring it to protect the powertrain and hybrid components. On top of that, who is bracket racing minivans?
who want to merge on the freeway?
It's not "rocket quick" out of the hole, but it's not a dog either.
... merges just fine into traffic, and definitely has no trouble passing.
Nice review Soyfan your videos is awesome
Anyone else having resolution issues?
suv's & crossovers just can NOT replace vans.
Shut up
@@natecarvideos8898 wow you are a coward for not replying
ajlaurenjunjo bro wtf are you even talking about it took you about my last reply to you was a month ago and now your replying bro your the coward because it took you a month just to reply to what I said last time
guys there is a saying - "there only not-wise" people argue about the taste" first of all if someone loves mini-vans that's totally fine,.. and if someone loves suvs that fine as well.
At the beginning of the intro I thought it was going to be the first time you don’t mention crossovers, but then I was wrong.
So from a full stop, it accelerates like an inline 4 sedan?
I gap a lot of people and by many car lengths, but my tires go bare
love your videos! post some if you got one
We need to buy a new Minivan.
Hesitating between 3:
1) Kia Sedona
2) Chrysler Pacifica (maybe the Hybrid)
3) Honda Odyssey
All of them would be the new version (2019 or 2020 if they come out in August), and the top of the line ones.
Which one would you recommend and why? What about reliability?
Just a guess, but it would seem since its so heavy, you would go through tires very quickly if it was super fast off the line. If it is exploding from a stop, the tread on the tires suffers way more.
It still does, mine goes wicked fast
Minivan is the best than three row crossover
Now I can save my money with this
nice video sofyan
this was a very good review
Great video! What kind of dash cam is that white one (Sony?) a list of cameras & mic used would be awesome 😊
Well my aunt rented one really comfortable for 6 people on a 9 hour trip
"Sunroof holders" at 10:05 lol!!!!
Thanks
10:10 OMG I LOVE CONVEX MIRRORS!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
you mentioned how slow it was off the line so many times, but i don't agree. maybe when you compare to an electric car, but when compared to normal vehicles it accelerates better than most IMO.
Brian McKoy Toyota had 2 recalls on the new Camry.
Jaylen Bond What's up with the Camry now??
Pretty much FCA has (almost) the same type of issue that Toyota used to have when Toyota recalled almost 5 million products for unintended acceleration. But however I see FCA's Cruise Control recall as an electrical issue. In terms of mechanical FCA does fine.
Brian McKoy FCA has major quality control issues and its reputation is hurting because of this.
This is the most beautiful minivan ever. I am a fan of honda odessey. I am disappointed with this review
Can you charge it and run the AC at the same time?
You can't control the RPM in this car; it's determined by your speed and the computer.
You need to update your review with the correct information on how the drivetrain works. I am disappointed that you apparently did not prepare properly for this review.
I want to buy the Chrysler Spuhdoodledorf Hybrid Mini Van when it comes out in 2020.
I don’t understand why you insist on saying multiple times that a minivan cannot have “sexy or pleasing design cues.. a minivan does not necessarily cater to those “unfortunate enough” to have one or more kids, as you mention. That bias is artificial and not very good on your part. The capability of such a vehicle to fit a multitude of functions ranging from your stereotypical soccer mom to a great weekend mini RV to hauling a sound system for a small band or a plethora of other functions... maybe you inject your bias unconsciously, but try not to pigeonhole a minivan into that old stereotype, they have evolved immensely and perhaps your view of them should also.
good review.
you press the remote start button only a 3rd time, not another 2 times, to turn the remote starter off. just FYI.
How much would it be a month and can you get it without a garage?
10:05 what is “sunroof holders” ??
You rock
Heated Rear Seated are just not available on the Pacifica Hybrid Model. As well as no Auto mode for the rear climate control it single zone manual in the rear. Again, if you want those features step up to the gas model.
Mitsubishi outlander Phev review is coming right?
If I ever end up with more than two kids, which I hope I don't, I'd much rather have one of those extra long suburbans. Probably get a used one and use it to take the kids camping, tow atv's or maybe a boat.
Kindly review the Kia Sedona? It’s over price for our budget for the Chrysler.
Crossovers have such few significant benefit over minivans. They are less roomy AND less practical. The only benefit with crossovers is choice. Minivans will always be the better vehicle to me.
Does it come with hybrid and gas in one package like other hybrids?
"Hybrid" MEANS gas and electric. (Or, I suppose, gasoline and LPG, or gasoline and Fuel Cell, etc)
Sofyan where is Acura RDX review? Comon can’t wait anymore 😜
I’ll wait tell the recalls come in
i find it funny that this has like the same cargo room as a chevy suburban
What is the specs on the on board charger?
Hey, did that kids just trip and fall at 8:25 ?
I like minivans there Swiss knife of vehicles easy to get in and out of load a bunch of stuff even plywood
Try to have your batt charged if you want the car to be quick off the line.
