I’ve had my 23 Sport Hybrid for a few weeks now. Completely agree about smoothness. This is the closest ICE car I’ve driven in terms of smoothness to an EV. Power is decent , nothing to be wowed with or disappointed with. Probably would have gone with a 2.0T if they still offered it, but it’s nice getting 40mpg in this and 35mpg in my Miata. Gas prices can’t hurt me
I've had mine for 3.5 weeks now. Love it. Only a couple of gripes so far. The wireless charger appears to only slow charge. The 12-speaker Bose sound system is nice, but thought it would be better. Playing MP3 files sounds a lot better than FM radio. You have to play with the sound settings to get it to sound half decent. The HomeLink mirror should have been standard on the touring model. It is a really nice car.
Wireless charging is going to be slow because it is a trickle charge usually 15W or less. Also “mp3 files” would sound better then radio wave technology. Good observation!
Personally, when I think “power” and “sports car” close to the bottom of that list would be any model Accord. I would never buy an accord because I want to go fast. I would buy an Accord because I want a reliable family car; which is what it is.
@@Wurll That's hard to say quantify really. The Honda V6 is a reliable engine, but so is their 4 cylinder which is what you find in these hybrids. Great review. I had the 22 Accord hybrid and bought the 23 CRV Sport Hybrid in Januar. Both ride awesome but I have to say the CRV's mpg is not that great compared to the Accord. The CRV is in the low to mid 40s in town but only 30mpg on the Interstate driving 80mph. I think the 1.5 turbo does that better!
On freeway drives at 72-75mph in my 2019 2.0t Touring I bring down a solid 34-36mpg. It's a 2.0t though so keeping the right foot off the gas is a chore but even under spirited fun on long drives I get 30-31mpg.

Most of my commute is through country back roads and on the highway so fuel economy wouldn't be too different between the two. However, I am worried about the blown head gasket issues reported for the 1.5T.
It’s only anecdotal, but the 1.5T has been great in my civic. There was also a 2022 civic that went 1 million miles already with the 1.5T, so unless you’re putting a crazy amount of boost you’ll probably be fine
Even if a blown head gasket is a common issue with the 1.5T, it's a $500 job at the independent. Never use dealerships for anything, they are just robbing people and also they don't know what they are doing, don't be fooled by the fact it's official Honda service. Any Accord ever made handles better than the Camry :) This one and the 10th gen are a pleasure to drive, and Touring models have a feel of a much higher end car.
You have to pay $34k just to not have cloth seats and you only get mid 40s MPG, take the Camry XSE/XLE hybrid all day. Way more feature, looks better, cheaper, more reliable (Toyota hybrid tech is 20 yrs in the making) and it will actually be more sporty than this new Accord.
The gripe I have with this car and many of Hondas cars recently is they want to sell a sport model that doesn’t look sporty at all. All they do is stick a small spoiler on the rear and the sport badge. It’s the reason I went with a two toned Toyota Camry XSE V6. They wanted the same price and I got more out of the car 🤷♀️
Having bigger engine doesn't mean you get more :) Accord 2.0T is crushing even a TRD Camry, in a straight line and expecially in corners. Accords also have much better interior and infotainment/electronic features, along with driving dynamics.

I plan on getting this. My concern is the reliability on the 2.0t hybrid system.
There is no more 2.0T, you either get a 1.5T or a 2.0 NA hybrid.
Topher, in terms of the adaptive cruise, lane keep assist/centering, what companies would you recommend?
From regular / economy car brands Hyundai has the best system overall in terms of luxury cars I drove the Mercedes E450, BMW 540i, Genesis G80, and Lexus Gs 350 both systems from Mercedes and Genesis were excellent and reliable
My dealership has this marked up to 48k
Holy cow! What state do you live in?
Criminal and out of date. I got a '23 CR-V hybrid awd for MSRP in norcal 2 months ago.
@@XR4turbo Ooooh where abouts, I'm in the Bay Area and most dealers are still a pain in the ass to work with
@@joespittle1 Hansel Honda up in Petaluma. Some of the north bay dealers were only selling at MSRP to north bay residents, I don't remember if Hansel was one of them. All things considered, they were actually really good and straight forward to deal with.
@@XR4turbo I tried nearly every dealer around the bay and not a single one was offering just a car, no stupid add-ons or mark ups. I simply refused to spend 40k OTD on a Civic
I test drove one today. The gas pedal felt like it had zero resistance. A 2lb trigger if you will. Not sure if this is normal of hybrids and EVs
Pretty much the case with all new drive by wire throttles unfortunately. Gotta build up that tibialis anterior strength!
@@TheTopher gotta fit a stronger spring some how.
really hate how the new accords look, but that infotainment looks so much snappier than my ‘21
Do the headlights pivot or illuminate corner lights when turning L or R with lights on?
46k in Canada for this model 🫠
Test drove the 1.5T EX and then the hybrid sport back to back. Preferred the driving dynamics of the lighter 1.5T which also didn't sacrifice much comfort compared to the hybrid.
That being said, I would rather go with the Hybrid, it has even better fuel economy and the EV side makes it peppier from a dead stop. Also probably quieter overall. And that being said, I would probably rather go with the 2023. CR-V Hybrid, and I'm a sedan guy who owns a 2018 2.0T Touring :)
@@vladimirtalijan I used to own the 2018 2.0T, unfortunately it had it's share of issues. Probably will look at the Arteon next since I don't like SUVs but really want AWD, great practically, and a good, efficient power train.
@@astaldo a 2022 with 1 million miles already. Right.
Assuming it was bought two years ago (730 days) it would have to be driven at least 1,369 miles PER DAY EVERY DAY to hit a million miles. Didn't happen.
@@jeffb.6642 you’re correct, it was 250,000 miles. It’s a Car and Driver article, if you Google civic 2022 250,000 miles it’ll come up. I misremembered the number, but I knew it was some integer multiple of 250,000 and had confused it with the 1 million mile tundra Toyota bought back.
I am a little confused. Many viewers of the Accord Hybrid touring have said there is no satellite radio ( Sirius/XM ) is this true ?
That is correct. No Sirius XM.
Wish it had ambient lighting
The Chinese version of the new Accord is way more luxurious than the US version, and it only provides 1.5 liters version and PHEV instead of HEV version in the US
What would be your pick between this and the Camry hybrid? Do you think this one drives and handles better?
Any Accord ever made handles better than the Camry :) This one and the 10th gen are a pleasure to drive, and Touring models have a feel of a much higher end car.
This is definitely better. Camry is in desperate need of an interior and exterior refresh
@@bitbat9 hell noo u ain’t know what u talking about check xse hybrid
@@vladimirtalijan how much is your total cost including tax for your Honda accord touring?
You have to pay $34k just to not have cloth seats and you only get mid 40s MPG, take the Camry XSE/XLE hybrid all day. Way more feature, looks better, cheaper, more reliable (Toyota hybrid tech is 20 yrs in the making) and it will actually be more sporty than this new Accord.
Is this car too big for a new driver?
The gripe I have with this car and many of Hondas cars recently is they want to sell a sport model that doesn’t look sporty at all. All they do is stick a small spoiler on the rear and the sport badge. It’s the reason I went with a two toned Toyota Camry XSE V6. They wanted the same price and I got more out of the car 🤷♀️
Having bigger engine doesn't mean you get more :) Accord 2.0T is crushing even a TRD Camry, in a straight line and expecially in corners. Accords also have much better interior and infotainment/electronic features, along with driving dynamics.
@@vladimirtalijanthere’s no 2.0T accord anymore so what are you talking about? You can still get a 2023 TRD unlike the Honda.
Also the older gen accord infotainment was buggy. Even new vehicle had it go dark often.
So similar to the new civic. Too bad North America misses the hybrid civic.
Can you do ram 3500 big horn ?
Is this the same egine and hybrid system, which Honda puts into the 11th gen Civics in Europe? The so called Civic e:HEV?
I believe it is.
So jealous of US prices. $38K gets us a Jazz here in the Netherlands...
In Saudi $ USD 49k 😢
when are you doing a review on the new dodge demon
