    Great video Austin,
I appreciate you showing us this mistake from this person. I seen him last week when I was going through Facebook I thought the same thing and won’t be doing any Galvalum roofs anytime soon and probably never thanks for sharing brother. Doing my first metal roof with rust removal this week. I’m feeling good about it. Fully insured. Consulted with my local pressure washing store and my chemical distributor. Going to start with a spot treatment and begin with a 1% mix. Then I’m using F9 Efflo and F9 Barc for the rust removal.

@@DeltaThreeOne It didn't go. I showed up to the property and the roof was an insurance claim waiting to happen. It was a 100+ year old roof covered in a crust of rust and beat to hell. The homeowner's insurance company said they wouldn't renew the homeowner's policy unless they got it cleaned. It was very obvious the insurance company just didn't want to pay for a new roof. Whoever cleans that thing is going to have the damage blamed on them. I apologized to the homeowner and said I would not be able to complete the work.

It happens and it successfully. It can be fixed with clensol bc . The issue is Flash Oxidstion. Don't give up. You can get that black off and save the roof. I have done this while removing oxidation on a roof. You have to keep the metel roof wet all the time. Do kot let it dry. Pay a guy to just keep water running on the roof. Hope this helps.

Recently did my first roofwash and it was a metal roof with a large galvalum carport. When i heard they sprayed 3% on a metal roof then left it, i thought it was a joke. Then they said galvalum, 😮. Rinse rinse is key with a metal roof. Rinse before to cool it off, then rinse after to dilute the bleach after its done. I sprayed away from the galvalum always, and rinsed it even if i thought it was good anyways. Not playing with buying a new roof.

2% is still to hot a mix in my opinion. I do all the pre-wetting of the metal, then do a spot test in a very out of site spot and work my way to nothing more than a 1% with very short dwell times and heavy rinse times. Oh and the price is 3x what a painted roof cleaning is because of all the risk.

I have been in the cleaning business for over 30 years. Always own up to your screw ups. It will happen. Accidents happen, employees get in a rush or under trained. Just acts if god and misfortune.
Please be careful when cleaning around your customers neighbors. Spraying cleaning solutions on neighbors home, cars, their pets, you name it. I used NO chemicals I only used a 12 inch I call it a deck spinner but it’s usually used on concrete I did turn my pressure down on my power washer the roof was not step you could walk on it easy and both the metal and the flat roof came out like brand new I did not have any issues and got paid.
But some of these roof are 2 step to walk and you would have to figure out a way to clean them maybe best to skip that roof

First, ALWAYS rinse first to cool down, then do a test spot in a low/visibility area. This should be standard practice on any surface. On metal roofs or siding, I’d honestly just use dragon juice and skip the sh. But if you insist on sh, use a mix at 3% or less (start at like 1.5% and work up to 3 IF NEEDED), rinse with water, apply chemical, rinse repeat until done. Never let it dry..

I mean you guys are saying you feel sorry for the guy, I feel sorry for the client. What if he has no insurance (which is probably likely). That church is screwed.
