The main problem with these types of neighbors is that - after doing your job - they'll be seen by others as dirty ones who don't invest money to make their roofs clean. And that drives them crazy.
I always thought you shouldn’t clean roofs, they are probably concerned their tiles might be damaged or dislodged and the felt the same, also the mess it will cause to their property. I presume the home owner warned them and any damage or mess to their property would be carried out for free.
This often stressed office worker found this video incredibly relaxing. This is better than therapy. You are doing the world a service with these jet washing videos 😌

not watched you before, im a self employed roofer, have to say you worked bl00dy hard. you didnt stop. dont let the neighbours get to you - you can only be so nice then thats it - they can jog on!!!! - great job!!
I've had complaints about the tools making too much noise, water spashing on cars, can't get the baby to sleep etc. I always try to let the neighbours know I'm doing work, but some people just like to have a row. A great transformation on the roof.
always look up the legal noise level at certain hours of the day (to have in defence for your sake, theres literally no defence against that) its usually between 7 in for morning to about 10 at night its almost unrestricted because of potential work being done or just that people are awake during those hours.
These are the same neighbors who can have any work THEY want done..without a backward glance at you. I have a neighbor who told the workmen to park on my driveway and block me in. But the rest of the block can’t park in front of her house. .. ever. You were patient and kind.
first day in my last house my neighbor came around to tell me where I couldn't park my own car on my own drive, two bungalows with seperate drives and entrances, we ignored her so she came around again a week later and got told to do one. I moved away two years later and the new owner moved in and put a shipping container and a work van on the drive-I would of paid money to see her reaction to that.
I hate that you have to deal with such entitled people. I think the neighbor was just looking at how great of a job you were doing and felt jealous that his was not as nice. Great job as always Nick!
What I don’t get: is having seen a job done well, efficiently and with care Why would not get the man’s number so you KNOW what your getting when you get them back for yours!
Had my roof cleaned a few years back. Same thing happened, my neighbour kicked-off over a tiny bit of mess on her side, when their 'garden' is totally (and I mean TOTALLY) overgrown. Makes you even more determined to keep your own property looking good in the hope of shaming them into doing something about their own. Great job.
That’s just not neighbourly, this weekend my neighbour came over with a sprayer and chainsaw and helped me clear half my yard, he said “and I don’t want anything, if you can’t help your neighbour there’s something wrong with you” he’s a legend! I bought him his favourite drink, if you can buy a drink for your legend neighbour there’s something wrong with you lol! Amazing job!
No-one seems to be mentioning your straight lines on the roof! I am majorly impressed how you managed it. 10 out of 10 for dealing with the buffoon next door. 11 out of 10 far those lines...I'll say it again.....so damn straight!
I am SO IMPRESSED! Really, operating a 20’ (?) long high pressure wand in wind with near-pinpoint accuracy - you must have the arms of Hercules! Beautiful job all around. A few notes … 1. It looks like dealing with a hostile public might be half the job! Kudos for handling both neighbors with such grace. Most of us would probably just escalate the delicate situations. 2. I hope you’re using non-conductive (preferably fiberglass) high-gauge ladders in your work. I bought a 14’ (28’ extended) aluminum ladder shortly after I bought my home, to do my own roofwork and window cleaning. When I went to use it, I was shocked how much it flexed just under my body weight (130 lbs)! When I tried to donate it to my painting contractor, he said, “thank you but no,” for those reasons. Between working with water, around utilities, and at such high elevations, your safety is paramount. Further, were I your mother, I’d make you wear a helmet. 😉 3. I’m curious how exterior home maintenance works for attached homes in the UK. It looked like the entire roof was continuously shingled, yet each unit is responsible for their piece’s maintenance after that? Would some sort of roof tile/shingle masking tape make the delineation between the subject property and the neighbors help?
The helmet remark reminded me of one of my bosses many many years ago. Our highest building was 200ft tall with a 30x30 ft flat roof and a 3 foot wall around it. Whilst working up there fitting lights on top of the wall the boss came and started ranting about not wearing a helmet. I just looked up into the sky, laughed and carried on.
To be honest, you have taken steps to make sure your mess is tidy. You have approached the neighbors where in NZ they just get on with work. Your work is good, your ethic is great and your respect should be respected in return. Great work bro 🤙🏽 from NZ 🇳🇿

If he's worried about that puddle, what's he like when it rains or snows? Also, nice outcome on the roof. I bet you won't be in a rush to return if the attached neighbour wants their roof doing to match.
Awesome job mate, well done ! I come across neighbours in my job as a gardener who can be as nasty. I'm an Englishman living in Australia, whilst servicing a property last week, 2 or 3 leaves blew onto a man's property across the road, he came out and verbally abused me, I went across to say sorry and remove the leaves, to which he replied after he heard my accent that I didn't belong in his country, and he would beat the crap out of me, plus a lot of other expletives. I guess some people are just plain nasty and have nothing better to do or are angry with everyone else because of their own problems. Keep up the good work mate, and ignore the haters, roof looks amazing!!!
Stumbled onto to this video, so glad I did. Hypnotic to watch, so relaxing and what a nice, honest man you are. The best therapy for my latest heart attack. I have subscribed and will be watching more.
A pride to your profession, an amazing job well executed and a credit to the trade, so total respect from me. As for the neighbour.....absolutely shocking, a disgrace to to community.
This job creates a massive aerosol of crap that goes everywhere. A bit of notice, rather than telling his semi-detached neighbour as it was about to happen, might have avoided all this.
Sometimes neighbors don't understand that allowing you to do your job will only raise value in the neighborhood. Overall it's only a small inconvenience to them. You taking the high road and staying calm speaks volumes...and maybe could lead to a call from one of them to go ahead and do their roof down the road. Nice work and great job showing us the before, after, and details in the middle!
First video I found of your very nice professional work. Your patience and tolerance of the neighbors is to be commended. Will love to see more of your work now that I am subscribed.👍

im surprised you dont have a little wheel or such at the end to make it easier on you and to control. Like off the front of a shopping cart (I think you call them a trolley?). All the stuff from the roof might make for good fertilizer, ever tried and then if it is then you could sell it
Well, a challenging job to say the least! That neighbour! Very frustrating for you Nick, but brilliant outcome. You navigated the tight quarters to get your items to the back, the neighbour, the straight lines on the roof, very very well. Here is to a good week ahead.

Totally respect tradesman like Nick from Prestige Cleaning, for the undeniable results they produce and professionalism when dealing with members of the public. That neighbour wearing a skirt designed for a hotter climate, was most likely scared of the " magical " long black snake spitting water onto the roof and was worried it might come and drown & then eat him and his family. I work for a large construction company refurbishing social housing in central London, for the past 13yrs, and as part of the management team dealing with the public daily I have come to the conclusion 85% of the public are psychotic/mental most of the time, and even worse after Lockdown.
Very kind of you to replace cracked tiles as well as doing a mighty job on the roof. Sometimes people amaze me with their selfish, ignorant behaviour. How does he cope when it rains? He must go totally nuts.
That looks like bloody hard work. Your lines were impeccable and you did a beautiful job. If I was the neighbour, I would be asking how soon you could come back to clean my roof.
The thing that struck me is your honesty. The customer would never have known about the cracked tile, but you still owned up to it and had it replaced. Incredible service.
@georgemay3196 It's really not that deep. Besides, surely that's even better? He's replacing a tile that he didn't even crack, they're paying him to clean, not repair, so he's still doing it on his own choice.
Mount a small rubber caster wheel to the end of your lance and it’s easier to control. You can fit them to give you the correct height for your washer to be effective at long distances :)
I was thinking the similar .. a small metal frame that can be attached near the end with a couple of wheels, maybe even inflatable tires about six inches to navigate the bumps.
@@NecramoniumVideoTwo Soft low pressure tyres would would do no damage, very little weight would be involved, high water pressure can be quite forcefull and damaging, hard casters would be a different matter regards damaging the tiles!

The main problem with these types of neighbors is that - after doing your job - they'll be seen by others as dirty ones who don't invest money to make their roofs clean. And that drives them crazy.
And who does he complain to when it rains?
Don't invest much in their gardens, either, by the looks of it.
I always thought you shouldn’t clean roofs, they are probably concerned their tiles might be damaged or dislodged and the felt the same, also the mess it will cause to their property. I presume the home owner warned them and any damage or mess to their property would be carried out for free.
the trans with the skirt on is probley a pedo and tell him where he came from the desert that water is good stuf.
That is low life reaction...they feel offended by the normal people existence...😂
Thank god I'm not the only one who thought the neighbours are pissed cause now their roof looks dirty in comparison. Great job man!
Glad you’re able to keep your cool. Nice job on roof. Feel sorry for customer who has to put up with this neighbor.

You stayed calm, mate. You did a great job. Some people have nothing better to do. Well done, fella.😉

Pmsl 🤣 spot on there fella 🙌🙌
I've had complaints about the tools making too much noise, water spashing on cars, can't get the baby to sleep etc.
I always try to let the neighbours know I'm doing work, but some people just like to have a row.
A great transformation on the roof.
Tell em ....move to the country side if you dont like it.
High density living creates angry ENTITLED people....
always look up the legal noise level at certain hours of the day (to have in defence for your sake, theres literally no defence against that) its usually between 7 in for morning to about 10 at night its almost unrestricted because of potential work being done or just that people are awake during those hours.
None of that is your problem. Fuck the neighbours. They'd they'll be creating the same noise when they need work doing.
OK for road workers to start digging holes at 8am 😂 one rule for one ect 😊@@eriksimca9409
That is the straightest line I’ve ever seen. No brag, just fact. 👍🏻
I think that both neighbors were salty that your customer’s roof was looking sooooo much better than theirs 😂😂. Great job.
Many thanks Molly 🙏
Green eyed monsters either side 😬
I hate that you have to deal with such entitled people. I think the neighbor was just looking at how great of a job you were doing and felt jealous that his was not as nice. Great job as always Nick!
What I don’t get: is having seen a job done well, efficiently and with care
Why would not get the man’s number so you KNOW what your getting when you get them back for yours!
Why did I find this so therapeutic? I used to do similar work in a previous life. Must be the nostalgia. Great work
Quite the study in humanity there Nick. I did notice the roof was smiling at the end 😉.
Great job.
Lazy is as lazy does 😂
@@Hummingbird108💯 Well, their mouth isn't lazy..🤦♀️🤣
Messy neighbours have no shame.
A grand job indeed ! A hard working bloke doing an essential job to protect the house. Thanks a lot and well done.
I am SO IMPRESSED! Really, operating a 20’ (?) long high pressure wand in wind with near-pinpoint accuracy - you must have the arms of Hercules! Beautiful job all around. A few notes …
@@royboy6890 OMG - at 200’, only a 10’ diameter of bubble wrap and a prayer could have hoped to save you!

If he's worried about that puddle, what's he like when it rains or snows? Also, nice outcome on the roof. I bet you won't be in a rush to return if the attached neighbour wants their roof doing to match.

What a nasty mess - Finished job looks great and you handled the neighbor without losing your cool. Awesome job!
I like your scaffolding, the way you setup and breakdown into a efficient way.
Congratulations on your patience, persistence, and a beautiful clean!! Well done!!
Id call the police on the ignorant wretch !!!
You beat me to it just call the next Karen an arsehole😂

Grouches like these usually want to die in these homes and don't care what the value is.
Great work. Some people are never happy unless they are giving others grief.
You held it together perfectly. 18:06 "i don't know why people are like this" i've battled with this very thing this for years, I hear you bud.

im surprised you dont have a little wheel or such at the end to make it easier on you and to control. Like off the front of a shopping cart (I think you call them a trolley?). All the stuff from the roof might make for good fertilizer, ever tried and then if it is then you could sell it

I was thinking the similar .. a small metal frame that can be attached near the end with a couple of wheels, maybe even inflatable tires about six inches to navigate the bumps.
It could possibly damage some of the tiles, seeing even one already got damaged from the water pressure.
@@NecramoniumVideoTwo Soft low pressure tyres would would do no damage, very little weight would be involved, high water pressure can be quite forcefull and damaging, hard casters would be a different matter regards damaging the tiles!
