Does the neck feel cramped too you?

@@matteo-nf1kv For me it doesn't, only difference is when sliding up the neck it ends earlier, sounds obvious but it's different.

Nice demo, but when demonstrating the difference between the 12 fret and the 14 fret guitars, it would have been better to have played the same tune as you did when demonstrating the difference between the first two guitars in this demo, I.e. the 812 and 814 14 fret models. In other words, when demonstrating the 12 fret it would have been better to play more of the entire neck, not just up the neck all-treble sounds. I was wanting to hear the capabilities of the low end on the 12 fret. Small bodied guitars tend to have no low end, but 12 fret small body guitars have more low end and a sweeter tone than 14 fret small body guitars.

How are the 912ce BE (14 fret) and the 812CE 12 fret? Is the 812CE 12 fret too crowded from the 7th fret? Also, do their necks feel the same? Thank you.

What is the finger style piece that Kenny is playing around 1:10? Very nice

Not a fan of 12-fret models and this video shows why. They always sound a bit muddy because your picking hand is playing further from the bridge and more toward the neck.

@@matteo-nf1kv I ended up buying a 812ce 12 fret deluxe. X brace with relief routing....and I love it! I really did a lot of research on x vs v brace.either one is awesome, I just preferred the depth of the x brace. Also guitar center only had 3 in stock through the USA. I got it for $3500.00 with case...bran new

Excellent video and comparison. My question is why Taylor chose to have completely different headstocks? Would this change the tone at all?

It’s to quickly differentiate the two and give homage to classic parlor guitars - no difference in tone or functionality whatsoever.

Those were not both 312's were they? Looks like the 12 fret was a higher end instrument.
