i know this video is old. but incase you still have this laptop, the pch on it is not integrated on the cpu it is actually on the motherboard next to the battery connector, that second chip is the dram cache, in your dgpu model it acts as a overflow cache and needs active cooling and will get hot enough to throttle itself, so you may have noticed issues with file transfers or boot up issues, if you still have this laptop i would recommend that you install some LM on it.
Do you use the laptops that you applied liquid metal daily? Do you carry them around? I'm thinking about to try the process in my Dell notebook, but I put it in my bag pack and go to work everyday, I am concerned about the liguid metal spreading.
There is a previous video on this topic where I tried to address every possible concern about liquid metal. Watch it carefully, it should answer your question. ua-cam.com/video/nW8xm8-CuwE/v-deo.html
@@angrylee I actually watched that video before asking the question, the video is very good and really good advice. I agree with you in the mentality of "if there is nothing to splash, it will not splash", but I am trying to collect experiences similar to my use case. Thanks for the answer.
Liquid Metal in Long Term

Wow I was literally wondering if I could do this for this specific model and decided to search UA-cam and was surprised to see this posted!

A bit of scratching on heatsink sounds nice, something I would follow.
thanks for the content)
I wonder why you didn't use the time to also apply it to the GPU
But I did apply it to both CPU and GPU, though...
