I was just thinking last night that I hadn't watched a video form you in a little while, and now this popped up in my list and see I've missed 3 previous videos. I guess I know what I'm doing after work tonight!
Heh, I also slowed down a little over the hottest/buggiest part of the summer, so the episodes were more spread out. But I'm hoping to get down a lot over the winter this year. Lots more to do! Thanks very much for watching!
You must have maxed out forearm endurance because manually screwing in all those screws is impressive. I replaced a few door hinges the other day and my grip strength was shot after a few haha
Wow, pretty impressive imo. Just kinda getting interested in some masonry too, for a fireplace. Any chance you could list the various materials you used in video? I’m newer than you are! Lol Subbed and interested in following along. Thanks for your efforts in sharing your videos.
Sure thing, this is my first time doing anything like this! I had a bag of cement mixed with rocks that I used on the base just to get rid of it. I'm using mortar on the rocks and filling the middle with gravel and all purpose sand. Each "row" of rocks took 1 bag of mortar and 2 bags of sand.
@@WoodlyDad Oh, thanks kindly. Unbelievable how many bags for each row! You did great. Have fun and enjoy on the rest of it. Hope you post as it goes on. ATB
Hello. You are building a cozy house. The skylights are great, I also made a window in my log house
Thanks, it's nice to look up at the stars from bed!
Your skylight lets in a bunch of light, eh? Awesome!

@@WoodlyDad All caught up now, looking forward to seeing the hearth build! Loved the skylights too.

Heh, it's better than hammering 8" spikes into logs, so I'll take it!
@@WoodlyDad can't wait to see how the fireplace fully Integrates when finished.
❤❤❤
