Caribbean Christmas Concert 2024
Caribbean Christmas Concert in memory of Dr Geraldine Roxanne Connor who created the Carnival Messiah and was a cultural icon as was her father, Edric Connor. The concert was hosted by renown Trinidadian Opera Singer, Anne Fridal.
The concert was held at the All Saints Church, Clydesdale Road, Notting hill, London W11 on Sunday 1st December 2024. Ansel Wong CBE was the MC on the evening with DJ Piper in command of the sound systems. Special guests on the evening included Waiyin Lee, Ed Mirza, Faye Clinton, Justin ‘Redz’ Richardson, Giselle Padmore and son, Johnathon Bryan, Greg Assing and Asha Keys.
Anne also included a celebration of the Fab 4 Ladies of Pan where Debi Gardner, Debra ‘Pan Diva’ Eden, Carlene ‘Sweet Wrists’ Etienne and Dephina ‘Panness’ James were honoured with celebratory plaques and gifts.
Anne encouraged members of the audience to join her on stage to sing, The Virgin Mary had a Baby boy, which was certainly a welcomed treat. Everyone is now looking forward to Anne’s 2025 Mothers’ Day Concert where the Fab 4 Ladies will perform. Watch this space!
