Colin is just so wonderful and I won't hear a word against him! His Doctor really found his feet in Season 23, and he was let go way too soon! This theme is so underrated too, there's something about it that's so eerie and mysterious - I just adore it.
It's used to denote episodes set in the Trial era, but they've done some with the Howell theme that fit earlier in his run. Same as the Eighth Doctor's multiple themes signposting the era.
And there’s a variation where Captain Jack’s theme is run through the same synth style, used for the Lives of Captain Jack story Piece of Mind (which guest stars Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor).
The most uncanny and unnerving theme of them all... those ghostly synthesizer wails (that whole section) at 0:24 are haunting. And haunting is so perfect for a series in which the Doctor's past comes back to exert its wrath.
Really reminds me of the possibility that back when they were making the 6th Doctor’s Era, the idea that they would’ve explored an arc where 6 was keeping a secret and that we could’ve seen a darker version of the Doctor with 6 really match the haunting wailing of this theme. It’s more mysterious than heroic and I think that’s what sells it
@@whovianmaverick6348 Or possibly Collin was never given a chance to make that decision happen, and he was let go too soon before that was fully realized. 2:10 Colin Baker: Yay! Me:Why is he happy?!
0:24 this beat is so nostalgic
Colin Baker was my first Dr Who and my fave as a result. I liked that he was a bit more of a man of action and kind of snarky. He was shafted by the BBC but his audio adventures are great.
ALL THE COLOURS IN HD
Colin is underrated I don’t care what you say
One of my favourite doctor who themes
I do think this has the most fun middle eight
The Doctor can still stand on his own, even when on trial.
Colin baker wad a great doctor who and it's a shame how he was treated by the BBC. However he is a legend among the fans. My doctor is Sylvester mcoy however Colin baker is 2nd in my list. The classic series is the greatest ever!!!!!
One of my favorite Doctor Who themes :)
Gives me goosebumps
This is incredible
the best tune of them all
Ugh, it's so atmospheric. I can totally see myself as a kid watching this late at night having that nagging sense of unease but calmness.
Colin baker ...worst doctor ?? No way. Season 22 is fantastic and 23 Is great despite the ultimate foe being weak it was solid. This theme is fantastic. He was a brilliant doctor. Underrated doctor .he made 2 seasons which are in my top 10 seasons of all time
This reminds me of a question left unanwsered. How did they made the third/fourth doctor and the fith/sixth doctor intro.
This is the best ever Dr Who theme bar none. It has a darker much more sci-fi tone to it and those bass notes are amazing.
Colin smile makes my day
6 will always be my Doctor.
Colin is definitely the best doctor
Sixth Doctor companions: Adric of Alzarius and Nyssa of Traken, Tegan Jovanka and Peri Brown, Mel Bush and Ace McShane
Oh, how I would love to meet Colin!
My favorite
A bit late but Colin, we love you

I really wish there was a full version of this specific theme.
