I totally tripped over my thoughts with that. I am so sorry about that! You are so very right with the 0-60. I think it would be a good run between the Mustang EcoBoost with the 10 speed.

Thanks for reviewing the RS v6 instead of just the run of the mil SS review! So I owned a 17 2lt 2.0 and hated having it on a Camero just because it doesn't feel like it belongs in that car. It was pretty quick and prob no much slower on a 0-60 but the sound is better on the V6 for sure and thinking the power delivery would be more consistent than that 2.0. One thing when I owned mine is the lost opportunity of not having a cut out on center of the dash to hold key's, Wallet, phone etc. That would have been smart b/c that dash is cheap and slippery too. Im so glad they put leather material on the side panels where your knee hits against... that cheap plastic surface was horrible. I think the V6 might be the right choice especially after the nose job on the SS!
great presentation, Joe. I think you'll find that not only chevy, but several other car manufacturers are going to that hard dashboard for a reason. The softer vinyl or leather top tend to crack over the years, unless really cared for, due to the sun damaging it. That's a nice looking car, and I've always been a V-8 man myself, but after watching the video and how fast this 6 banger takes off, I might have to reconsider. You'd make a great car salesman Joe. To be honest, why do car reviews always point out hard plastic in places it makes complete sense, like the top of the dash? As long as it looks good, what’s the big deal? No one touches these spots other than on initial view... Again, as long as it looks good, why is it bad for an OEM to save cost and weight?

I wasn't aware the V6 kept the 8-speed auto though, so that was interesting! I'd love to see Ford bring back a V6 (perhaps the 400hp/400lb ft 3 litre twin turbo from Lincoln)..........just so long as a normally aspirated V8 is still available. Anyway, really enjoyed this one, thanks Joe :)
I picked up a 2019 RS 3LT convertible last month. I love the new front grill and rear lights. The car is total fun to drive and I was impressed with the quality and leather. The 3lt has blind spot and backup camera so back visabilty is not an issue. The mustang convertible has no metal cover for the roof when folded so you see the canvas and arms when the roof is down. For my unpopular opinion, the body really hasn't altered drastically from the 2010 comeback body. The newer ones just have more refined, sleeker body panels and a sharper front end but overall still shows of the same overall body style.
Great vehicle. We have a 2021 Wild Cherry RS V6. Blind spots yes however if you know how to drive properly there is absolutely no issue. Great review !!!
I think they’ve done all they can with this body style. It’s basically a modern version of the first generation. I would love to see them do a modern version of the lower, sleeker second gen Camaro!
Not a V8 but will smoke fox body 5.0 or the 4.6 modulers As fast as a 2002 SS camaro or the 300 hp vets. My 18 RS will do 13.6 at 105 mph in the 1/4. Thats as fast as any mussel car from back in the day. Faster than irocs or Z28’s most of them anyway. Its a really fast V6 is what it is not as fast as today’s v8’s but as fast or faster than yesteryear’s. To bad the price has gone up bought my 18 RS in 18 with 3000 miles for $25000. Like u mentioned great fuel mileage 20 average over 30 highway. My wife drives ours daily in winter here in upstate NY its a awesome fun car. I might by another one twin turbo it be a great fun affordable hot rod. Have turbos already was going to put on ours but after 5 winters idk if ill keep or not. Good video Thanks.
I purchased a 2019 Camaro rs and i love the car...but i wanted to know if theres a way you can use the gps on the screen without useing a wire connecting to your phone?i want to use it wirelessly
I just bought a 2019 R/S package. Was wondering the same question as Juan. Was told it has built in GPS on the screen. Haven't been able to figure it out.
Yes I have the 2019 3.6l non-rs and did alot of research on this. An sd card with the maps and flash for the software is available IF you have the 8 inch screen. The sd card slot in the armrest (under USB ports) is what it is meant to be uploaded with. It costs around 200.00
I love reading comments about the Camaro😂 my respect for the car has gone up actually since I was younger. I guess for others it’s not the same, but there are a few things I would change of course, because no car is perfect. Also I see a lot of things about the car’s visibility, and I’m not bragging, I’ve just been more fortunate than others in the fact I’ve sat in high end low slung exotic cars, and I’ve seen REALLY low visibility before, so cars like the newer Camaro I’ve learned to deal with their visibility better. What a great video though dude👍🏼 I enjoy a lot of the videos about the 2019s and so far I think this is the best ones I’ve seen. 😁😁😁
That V6 would look even better with an Overkill supercharger on it. The 2019 RS restyling looks nice in this color, in particular around back. Good review
@@michaelv2931 Mine was a factory order, so not like I could negotiate that much really. And a looooong covid wait last summer! $45K Cdn for a 3LT RS with lots of goodies. But I saw the exact same car with an automatic a couple weeks ago -- $7K more -- things have gone way up in price from last fall! Great experience, good dealership, awesome car. Good luck!
In the CORRECT COLOR I think the SS 1LE is absolutely gorgeous and more aggressive looking. As far as the RS I love the placement of the bow tie on the grill... this is growing on me 👍🏻
OOF! 40 grand for a V6 RS is kinda steep if you ask me That same amount will prob get you the base Mustang GT V8 or the GT Prem which is 39 grand and some pocket change back. Styling wise for the exterior, the Camaro LS/LT looks bulky and plain looking to me. The SS is the most horrible looking children of the bunch. No pun intended. I feel that the 1LE Track package just like the Ford Performance Pack gives the plain Jane Camaro an aggressive look. And it includes the bigger brake calipers from Brembo, performance suspension, upgraded cooling, LSD and black out hood and a nice factory front splitter. I tried to match the Camaro turbo 4 banger with the Ecoboost Mustang with all the bell and whistle similar to what both could offer. The Mustang Ecoboost Performance Pack 6 speed manual fully loaded with goodies comes at around $42,755. The Camaro 2LT 1LE Track pack oddly even with all the possible options comes around $38,845. Point to Chevy for pricing. Thou 2 points have to be given to Ford for having Magnaride and Active exhaust on the Ecoboost, while one point is given to Chevy for giving the option of the Brembo 6 pot big brake kit. Gauge cluster, IMO Ford takes the win here with the 12 inch full LCD. And I find the center console LCD on the Camaro looked like a Android tablet that is glued on to the dashboard to me. Chevy was trying to borrow the style of air vents similar to the AMG GT but failed to give it a nice airplane feel to it. I am wondering why is there a light bar on the cup holder. I don't need a light to see where i put my sippy cup. Ford gives you the option to have the 10 speed auto even on the 4 banger is another point to Ford. The Camaro 1LE Track package has only a 6 speed manual option. Otherwise, both have decent Premium sound system options, Bose for the Camaro and B&O for the Mustang. And both can be fitted with Recaros seats. I watched another UA-cam channel where one guy traded his Camaro for a Golf GTi. His main complain for the car is the hefty insurance premium and financing since its a Muscle car. And the boot and rear legroom is terrible. It prob down to individual taste and brand preferences. You can't have best of both worlds and you do have to make sacrifices if you decide to buy any brand. Great video And thank you Tom.
I love the camaro platform. Especially seeing mustang and camaro both in person. Camaro has its downs but has a higher quality set up. Which to me is more important. And the SS in hyper blue looks amazing in person I think along with the mosaic black rims
V6 2LT you get leather on top of door and knee pads with NAV, light package and memory seats, no change from 16-18, What's the color name? Looks darker than Riverside Blue, but overcast day.
i bought a 22 camaro ss 6m trans, traded it for a 22 2lt RS 3.6 10A. i much happier with the v6 than the v8 i think the V6 is more responsive , plus a quicker throttle responce, and 10k less money.
Imo the 1LE package, while great, is a waste unless you live in an area with perfect roads and plan to track it very often. $4,500 is a LOT of money. If you plan to daily drive this, get a base V6 with a stick. Maybe the 2LT for heated+cooled leather seats/extras. RS package looks nice but is $2k and is purely aesthetic, minus the upgrade from 18” to 20” wheels, which is not a good thing btw. Pro tip, go with smaller wheels and bigger sidewall tires. Car handles better, is significantly more comfortable, tires are way cheaper, and car will be slightly faster due to lighter rims. A 2LT manual with v6 rings in at $29.5k, and that is before any haggling. $27k our the door is common on these, which is bananas. You get a well optioned dedicated sports coupe for the price of a fully loaded corolla. Love the 2019 looks, personally.
Hey Joe!! Great review!! I am jealous of the weather in Florida!! Here in Idaho It was -13 degrees F this morning!! Happy new year my friend!! God bless!!
Happy New Year bud! That is super cold! At least I can share some of the great weather with you in this review! I hope you have a very blessed new year!
Is the 8 inch screen there really a larger display than the 6 inch? Or it is just more glass and less plastic? I’m trying to decide how much to worry about it for when I do finally get one.
@15:35 the driving/view impression is that of an old c4 vette. That was exactly the same comment I had driving the 6th gen Camaro. But I think the 6th gen is a huge win. I realize Mustang is outselling but the Camaro has great looks and phenomenal handling capability. The interior suits me just fine.
At 6:45 you're quoting the hp and torque of the 2.0 L turbo numbers unless the V6 is producing less in this trim. I've seen videos with it being 335 hp, 284 torque.
Great review very thorough in my opinion and ( got yourself a new subscriber ) your right about the RS BADGES they should replace the bowtie especially for the $$. better brakes would be nice as well but $40k for a V6 PASS!!!
Thank you so much for the compliment and I am very grateful you are joining this journey with me! I totally understand where you are coming from with your points!
Thnx Joe. Really great review - very informative. Nice car - sounds surprisingly good for a six. Having said that - I’d only be happy if it had the V8. I took this gen Camaro for a test drive when it was introduced. The limited visibility was an obvious issue. I’m guessing it’s something that would become less of an issue after some seat time. Look forward to your video on the SS
Outstanding review!! Nailed it once again Joe. I think this is a very interesting option. Not a bad msrp and it looks pretty good. A little desapointing at 275 hp but it definitely gets the job done. I really can't complain at 40k. What I like the most is that there is no Chevrolet logo in the steering wheel, instead you get the word camaro, that to me that shows they did put some effort in the interior details. I know it's probably not a big deal but to me it is. I truly dislike the Chevy logo on the steering wheel.
Thank Jorge for your compliment and great input! I totally tripped over my thoughts on the horsepower numbers! The V6 has 335 HPI I'm really sorry about that! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspectives!
@@RaitisRides that makes more sense. I buy this before an ecoboost. I buy a 5.0 before buying this but camaro also has a V8. I think it's just a matter of what a costumer would find more attractive. Both V8s can be supercharged and turn into beast mode so, honestly not a bad year for the camaro I think. But I'm more of a mustang fan than a camaro fan...except when it comes to the Z28 from the 80s and early 90s, that is a car I love as much as any mustang.
RAITI'S, EVER SINCE I SAW U TALKING ABOUT CAMAROS I WAS IN THE MARKET FOR A MUSTANG AND WHEN I SAW THAT CAMARO AND U SHOW THE POWER ON THAT CAR, I END UP BUYING MY CAMARO 2019 1LT AND LET ME SAY THE CAR HAVE POWER FOR A V6 335 HP. IT MAY NOT ALL THE BELLS N WHISTLES BUT I'M HAPPY WITH IT, IN WERE THE MUSTANG IS MORE MONEY FOR LITTLE EQUIPMENT N THE CAMARO LESS MONEY N MORE EQUIPMENT. THANK U FOR THAT TIP. I LOVE MY CAMARO. GOD BLESS YOU
Very much considering purchasing this car later this year. I'm too poor for the SS model. It's almost 10K more, plus extra insurance & extra gas. Can't do it. It's going to be my all year daily driver, so the lower V6 cost will be great. Something else to consider is not only does the V6 get better gas mileage, it also takes 87 octane. That's pretty rare for a performance car, and a nice benefit for those of us wanting good performance on a budget. I'm debating between this, Ecoboost Mustang and WRX. I live in a region which does get snow and has a good amount of hills, so the WRX would be the 'safe' choice. However I think I'll be able to manage with a RWD car on snow tires and extra weight (sandbags) in the trunk for added traction. If I do go with the V6 Camaro, I'm going to skip the RS package. Honestly doesn't seem worth it. The 20in wheels don't appeal to me that much, and I'm kinda meh on the headlights. I'll be buying aftermarket wheels when I get the snow tires anyway.
@@AA-BB Bro it's more than just the initial cost of the SS. Everything is more expensive. Gas, tires, insurance. If it was just a higher base price only then yeah I would swing for it, but those other costs are more than I'm willing to spend. Also, I'm coming from a life of base Honda Civics and 4 cyl family sedans. A V6 Camaro is going to be faster than anything I've ever owned haha.
I daily drive a V6 2012 camaro. It’s Great, I’m a teenager so it’s perfect for me. Insurance isn’t crazy and gas is manageable. Also the girls love it (; only people that are gonna worry about the engine are guys. Great thing is... you can still have a lot of fun in the car. The V6 pulls a lot. But isn’t the new one a 4 cyl with turbo?
Great Vid. Again . It’s a plus when you add a driving experience to your vids. I’ve been researching Camaro’s for a Year & I’m getting one .... at some point. Mine Must be a 2SS , if it looked like that RS I’d like it a lot more. I’ve been thinking of getting a 2017 2SS to save money, but I’ll be Looking at the next 2SS refresh.
Thank you Bob for taking the time to say that! That is really good that you are doing your research and taking your time. I think you have a great plan in place! Thanks for watching!
Brother you took the words out of my mouth on the bowtie. Although the black is an improvement, I wish they'd remove all Chevy emblems and replace with "Camaro" or "SS" or "RS." Note it only says Ford in one small place (top of windshield) where you can't even see it on my GT350 and on regular GT's. Smart move.
There's no doubt that the RS seems to get higher visual marks than the SS but we think the front fascia is a big improvement. Some fans don't like it at all - but hey - we're biased!
I'd be interested to see the 4 cylinder version - I think that, along with the Mustang ecoboost and the Jaguar F-Type 4 cylinder, would make interesting Autocross triplets.
Hey raitis!!!! Excellent content to start the New Years and like I said before I saved this to my watch later videos, but I already know it’s gonna be great!!! And if I know u and camaros lol imma count the number of times zonk is used lol...
Thank you so much for sharing the excitement! I actually wasn't too hard on this Camaro RS! I actually think the styling is better then on the SS. Thanks for your great support!
Just traded in my Gen 5. Camaro for a 2020 and got it about a week ago and this is an amazing car for the money. Only paid 30 grand out the door. Completely different car. It's lighter handled better more comfortable. And just an all-around fantastic car.
The problem is that you can get a V8 Mustang for $36k-$40k. Way more power and much better visibility and engine sound for the same price? Is there a big difference in the handling then?
@@RaitisRides The sunroof for starters! If I were in the market I would check out the Camaro, Mustang, AND the Challenger before deciding. Have to say, the Camaro in this video is pretty gorgeous. And I agree that the front on the RS is better looking than the SS, which is ridiculous. 2019 1/2 will probably fix this.
V6 is 335 hp and 284 pound feet of torque. With a manual it can do 0-60 in 5 seconds flat. ( that’s faster than a Challenger R/T and Ecoboost Mustang)
I totally tripped over my thoughts with that. I am so sorry about that! You are so very right with the 0-60. I think it would be a good run between the Mustang EcoBoost with the 10 speed.

Joe, you gave the HP and torque ratings for the 4cyl. in this video. s/b 335hp @6800rpm and 284 lb ft torque @ 5300rpm. I myself like the tail lights.
I totally tripped over my thoughts. I am so sorry about that! I appreciate you understanding!
A total hit when you see it in person is awesome, love your videos man great content greetings from Bolivia and happy new year
Happy New Year my friend! I really appreciate you watching and you are so right about seeing it in person. Thanks for your great support!
This guy quotes the V6 engine puts out 275 hp when in fact it is 335 hp and 284 ft pounds of torque.
I came from the future, this car became a BENCHMARK for the next gen 2020 Blazer
I liked the limited visibility, makes me feel like I’m drivin a TANK.
Cool!
I totally agree with you Tom on that!
I checked this out. I'm in the market for a used 6th gen Camaro. That V6 has great power. Nice sound too! Looks like it shifts at nearly 7,000 RPMs.
It was honestly just the grill, ever since they connected that middle piece together it’s looked fine to me
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Not a V8 but will smoke fox body 5.0 or the 4.6 modulers
As fast as a 2002 SS camaro or the 300 hp vets.
Good video
Thanks.
I purchased a 2019 Camaro rs and i love the car...but i wanted to know if theres a way you can use the gps on the screen without useing a wire connecting to your phone?i want to use it wirelessly
That is a great question! Thanks for sharing your experience!
That is really awesome of you to say Eric! Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
That V6 would look even better with an Overkill supercharger on it. The 2019 RS restyling looks nice in this color, in particular around back. Good review
Thank you for the compliment and I would love to see this car with a blower!
What color is this?
I have a 2021 RS V6 6 speed. Most fun I have ever had. Good review!
Hey bro I’m tryna get an RS too how much was it overall driving off the dealership ?
@@michaelv2931 Mine was a factory order, so not like I could negotiate that much really. And a looooong covid wait last summer! $45K Cdn for a 3LT RS with lots of goodies. But I saw the exact same car with an automatic a couple weeks ago -- $7K more -- things have gone way up in price from last fall! Great experience, good dealership, awesome car. Good luck!
I like Camaro's, I kind of wish Chevy would have done a Hide away Headlight option to pay homage to the 1967 RS/SS model.
That would of been amazing! Great suggestion!
Would my 72 year old mother have a difficult time getting in and out of this car?
Ricky Bobby: I'm not sure what to do with my hands.
Raiti: Hold my beer
I love it! Thanks for watching!
In the CORRECT COLOR I think the SS 1LE is absolutely gorgeous and more aggressive looking. As far as the RS I love the placement of the bow tie on the grill... this is growing on me 👍🏻
I totally agree with you!
OOF!
40 grand for a V6 RS is kinda steep if you ask me
That same amount will prob get you the base Mustang GT V8 or the GT Prem which is 39 grand and some pocket change back.
Great video
And thank you Tom.
You really hit the nail on the head in so many ways! Thanks for the great compliments and support!
@Leon Flames prob up to how much discount your dealer could give. I just look up the general MSRP via the Chevy website and configurator
@@linchester8464 Yeah, you sound like a Mustang Undercover Lover!!!
@Leon Flames that nice. Imagine paying under MSRP for the ZR1
@Leon Flames no worries cheers
Almost to 25k subs!! Glad to say Ive been here since day one!
I am so grateful for your support! Thank you for getting excited!
I love the camaro platform. Especially seeing mustang and camaro both in person. Camaro has its downs but has a higher quality set up. Which to me is more important. And the SS in hyper blue looks amazing in person I think along with the mosaic black rims
I am so glad tat you liked this one Ryan! Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective!
V6 2LT you get leather on top of door and knee pads with NAV, light package and memory seats, no change from 16-18, What's the color name? Looks darker than Riverside Blue, but overcast day.
It's called shadow gray metallic! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and ask questions!
Love my 2019 V6 Camaro. My last vehicle was a V8 Mustang and yes I took advantage of that GM rebate money.
i bought a 22 camaro ss 6m trans, traded it for a 22 2lt RS 3.6 10A. i much happier with the v6 than the v8 i think the V6 is more responsive , plus a quicker throttle responce, and 10k less money.
Interesting
Thank you so much for sharing your great input and thoughts! I really appreciate you taking the time to do that!
What color is this? The Shadow Gray Metallic?
I actually love the way the new tail lights look.
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Me too!!!
Thought it had 335 or something around there. Think that was the 4cyl turbo hp-tq you gave
Yes, he made a mistake v6 is 335hp
Yeah I totally tripped over my thoughts on that! I appreciate the info!
Yeah I totally tripped over my thoughts on that! I appreciate the info! Sorry about that!
Is the 8 inch screen there really a larger display than the 6 inch? Or it is just more glass and less plastic? I’m trying to decide how much to worry about it for when I do finally get one.
It's a full two inches larger of useable space! Thanks for watching!
Really starting to like the new Camaros. Great review!
Thank you David! Stay tuned for more!
Wow I like the look more than the v8! Real tempting!
Edit: After hearing the MSRP, more tempting when it's slightly used and half the price.
Thank you for sharing you input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Absolute facts, got the 6 because I like the look better
This will be my dream car!! Great job Joe.
The RS and SS was perfect the way it was. All it needed was T-tops.
@Trevon Adams yes exactly.
Maverick Mason; Oi Vey. You didn’t actually just say T-Tops with a straight face did you?
LOL T-tops
@@AA-BB All hail T-tops!
@@metaljew4456 I said T-tops with a straight mullet 😂
2010-13 and 2016-18 are the best camaros in my opinion
I think the RS looks fine. It's just the SS that looks odd.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
My only take away is that the seats don’t recline “further” back
Brembos are available in the "Heavy Duty Cooling and Braking" package that is an option.
Thank you for that extra info! I appreciate you watching!
At 6:45 you're quoting the hp and torque of the 2.0 L turbo numbers unless the V6 is producing less in this trim. I've seen videos with it being 335 hp, 284 torque.
Yeah I totally tripped over my thoughts on that! I appreciate the info! I'm really sorry about that!
I wish this camaro was cheaper than it is on the secondary market.....330 horsepower on regular gas? sign me up
You are so very welcome! I am totally in agreement with you! I can't wait to drive it and feel the difference!
I can totally understand where you are coming from!

@@RaitisRides your welcome
Do the 2019 V6 Camaros also have the A8 Shudder issues? Is it just the 2016-2018s?
I'll be buying aftermarket wheels when I get the snow tires anyway.
hold off a year and save for the SS or you’ll regret it
That is exactly what I would do!
You bring up some very great points! Thank you for sharing and for watching!
I'd much much rather the V8 and would never buy this car with a V6. That said, the V6 is no slouch.
Here's another national treasure(and Americana)The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro RS
That is a great way to put it!
RS = really slow, you are the only guy that would make me watch a Chevy car video. Even though you have so many amazing Ford videos

How does the RS look better than the SS?
Where the bow tie is placed.
I know I meant why did chevy make the RS better looking the SS
I prefer this styling to that of the SS. I still don't understand what the two tabs on the front of the SS are supposed to be.
I totally agree with you! I guess it's for aerodynamic purposes!
Watching this video just make's me like my new STI even more!
I totally agree with you Daniel!
Are you gonna trade yours in when Subaru updates their engine?
Probably not,it can only go down hill from here.I have a 2008 Z06 if I want to go crazy fast!
@@daniellocke9534 What do you mean it can only go downhill? Isn't it supposed to get an engine upgrade.
2020 is going to be interesting!
Smart move.
Great minds think a like! Thank you for sharing your input!
40 grand for a v6 camaro? Yikes
This one does have a ton of options. You do bring up some very good points!
It does look good though I got to give it that for sure
You are right about that!
V6 1lt 1le $35,000usd , I built one on chevloet website , 1ss 1le is $44,000
Thanks for sharing that info Ben!
There's no doubt that the RS seems to get higher visual marks than the SS but we think the front fascia is a big improvement. Some fans don't like it at all - but hey - we're biased!
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
I'd be interested to see the 4 cylinder version - I think that, along with the Mustang ecoboost and the Jaguar F-Type 4 cylinder, would make interesting Autocross triplets.
I totally agree! Especially if you get the 1LE option on the 4-banger!

Just traded in my Gen 5. Camaro for a 2020 and got it about a week ago and this is an amazing car for the money. Only paid 30 grand out the door. Completely different car. It's lighter handled better more comfortable. And just an all-around fantastic car.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing that with me!
2019 v6 it's hit but 2019 ss is a miss
I totally agree with you!
The problem is that you can get a V8 Mustang for $36k-$40k. Way more power and much better visibility and engine sound for the same price? Is there a big difference in the handling then?
There is less weight over the front wheels. This one just has a ton of options you can dump if you don't want and that would bring the price down!

I agree with the model badge placement. Bowtie in the front center, model badge in back center would be fine.
