Could you imagine standing in line with the free tickets you got in the mail after calling the show to request them, you hear that these two are the musical guests?? Not one, but both at once??
This appearance was to promote a package tour that had both of them on it, and I was there for their show in Orlando, and it was something to behold for sure!
I love the album cut of "I Pity The Fool" (which was essentially recorded live-in-the-studio) and this version is great as well. I was fortunate enough to see BB King in concert around this time and I was blown away. His guitar tone is one of my favorites and was even better in person.
BB will probably be leaving us soon. But I am so glad that we are able to see him for long after he is gone. Both him and Buddy are greats and will not be forgotten
He did a descending pentatonic run going down to the A string, while doing it realised his A string was quite flat, so he tuned it fast(although since he doesn't play chords, he rarely ever gets to use those strings).
got to c bb 4 times n buddy once n they r memories i will treasure forever and can't wait to bb in heaven n give a big for all the music he shared him n johnny winter r rocking Jesus every bone
Buddy Guy and BB King are my heroes because I'm kind of miss BB King long live the king of Blues and I'm still have his guitar Epiphone Lucille and I have Buddy Guy's polka dot Fender Stratocaster
All the living legends will become legends. I don't think we will ever have a blues singer with as much soul as these old blues singers, especially a woman to replace etta james.
RockOnPinkFloyd Obviously you don't know jack about guitars! Dumbest thing I've read today! I think all of his apprentices & fans differ. Ask Slash, Ronnie Lott, Clapton, Paige, Gary Moore.....
@flychism ... Or the sidewalks of Chicago, the streets of New York City, the bayous of Louisiana... trust me, I know the blues. It is the origins of most of the popular music in the U.S., actually. Certainly field calls and work songs were an important component, and one of the first, but let us not forget Congo Square and the influence of African Folk Music as well. But, yeah, my mentioning being familiar with the Bowie version (1965) certainly wasn't a claim for its greatness. It was OK.
Well what do want him to do, sing at a whisper's level? Why are you watching this video anyway, to hear just how hideous the singing is? Why don't you go off and watch a Chet Baker video or something, maybe Roberta Flack? You're DEFINITELY NOT A BLUES FAN!!!
Two great bluesmen on stage... Blues will never die !!! Thanks a lot for share !
bb and buddy is somthing to behold. wish i was there, blues legends.

His music comes from his soul that is a video to catch tips from not a guide to his guitar skill
Buddy Guy and BB King are my heroes because I'm kind of miss BB King long live the king of Blues and I'm still have his guitar Epiphone Lucille and I have Buddy Guy's polka dot Fender Stratocaster

Di questi tempi loro due sono il blues!
Funnily (and sadly) I only knew this from the old David Bowie cover. Nice to hear it this way!

Does anybody sing with more soul than B.B.? I think not
Fn Great and nothing more!
Came here after the ending song on “Raising Kanan”
Forgot that Tain was the drummer while Branford (briefly) led the Tonight Show Band. Wish this was better sound- great talent on that stage.
