Fun Fact: Lucifer saying "The last thing I need is a step-Dan" and Dan's response "You say some really strange things man" were both non-scripted improvised lines. Made keeping the straight faces more impressive :)
Suki Price is maybe the best one-scene character in the series. She's just hilarious and perfect. Meanwhile, the kiss on the beach scene brings me to tears no matter how many times I rewatch it.
I think Lucifer feels himself that it would not be right unless he comes clean first. He rejected her once for being drunk, not knowing what/who she is getting involved with is even worse. He is kind of the father of Free Will and he will not accept anything less even if it makes things worse.
"What's the happy ever after look like for Lucifer and Chloe?" I won't spoil it. I just wanted to mark the question for everyone else who's mind flashed to a number of future scenes and felt the same emotions I did... I want to say more but anything else would be telling.
It was a bit of a throwaway line- or perhaps the ep w the dialogue hasn't come up yet so sorry for the spoiler, Charlotte mentions her husband took the kids and left. They could have done a bit more w the dynamic, imo, but suddenly three new characters would have been a lot for this show to handle. I'm pretty sure the stalker either took pictures or took them from social media. Nowadays getting a hold of pictutes of people isn't that difficult, unfortunately. The show spends a lot of time on the what's up with Chloe questions
Can not wait until you see the next episode! I think the thing I love most about this show is that characters who are supposed to be good and "perfect" like the celestial are just as fallible as humanity. And that decisions and actions they perform turn around and kick them in their butts. And through this, they realize they are no better than humanity until they realize their errors. Their powers mean nothing other than to screw them up until they learn how to use them with wisdom and responsibility. To see someone who's "perfect" screwing up can bring hilarious consequences!
Haven't started watching the reaction yet, but just wanted to comment that this is one of my favorite episodes. Canon bi+ Lucifer. He really is an equal opportunity devil.
Great reaction - I love your happiness and glee when Lucifer goes devil (we're all with you). This is such a good episode, in such a good streak of episodes. Also, Suki - it doesn't fit entirely in the story that she would have been there so much and noone noticed, but as a meta commentary on the fandom, kind of having the same relationship to Lucifer as we have as viewers, she's fantastic!
God seems to be playing a game of ‘chess’. Who are the chess pieces and what does he want to achieve. Even Lucifer knows, God always has a plan. Love your reactions ❤ So much enjoyment headed your way!
Toujours aussi heureuse de voir votre réaction, moi qui ai déjà vu 6 fois la serie , aussi bien en anglais qu en français, je suis impatiente de voir la suite de votre réaction
This may be a bit meta, but you're a writer, so: if they messed up the romantic subplot _too_ badly, the show wouldn't have the fanbase it does! ☺ (Although...I've heard that part of the problem the network had with the show was that it kept appealing to the _wrong_ demographic(s), which made it harder to sell targeted advertising. But that's a story for another day.)
16:13 "How did she get this photo?" Because she's a stalker... I... I honestly can't tell sometimes if these are rhetorical questions, because you say them as if you're pointing out some glaring plot hole that you're tolerating; when the answer is always... _always_ obvious.... 🤦♂
The fact that they all claimed to have the 'time of their life' with him, following up with how it was 'nothing special'...either the first bit was a lie, or they're all more than a little crazy. lowest logic-point of the episode. considering the views it provided, wonder if that was by design.
I think you missed the point. The "time of their life" was in reference to physical pleasure, the "nothing special" was in reference to emotional impact. They loved the sex, but it wasn't anything more than great sex for them.
@@IceMetalPunk Indeed, the spell wears off quickly and though he remembers all of them fondly, none of them care if he lives or dies. It is a matter of perspective as observers assume that he is using others for pleasure, but it is the other way around, they use him then toss him away. He has nothing to win by maintaining that scheme, he only ever gives in to their demands, in the hope of finding deeper meaning and he is beginning to realize it won't work.
In my opinion, Charlotte has NOTHING that would/will get herself back into heaven. She has been in HELL (like a prison) for so long that EVERYTHING seems like a possible advantage. But it/they are not. At least nothing that has been shown toi the viewers of this show. But, I liked this Post, Anna. Keep it up.
I mean.... It's definitely not the first or _only_ time God was responsible for a woman having a baby.... I think they wrote a book about another one, long way back. *_More than_* 10 years ago. Was at the top of the best sell for a while; might have made a few movies about it. A couple of long running fan clubs. I forget what they call themselves... 🤔
God has done something like what he did to the Deckers. The fruit of that first divine conception is "fairly" famous. I think his name was Jesus or something like that
Except there's never been any reference to Jesus in the show, so he may not actually exist in that universe. Or if he did, he may not be actually divine.
@@geonunes10 Okay, sure... I just rewatched it, but I don't know what reference you're talking about? They only mention raining frogs, which is an Old Testament thing that has nothing to do with Jesus?

You have to admire and respect Lucifer for remembering all of his lovers names.
And they finally kissed!!!!
I think it's an angel thing. He said previously he has near-perfect memory. But still impressive he cared about so many details!
He has perfect memory, he just gets distracted a lot. Formula, just saying.

For the record the fandom term for Lucifer + Chloe is "DeckerStar" :p
It's official too! Lucifer even says "Quintessential Deckerstar"
I love all the characters for different reasons, but I have to admit I find Mazikeen to be the most entertaining . . .
Well she's not believeing he's really the Devil yet so that's a hell of a romantic problem for them to get past yet.
I think Lucifer feels himself that it would not be right unless he comes clean first. He rejected her once for being drunk, not knowing what/who she is getting involved with is even worse. He is kind of the father of Free Will and he will not accept anything less even if it makes things worse.
Strap in, because the next two are going to encounter some extreme turbulence... and some pretty profound revelations.
LOL pretty much true for most episodes!
This 3 episode arc (starting with this one) is one of the best of the show! So excited!
My favorite episode, actually every scene that Lucifer shows his true face is my favorite.
Give the writers more credit, I think they'll surprise you.!
love your reactions!

Choice is a big thing in the rest of this season and the next, actually it crops a fair bit right up the last season.
by the way, if anyone has seen the Blind Wave reactions of Lucifer. this episode led to one of their best arguments and weird tangents ever.

Trixie’s infrequent appearances are due to the actress’ busy schedule or she’d be around more.
