Good product but you have to be careful with it. The particles are really small and it’s almost 30% Nitrogen so you need to make sure you aren’t putting more than 2 lbs of product down per 1000. Any more than that and that’s too much N for centipede
You definitely do not see them mix atrazine 8oz of herbicide to 2 gallons of water. You use 1.5oz per 1,000sq.ft. with a minimum spray rate of 1 gallon of water per 1,000sq.ft. This is why product labels and proper training are important.
Yes that’s right. Hopefully no water on it for at least 4 days, but then rain or water after 7-10 days is necessary for the pre-emergent barrier to be established. Thanks!
@@CentipedeCentralLawnCare Thanks! Weeds completely take over in one area of my backyard. I am going to get this spray type weed control and apply it this Sunday. I live in panhandle area and it says there will be four days dry weather starts Sunday.
Now that we’re getting into the heat of late spring here in SC, what product would you recommend that can withstand the temps? I used (before I knew better) Scott’s triple action for southern lawns, but did so prior to a large rain event and pretty sure most washed away.
Any of the fertilizers I recommend in my fertilizer videos will work well. Also the weed and feed products I recommend in the Weed & Feed video. That’s interesting. I would probably give it another week and then you will be fine to apply atrazine. After that I would wait a while before applying any more herbicides. Thanks for the comment!
Great info! How do you know how much you applied since it is a sprayer? In other words how do I know I didn't under do it or over do it based on my 1k square feet area?
I really go by feel and try not to overthink it. Walk at a steady pace and lightly coat the area as you’re moving. You could always get a concentrate to be more precise and measured
Hi, I hope you can help. I have a centipede yard that is covered in weeds. It is almost mid-May here in NC. We have been gone for months and didn't apply any pre-emergent or fertilizer. It is almost mid-May here in NC. What do you suggest to get the yard back going. Aerate, Fertilize first and then add Celsius/Atrazine? Or, would you suggest something different? Thanks so much!
I would take care of the weeds first. Try Atrazine first and whatever weeds are still present after 2-3 weeks you can take care of with either Celsius or Fertilome Weed Free Zone. After the 2-3 week mark then fertilize. Aeration is great practice but do the weeds and fertilizer first. Aeration can toss around weed seeds and make the weed problem worse. Thanks for the comment.
I’ve already used Scott Bonus s weed n feed (w/ atrazine) twice this year on my st aug but I plan on adding this spray in the fall. Should I hold off? If no. what do you suggest as a alternative that I can find in a box store?
Usually Atrazine should be limited to twice per year. That’s what the label states. For second question It depends on if you are using to kill existing weeds or more as a pre emergent
@@CentipedeCentralLawnCare originally I was using it as a post emergent because that’s what I thought it did. What else can I do to get rid of a few yellow spots and get it stronger. Can I or should I add more feed and should I add seed . I have St Augustine... thanks for your utube help
If I’m understanding you correctly , if you have St. Augustine and have only fertilized in March then now would be the time to fertilize again for sure. I would probably hold off on more Atrazine for a while since you have done 2 apps already and maybe look for a broadleaf weed killer safe for St. Aug. Thanks for the comment!
