GM Thermac Air Cleaner, EFE System, Carb Heat and Heat Stove Operation

This is an in depth look at the 80's to late 90's GM Thermac, EFE, and heat stove - sometimes called a heat riser - system, and how all those elements work together in your GM vehicle. Most of this stuff would likely not be working as it should by now, so it would be a good idea to check these systems to make sure they are present and working as they should. A malfunctioning EFE system can cause your vehicle is remain at high idle for long periods of time before being able to bump off the choke. This particular thermac air cleaner is off my 1989 P30 motorhome that has a naturally apirated 454 in it. Watch this video if your are curious as to how all this works !
