Hey man I know I’m a year late but I just wanted to thank you for this video. I have been trying to locate where to direct my money on a single do-it-all type amp and you really showed the versatility of this thing and I’m amazed at the wide range of sounds available from this little monster amp. Like having a beautiful Fender Twin a raunchy Marshall and a crushing Mesa Boogie all at once. Too bad you aren’t in Colorado so I could jam with someone and swap guitar ideas. Sucks not knowing any other guitar players in real life. Just wanted to say thank you for putting your time into this video. It was very helpful.
Glad you enjoyed the video and it was useful for you! You describe the tones I’m shouting for pretty good. I’m always here to showcase bad guitar playing and free unsolicited advise! Cheers! ;)
@@digitalreign7485 dude your guitar playing is not bad. It is clear you are in the upper tier (intermediate) level of playing. You clearly have all the capabilities, if you just tighten the screws up a little which only takes playing and practice concentrating by yourself in a quiet environment where you’re brain is solely focused on what your playing then that will tighten it up for sure. I was enjoying it myself.
@@digitalreign7485 you got it! Is the prs MT15 loud enough to gig with in small to medium gigs? Any noise issues with feedback loop I have heard others say?
@@chadhosegood Oh yeah. Plenty loud! Most places I play out have a sound system and it's mic'd. I don't get it must past rehearsal volume at the gig and that is about 9 o'clock most of the time on the dirty and half volume on the clean. I haven't had any problems with feedback in either of my prs mt 15 heads. So, I can't speak to that issue. Cheers!
Dude, so this tone is after you changed the tubes? Was this before the video when yo changed the tubes? I could look them up but when they were posted still will not definitely tell me if that is for sure pre or post tube change. Just found your channel and like your vids, dude. Just raw truthful playing and reviews. Nice to see that. Everything is so edited and polished these days.
Hey Bill! Dude-Bro, This video was created after I changed the tubes out for a lower gain tone. I have a video up you should check out where I compared a bunch of pre-app tubes and changes within the gain staging. This video also includes what the amp sounds like with the OG set of JJ tubes in it. Cheers Brother!
Great video! How do you think this stacks up against the Revv series (G20, D20)? I am considering both due to the attenuation feature. If I had a separate attenuator the MT15 would certainly be attractive!
Really good question. I don’t own a Revv D/G 20. But have watched a few videos on them. Really cool amps with a build in reactive Two Notes for direct recording. Tone wise it is hard to say other than they are both high gain amps. The Revv comes with 6V6 power tubes and the MT15 comes with 6L6. Which to me is the game changer here and is why it is really hard for any of the other lunchbox heads to compare with the MT15 because those tubes provide a massive bottom end response that the little guys just don’t quite have. It moves some air brother! But it really comes down to how you are going to use each amp. I’d stick with the MT15 if it was my choice. It just does what I want it to do live and easy to record with my two notes captor live. I could get both of those and still have some cash left over for what the Revv costs. Let me know what you decided to purchase and if you are happy with it. Cheers!
Not necessarily. I was mostly using the eq to get the fuzz pedal to cut in the band. The eq pedal does a great job failing in to where you need to sit in the mix. It doesn’t always sound great as a stand alone sound with accompaniment and context.
@@MrKadidle51 Hey Joe. I have not had any issues with it actually. The amp is build as well as the boutique ones in my option. Of course it is a printed circuit board and made in China. But I have seen a major quality control boost in items I have purchased from China in the last 7 years or so. Which includes guitars and amps.
Well U need a multy effects board or pedal cos the PRS mt15 dirty chanel is unusable.totaly junk.and doze not sound like a valve amp at all and aloud hum.only fit for a child amp.but good video
Appreciate your opinion on the amp and I agree on the red channel it is way over saturated and I have videos changing out some of the tubes to make is more usable. Cheers!

Great job on those tones!
Thanks Chad! Much appreciated and thanks for checking out the video.

Great tone. Really like the Deja Vibe. I have the mini. Best univibe I've had.
Finally I found this video, nice review sir.
Appreciate that HCB! Cheers!
Randomly came across this vid; much appreciated and enjoyed. Say, do you have your reverb running through front or loop?
Much appreciated. I have the reverb running through the fx loop. Cheers!
Nice tones!!
Thanks Johan. I appreciate that!
great sound

Is that EQ engaged the whole way thru the Red channel sectionof this demo?
Not necessarily. I was mostly using the eq to get the fuzz pedal to cut in the band. The eq pedal does a great job failing in to where you need to sit in the mix. It doesn’t always sound great as a stand alone sound with accompaniment and context.
Beautiful tones mate , what else u want !
Much appreciated. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
How about some stuff in the fx loop?
You got it Joe! It’s coming.
@@digitalreign7485 appreciate it. Have you had any issues with it? I've seen some blurbs here and there about fx loop issues.
