Entertaining vid Tomley. I thought the bashing you did here was quite reasonable and maybe more representative of what the bulk of owners would do with one of these.......unless I have it completely wrong and everyone just hits skate parks these days.
It looks to me like this truck is a tad fragile in places, perhaps a V2 in a couple years will sort it.
I was just about to put a comment and pin it saying my bashing was probably more like the average user... and then you put the same... sounds better coming from someone else :) Cheers dude... I 100% Agree.

I would say thats a bit lame for a extreme basher but a broken arm is a 'nice' thing to break, cheap and easy to fix. Better than bending the chassis!

Kraton 8s plastic
A bent chassis where it was bashed would take a major effort, even for an Arrma. I actually was surprised it broke an arm. It was a good crash but not savage by any means 🤔
Kev, i think you should get one and make it 6s, i think it would take someone like you to bend the chassis the way that little car is braced up
To be fare it did take a hell of a beating before it broke. Pretty cool RC. 🔥

Congrats bro, you are the first UA-cam reviewer to break the Sketer on its maiden run. Team Corally should keep sending you these rigs because you drove this how most others who buy it will. Big thanks. 👍 From what I've seen this drives like a 1/8 buggy with bigger wheels. The MT10 is lighter and a backflip beast. I'll keep to my Rival at this stage. Awesome review mate, best of this truck on YT. 🤟💯
It makes sense it's not a back flip machine because of its longer wheel base. Usually means more stability but less stunts. It seems to be a cartwheel machine like my kraton though.
Team corally are doing some really good stuff , their cars just keep getting better and better 👌

I've had a few breaks on my Corally Kronos but no more than the X Maxx or the Kraton have. My Granite holds up pretty good though, I suppose that's more to do with it being a smaller lighter car though.
Tumble wumble, tough little bugger I like it, yes a tire change, or a gear change should help the air control

It’s pretty big, probably on par with the standard Maxx. Seems pretty well built so far

@@TomleyRC well the Kronos is their “Beefy” basher so maybe their sending that model to UA-cam’ers that send it to the moon for testing, considering last years model people weren’t to happy with.

Probably the weight making it harder to control in the air, couldn't tell if the tires ballooning much which may also be a factor if they don't balloon, time to gear it up me thinks 😂😂, with Arrma not having any 4s cars there is a huge hole in the market and have been looking at these, wonder how it would fair in the hands of Jack and Callum with some big sends
arrma actually make a 4s kraton and outcast but have been discontinued unfortunately
It’s nose heavy… but as far as build quality, I’m sure it will take some decent abuse.
@@house_of_carnage I have the Outcast 4s - Arrma 4s cars have not been on sale for nearly 2 years now, the new ones were supposed to be released early 2021, and are now supposed to be released summer 2022, as i said Arrma dont have any 4s cars

The skeeter seems great if your looking for the smallest truck that can still handle rough terrain well

For me a basher should do easy backflips and not be heavy as a rock. But a lot of people will just run it around on an open grass field it will be OK for that. I like to spend more air time than on ground 😄
Yeah, a bit of tuning and maybe even 6s will sort that out 😅
Thanks for the nice review. I would also be interested in your view about the new Kronos XTR. The diffs on my Kraton EXB are blowing up constantly and I'm looking for something durable that's not Traxxas or Arrma...

Corally have released some rather nice trucks of late, especially with this new Skeeter & the 2022 kronos XTR ….. Both are certainly looking rather tempting tbh, being extremely well put together with some HD components.
Totally agree with your thoughts of tweaking the suspension & pinion upgrade,
I think these tweaks will help the trucks performance quite noticeably.

Don’t get me wrong i have a few TC, however i really think they can be priced slightly better, that’s my only beef with them. I honestly think it should come in closer to $399.99-429.99. Just my 2 cents. I think a lot more people would buy it then 😉👍🏼💯

@@mikebird8290 we are addressing youtubers who have them for free - that bias is denied all the time, in spite of however the spin. There should be more transparency e.g. RC companies should just demand their cars back after review - afterall the views these videos get should be payment enough - and they should know which channels have the critical mass of viewers
To make back the cost of the truck would be around 200k views… and then add the hrs it takes to film and edit.. add another 50-100k or so of views. This video at the most will get about 20-30k views which would work out at about $100. Your theory is wrong, if this was a normal day job, I’d be working at a loss if I had to send the product back 👍 It’s up to you to decide if you think the reviewer is being transparent and honest. All I’ll say is that Horizon Hobby don’t send me anything anymore 🤷🏼♂️… I wonder why

I want to say you probably cracked the arm in a combination of the many bad landings and cartwheels then the last jump just took it out the rest. I think any care wouls break under those conditions. Its a beast though, i do think the wheelie bar may need a redesign or modification like thicker bracing or mounting i should say, and wheel should come in about 1/2 an inch i think it works like a lawndart currently

I enjoyed your review and evaluation. The landing that broke the arm would damage many monster trucks but it was on dirt that's softer than the skate park landing areas.
Yeah and the tire got some good grip in the grass. It might have slid on concrete.

Seems decent. Since going to the Outcast 8s, I don't think I'll be going for anything smaller. I'm not one for backflips and all that. Bigger air...yes, but not stunts.
At some point I'll get another large scale. I won't be getting a Traxxas though. I don't care if the Xmaxx is the best RC...it's still Traxxas

Nice truck!! I quite like the fact that it's a bit fugly, as I wouldn't be so disappointed if I smashed the shell up!! Shame about the breakage, but great it's easy to get the parts at such a reasonable price!! It'll be interesting to see what aftermarket upgrades come for it 😎👍🏻

If you turn up the punch it’s apparently better for in air control, obviously not quite so good for the drivetrain, but with those landings, the drivetrain is probably the least of your worries 🤣😂🤣

Great vid, see more plastic parts breaking this time of the year and that's probably as hard as I have seen you bash anything on that grass 😛. A 15t seems a good sweet spot on gearing from all the US vids I have seen. It's not really a stunt truck out the box it needs some bigger tyres that will balloon up more to help with rotation in the air.
Maybe some backflip 3.8 LP or similar

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but it looks like it recoils from landings awkwardly. Sure driving could be part of it but I saw some decent landings that should have been absorbed and it rebounded like a basketball. Good video.

I will stay Tommy if you change it pinion to a 15 tooth u will need a fan for the motor mine getting hot ever since I change mine an it not that much faster I would start by turning up punch setting
