Iv never seen them before. From the reviews and what iv read they are both awsome monster trucks kinda more like a truggy compared to the HPI Savage x 4.6 nitro old school one I had. Faster to for sure ! Just get a ammo tin for those batteries man if they ever catch on fire so dangerous. I do maintence and I just seen a appartment catch because of a scooter batteris all on fire. If I were to buy id lean to the Kagama even though its hard to get parts in Canada for it. You cant go wrong with Arrma though they are both great bud. Thanks for asking.@@Themlpg73
Picked up a roller Kagama as my first 8th scale. The thing is a blast to drive. A set of 17mm serrated wheel nuts and it's good to go. Max 8 4278 sensored combo 70kg servo DumboRC Rx and Tx I'm still getting used to driving something this heavy (my other truck was 3s Granite) so I've only done 4s. But on 4s it hits 40+ offroad and can spin the tires on punch level 3 out of 9, on 75% throttle dual rate. This thing is gonna be nuts on 6s, so I've got 7075 shock towers, ADU racing titanium shock standoffs and a 7075 Ackerman plate and 7075 chassis. This thing is way tougher than the Kraton EXB, IMO. But i still didn't forget to pick up a spare set of upper and lower front and rear arms.
Epic vid Vas. Gotta say shocks are rather well tuned for a stockie!!! Team Corally have really stepped up with the strength of their cars that's for sure. Beast on 4s...6s is insane...great air control though!!!
Big call. Still have the Big Rock to test out, and even though that's a larger size and more expensive, I still feel the Asuga has an edge over the Kagama purely because it doesn't overheat. Thoughts? 🤔
@@AussieRCPlaygroundI haven't had any problems with my kagama overheating. I've had several RTR TCs and I've never had one overheat. Personally I think the Kagama has the edge because it's more versatile.
Yeah, that's fair. Mind you, it was about 30° (86F) when I was testing the car, so maybe that had something to do with it. However, you'll see in the next video with the Kagama (which I filmed the next day), it shut down again and it wasn't quite as hot. It happened mid flight, too, which ended the run immediately, and you'll see why. 😬 Here's my theory, as these cars get better with more bracing and thicker plastics to make them more durable, they also get heavier. The 2050kv motor and 150amp ESC combo has been the norm for a lot of RTR cars/brands going on about 10yrs now, so I think it's time things change. The Kagama weighs about 3-400g more than the previous gen XTR and ARRMA are also doing the same thing with their 6S Mojave, Fireteam and now the Big Rock. And even HoBao did it with the large 1/7 scale Hyper MT 2. Those systems (all around 4074 2000kv matched to a 150amp ESC) are at their limit with these larger and/or heavier cars and I think it's becoming more and more evident. Other creators are also having overheating issues with the Kagama and I've also experienced it with my Mojave and Hyper MT 2. I don't know, I just feel like this combo is great for buggies and truggies, but as MTs get bigger and heavier, these manufacturers need to level up their systems. Not necessarily for more power, but for better efficiency and cooler temps.
@@AussieRCPlayground Yeah it's definitely at the limit. It wasn't quite that warm out here in Florida when I was testing mine but it was still fairly warm.
Great video. I think the switch off was due to too much heat. I now know of 3 videos here on UA-cam where the ESC switches off in the first 8 minutes. Actually wanted to order an RTR and had asked Corally about the heat. They said that there are no problems with stock setup. But I don't think that's quite true as everyone here is talking about too much heat. They could have installed one tooth less and a fan...
Yup, I think you're spot on. These cars are getting heavier as more bracing and thicker plastic is being used, so even is diff gearing and pinion and spur is the same as previous cars, there's more load on the electrics which bumps up the heat. I've done another video with the Kagama and only ran 6S, and you'll see just how ESC cutting out is a major problem. Stay tuned.
Awesome video 👍 the truck looked real good on 4S pretty impressive. I did 200,000 in my center and that seems to help quite a bit. I agree 1 million is way overkill for this truck. Anyway, good rip🚀💪👍👊
I think you went thermal..... I didn't see you touch the motor to see if it was hot..... Good stuff Vas Corally are THE MOST Underrated RC company out there IMHO
The stock tires seem to hook up pretty good. A buddy of mine just got a Corally Muraco... kind of like the talion. He said the tires on it were just awful. He put a set of arrma backflip lp's on it and liked it. I was surprised with how light it was. I'm used to my heavily modified outcast and kraton, both are pretty heavy especially compared to that thing. Looked like a really well built truck.
I just got my kagama ! I'll be running it today , not to confident in these stock tires , not much quality there , but everything else is a great platform for sure , love the support pins being eliminated from the bulkheads , and like the support system also , I'll be leaving the electronics alone on this rc , great info video , I need a program card for sure , center diff looks like it could use some thickening maybe
Excellent driving as always and on 4s it’s so impressive I have this on my radar for my next potential basher the only thing that hold me back is my local hobby shop doesn’t carry team corally but it’s look like a great rig to add to the fleet hopefully we get to see the big rock 6s on the Superman jump soon
Man that thing flys for days! I remember my jambo & kronos getting really hot really quickly however I’m sure it’s temp cutting! Amazing driving though Vas, clearly your RC flying license is in date 😂
Thanks for the kind words. I would probably start with a 4-5000mah and go up from there. The issue is physical size and what can fit in the battery tray. The ray is pretty good, so you should be able to fit a large variety of packs, but there is a limit. Hope that helps.
Nice first run buddy! Liking wat i see....Just dropped some electronics in mine. Compared it to my v2 kronos and so much has changed. TC have definitely stepped up their game. Defo one to add to any bashing fleet! Keep the content coming brother 👍🙂
man u got good throttle control, awesome jump and car !!, always loves TC, too bad my allocation for rc car this has run out after 2 back to back purchase last month .. lol gonna wait next year
Did I read lithium-uranium on the battery? Where does all that power come from on 4S? It does run out of juice a bit fast though. Does it say anything how many amps the ESC is, it has to come from somewhere...
Haha, no special uranium batteries used during this vid. 😜 The ESC is 185amps, but I think the speed comes from the gear ratio of the pinion and bevel gears at the F/R diffs. This may also be the cause of the overheating issues I encountered as it could be due to drawing too many Amps.
Nice vid Vas solid rip! keep em coming! hey, lil tip on the cartwheels. If you turn the wheel and blip the throttle you can get it to pull out of the ninja star of doom. In my recent Halloween themed Outcast 8s video I show it in action, Can'y wait for your Big Rock content! TC is ok but I'm an Arrma fanboy 😂 "Are you Crazy?!?"
Said it before... You, Sir, IMO produce the best running videos on YT. Definitely gonna pick one of these up for 2024.
Wow, thanks Steve. 😎🤜🤛
True
I really enjoy watching Vaz videos.
Im not gonna lie . I think the kagama might be the best 1/8 scale . Its tough , it flips easily , stable . Feels like a kraton and outcast hybrid .
Nice run, truck is a BEAST! Great driving as usual!
Thanks 👍
I honestly never been so excited to get my hands on an RC
Ya this car looks great. Its sad I wanted to get a ARRMA Talion but they dont make it anymore ?

Always gotta tighten up the wheels on any rc after unboxing

But the funny thing is that their esc is meant to be 185 amps
Which is what I’m not understanding the thermos so regular

I think HoBao and Team Magic are the most underrated brands. But that's just my opinion. 😁
Great video. Would love to see it out again on 4s with a couple of teeth more on the pinion. Those Corally power systems do seem to run pretty hot
It's me, I'm overkill on the diffs lol. I put 1mil in the center, but so far, so good for taste. Awesome video, as always!

Stock tyres are some of the best RTR tyres on the market today, you should have no issues. 😉
Amazing run with the Kagama 👍 looks like 6s I obsolete 😄
Do you have stock shocks oil and springs or something is changed?
Awesome air , got to try Altona

Same thing happened on my Asuga twice LOL. Both shock towers bent from small jumps too so I got rid of it lol.

Get the RedCat 1/6 scale machete Truggy, & review that! 👍👌
I can't get those here, unfortunately. 😔
The differents between 4 and 6s is about 16000 rmp for the motor.😂

Even with a max6 combo my Corally’s run nice on just 4s
The first Team Corally im intrigued by. Might be my first TC car next year.
I told them on their Facebook page that they should come with serrated wheel nuts
heatsink and fan needed
Maybe some cell of GensAce is weak?
Guess 4s is enough for a newbie 😀
I don't know about you but I would expect wheelies when using a 4s. It does jump well however.
I was literally doing wheelies with it on 4S in the first 10sec of the video. 😁
Hi mate great video I really like this vehicle it's got great breacing. I was there 2 days ago 👍🦘😜🤪🤣🤣
