It’s a beautiful van. I saw one of there vans at the NEC. Great design and materials. We have a Autotrail Expedition 68 based on a Fiat Ducato. It was half the price, sleeps 4, has shower, toilet, solar, has a bike garage big enough for 5 bikes, BBQ chairs tables tools etc.
Revel by Winnebago is a Mercedes Sprinter mod that I see at US MTB races. Goes for $200K+. 4WD, turbo-diesel. I’m lusting after one now but there are also many competitors. COVID apparently made RVs take off in the US so there’s a lot of competition in this space as well as after-market products for just about any part of the van. People generally trade up over years before spending this sort of money on a van. And then they don't just use it for a couple of weeks a year. They generally hold a lot of their value too. It's a lifestyle, not just an occasional trip.
@@germurphy4986 I agree with you. However there is small situation conflict regarding life and this van. Nice Van, but no mention of Blakes's build on GMBN. I wonder what the price difference was between his and this nice van. I'd love to see a comparison. TY
The base price of a high spec VW Crafter MWB is probably £55-60k with an automatic gearbox and a few chosen options. Leaving a build of perhaps £25-30k and the rest is the perfectly acceptable profit for the company making it. Residual value is high for these.
