You are very good instructor. It’s not the washing machine I was looking for on UA-cam but you were so good, I had to watch it to the end. 👍 well done mate.
So nice of you, all I'm trying to do is teach in the correct way that everyone understands. It would be really helpful for me to get my video shared and help us fight appliance waste! I'm also employing someone now to assist me in my workload. You can support us by donating to our website www.how-to-repair.com/help/buy-paul-a-beer/ I will continue to invest the beer donations that I receive predominantly into the new video technology that I'm learning with tracking cameras and better audio to make it easier for everyone to understand 🔋
Good job! It's a pity as usual that the bearings are not accessible. I think Beko suffer from motor problems, because I once saw one with the exact same problem as the one in the video, and it needed a full motor replacement. Strangely enough, we had a Haier HW70-1282, whose brushes went bad after just 3 years, but it didn't burn anything. It just would not turn and displayed a motor error.

The way to combat companies that use built in obsolescence is not to buy their products. I now use my local laundrette machines for both washing and drying. It is actually cheaper than having my own machines. I only use the dryers during the bad winter months. Other times I use my free wind and solar 11meter(washing line)dryer. My local laundrette charges £7 for the largest machine and that's equivalent to 4 loads in a standard domestic machine. Only additional cost to me is wash tabs/liquid/powder , fabric conditioner and "occasionally" using the dryers for which £3 is usually enough for the same quantity of items to be dried. I got chatting with the guy that owns the laundrette one day and he told me that the machines that he used are so reliable that in fifteen years he has only ever had one machine go down which he fixed himself at less than a quarter of the cost had he called out an engineer. He also does all of his own routine service work. Quids in I would say! There's gold in them there hills👍😎👍
I can 100% vouch for what you're saying, as I own a laundry in Portugal www.algarvelaundry.com i use the ipso boiler fed machines but I've run them off solar water. These machines will go on for 30+ years if well maintained but they do cost an excess of £2000 a machine. With over 3 million machines been bought in the United Kingdom alone per annum. You see why they become so greedy. If it fails they make money, but the manufacturer is not interested in them being repaired because they do not make money only the engineer who repairs it. So if they make the parts hard to get difficult to take off an economic to repair, all they are doing is sending you back to the shop yet, one manufacturer may own multiple brands to examples being Whirlpool owns Hotpoint Ariston indesit creda. Plus others Electrolux is aeg and Zanussi, plus others. Thanks for you brilliantly put together videos. Do you know if there is any way to take apart the program selector dial without having to take the whole front plate off?
Great video learnt alot thank you, i reckon I can do the repair but basically my Beko wme8227s stop working after regular use of 10+ years it will fill the drum but does not spin but it will drain. Below is what happens when I put the washing machine on a rinse spin. 1. Door will lock 2. Water fills the drum 3. I hear a short small click 4. Does not spin 5 I hear a couple more clicks on the 20min cycle 6. Then water drains 7. Door will unlock During this time the display timer stays on 20min and never moves but will eventually end 20min later. Any advice is very much appreciated 😁
Replaced Carbon Brushes washing now working, thank to the help of this video and many others I was able to fix my problem. Thank you so much for the amazing content you do
Will try what you have said on this for my mothers beko machine. I was changing the cycle to spin and drain after it had finished the previous cycle and it flashed and tripped the circuits. Water works but it does not count down or spin. Will try to check motor and motherboard
7:25 A more technical name for that board would be "DC module" or "AC to DC converter board" as that's what it does, it converts AC coming from the main PCB to DC that goes to the motor (the motor is being run on DC for a few reasons despite being a universal motor). It is found in high-spec models as in >=8 kg models, >=7 kg 1300 rpm models and a 6 kg 1600 model.

Hello mate, here you can have the right information about motor details👇 Universal series motor is used. Universal series motor consists of stator and rotor. Stator and rotor windings are connected in series by means of collector and brush and current is transmitted to the rotor windings. Motor speed control is made over electronic card. Motor triac on the card adjusts the motor/drum speed by changing the triac triggering angle according to the signal coming from the tacho. In case of abnormal situations (continuous operation-locked rotor), thermocouple is available on the motor winding to protect the winding from overheating. I one of my daughter overloaded the machine ☹ Would it be safe to assume that it's the 'PCB DC MODULE' that is at fault in this instant? Many thanks!

I had the same problem with creda super speed energy save 1200 over probably about 15 years ago I didn’t know back then as I was young that my brushes were worn and it damaged the armature in the motor and it blew up! Excellent diagnosis. Indeed, sparking on commutator is either caused by raised com bars or short in the winding of the armature.
If brushes were changed this might not of happened. Thanks for commenting
Thank you sir! Excellent clear video. Now I know which board controls the motor! 😊

I've always replaced DC, main PCB & motor when a comm segment has lifted, presumed it always tracked back to main PCB aswell
Yes , absolutely Wright.
That why a dont likr beko,
You csn not open the drum and replace the bearing ,coz it all sealed together.
i have had 3 beko excelence machines that have had the segments lift on the motor, 2nd hand motor from ebay, then sold on
Great job
