I own one and it can't be beat for price to quality ratio if you are into the Beretta 92 style. I'm pretty sure all the parts are machined with no mim or plastic. New Beretta 92's have some plastic parts. Only thing I wish the front sight was changeable to fiber optic. Just me but I hate plastic parts and guide rods. You could by three of these for the price of a M9A3. Personally I also like the finger grooves on the Regard

I’ve had Beretta’s for years and they are my favorite. I have to say the Girsan Regard is every bit as good as a Beretta. The only thing I did was replace the recoil and hammer springs with Wilson Combat springs. I do that to all my Beretta pistols as well. I’ll probably put a skeletonized hammer and a Wilson Combat rear battle sight on it as well. I’m very happy with it. If you don’t want to spend for a Beretta the Regard is an excellent option.

Works fine for Turkish cops and military. Passed mil-spec tests tougher than the M9 and M11 went through. The block changes increase service life of that part. Not often you can get more of what really counts and pay less.

@@RJ-oi3ck Would have to get it from Girsan. While most of the Beretta/Girsan parts interchange, the blocks and slides do not. Since blocks are the part most likely to be replaced in a gun shot a lot over a long time, it keeps that money in Girsan's pocket.

Two days ago I was at a gun show looking to help my dad find a good deal on a concealable handgun for personal protection. He didn't like any pistols but fell in love with a particular revolver instantly after holding and examining it and got a great deal on it. After the background check cleared and he got to take the revolver with him, we started looking for a rifle for me. I didn't find what I was looking for, so I started looking at handguns because why not? I was leaning toward either a Tokarev or 1911, but we ended up back at the vendors who sold my dad his brand new revolver. One of them asked what I was looking for, and I still wasn't sure. After learning that when it comes to handguns I favor hammer fired pistols, he pulled one of these out of the display case, and I recognized it as a Beretta 92. It was quite a surprise to learn it was a clone. He pointed out all the differences, which mostly seemed cosmetic and showed me how it functions. It thought it was a really cool gun, so I took it home for $380 even, tax and transfer fee included. Can't wait to try it at the range this Wednesday!

I got a Girsan MC Regard based on your and other reviews. I had a Beretta years ago but wasn’t in love with it for the $$$. I took the Girsan out first time last Saturday ran 300rds of various ammo including Russian steel case surplus that is soft and had NO ISSUES cycling, FTE/FTF, stovepipes or anything. I’m surprised how the trigger weighs on scale as it doesn’t feel that heavy when I shoot, and in Single action was a breeze. I had no issues on “Defensive” accuracy staying on target rapid fire, not about tightness of groups. I found the sight a little low at 10 learned to adjust and solid shooter

The Sig Sauer firearm manufacturer and Ruger are both in this state. I paid $450 USD for my regard mc. And given the fact that it's an import of such excellent quality I'm amazed I really am that this firearm was available at that price. But God damn three grand for a beretta? Jesus Christ that's ridiculous. They're a great gun yeah but I wouldn't pay three grand I mean I know you don't have a choice in the matter apparently but Jesus Christ why are they so expensive in your country? The import costs alone certainly do not make it that expensive I'm guessing your government is dipping their hands into it they must be.

Amazing gun. Very happy and satisfied with this gun. I was skeptical at first because of how cheap it is but wow man. It's definitely worth it. The only difference is it has a different name and make. But everything is just like the M9. There's another that is just like the 92fs.

Someone recommended this to me but didn't know much about guns and didn't realize that this is the m9 clone which I was strongly considering along with the cz 75 SP-01. I got the SP-01 and don't get me wrong, I love it. It's my first gun but I do wish I would have looked at that recommendation a little harder because the pricepoint of the girsan regard mc is staggeringly lower than most highly regarded pistols.

The Regard isn't a clone - Girsan originally produced them under Beretta license, so they are simply foreign produced Berettas for the commercial market under the Girsan label. Is a Toyota Camry produced in Kentucky a clone of a Japanese Camry?

Before I even watch this I can say - this model is a true knock off but it looks good, good trigger, zero issues and take down and function is super. The only thing I found is the Girsan shot to the right. So A tweak to the back sight and done. Accurate and takes Beretta mags. It just works and for this price point it is great !

I just paid for one of these a few days ago while I was browsing around my local Sportsman's Warehouse. Overall felt real nice in the hand, slide action was smooth, and trigger felt alright. Now just waiting for the 4473 to go through, gonna be a few weeks they said. I looked up the one i bought on EAA's website and found it was an exclusive model to Sportsman's Warehouse, has a black/carbon grey finish, G10 or Micarta grip scales, and the one thing that was certainly different was the spiral fluted barrel. Kinda curious how that'll effect its shooting, I'll have to wait and see. Overall for 560 bucks it's certainly a good looking bit of hardware.

  • @nathanstricklin4845

For anyone on the fence just buy it. The pistol is NATO approved and a standard issue sidearm for the Turkish military. I stumbled across this gun used a few months ago for a steal and it's quickly became one of my favorite handguns to use. It feels like quality in the hand, on par with any Beretta I've handled bar the elite models and of course better than any I've ever been issued. So far I haven't found a single Beretta part that doesn't work including a g kit, threaded barrel, grips (with very minor fitment), Wilson springs, and mags. It fits in all the quality surplus Beretta holsters flooding the market. The guns only downside (unless you hate finger grooves) is it has a fixed front sight like the m9a1 and there's only a couple companies milling these out anymore. This gun is a no brainier at the price we've been seeing them.

I do see a couple of important differences. The Girsan does not have an oversized hammer pin and grooved slide. This change was implemented on Berettas to prevent slide failures. The Girsan also uses a Type 1 locking block as opposed to the Beretta Type 3 style. It should be expected that the Girsans will experience block cracking the same as the early Berettas with Type 1 blocks.

I've watched this video i dont know how many times. I wanted a hammer fired pistol for a little while now after owning a few striker fired. Not saying striker fired is bad but a change. I ended up picking up this firearm today and had some issues of a live round pushing the spent round back in the chamber. Out of 200 rounds its happened roughly 8 times. Not blaming the firearm because it literally went straight from the counter, up the stairs and right into the range. I'm guessing it needs a break in period or maybe a wipe down and better than the factory lube that came with it that it was coated in. All in all with the issues I've had in the 1st 200 rounds I still like this gun, I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm happy I found this review of the gun before I bought something else. Thanks sootch00

Two things. One the Girsan is a 92f clone, not a 92fs. Not a big deal, but you can google the difference. Also, if you research deeply enough, there is some relationship between Girsan and Beretta, not sure what exactly, but it's there. I own one of these and after a couple thousand rounds, the thing runs perfectly, and I would recommend it to anyone. I've shot many pretty hot hand loads through it and haven't put the slide into my grill yet. There is no disappointment with this gun.

I have both the PT-92 and Regard MC along with true Beretta 92's. If I was going clone, Regard all the way. The only thing I like on the PT-92 over the Regard is the frame mounted safety/decocker. I have a WC 12# spring in the Regard MC and it's sweet for the price. I wish it was a 92A1 clone w/ a dovetailed front, but I painted my front orange and blacked out the rear so it's easier to pick up.

    • @trekOCLVone

I haven't shot the PT-92. All I can comment on is the Regard and there isn't any down side. I was looking for a FDE Beretta but am on a budget so the prices alternative wasn't going to happen. The Regard MC is better than expected.

FYI it is based on the earlier 92f not the 92fs. It does not have the retainer to keep the slide on the frame if it cracks from using machine gun ammunition. You can inadvertently taste beretta cloned steel like a seal if you go outside manufacturer spec ammunition.

This gun is more like the beretta m9a1 than it is to the m9a3. Its almost an identical copy, only differences i have found over the m9a1 it the finger groves, and the rail. M9a1 has 1 rail slot regard has 4. That's actually a win for the regard in my book. I have all 3 guns the regard, the m9a1, and m9a3. The m9a3 is my favorite for many reasons, but price is 3x what this regard sells for. The regard is an awesome gun, and for what its price at, a tremendous value.
