Dan saying “you’re not getting credit for Sam Darnold” and acting like the Vikings purely just lucked into it is such a painfully bad take. 1) Dan saying Darnold was always supposed to be the backup is completely false. Literally every single Vikings reporter and KOC himself confirmed during camp that Darnold was always gonna be the starter. Took all 1st team reps. KOC himself said they didn’t want to rush Mccarthy and wanted him to sit. 2) KOC has a quickly growing track record of elevating and getting the best out of every QB who plays for him. Kirk, Darnold, won games with Mullins and Dobbs who he literally was telling via headset what to do on each play. To say the organization gets no credit for Darnolds success is such a foolishly ignorant take
You don't think KOC didn't know what he could get from Darnold vs Cousins? Darnold has an obvious elite arm and more athleticism than Kurk. Darnold has played phenomenal at times. The Vikings have probably the best supporting QB staff in the league.
That’s a ridiculous take from Dan on Darnold, which tells me the national media really doesn’t pay attention to some teams at all. It was always the plan to start Darnold, most really good coaches in the league actually loved Darnold and thought he was just in bad teams. Kevin O. Has proven now that he can literally fix qbs. Every qb that he’s coached and played for the Vikings have had the best seasons and games of their careers. This isn’t luck or flukey. I don’t think any team in the league thinks that, just nfl elites like Dan Patrick
Vikings should absolutely get credit. There were so many teams clamoring to get Sam? Terrible take. And Aaron Roger’s had a good weekend? How do you have a show?
The one score effect in the league is exactly what the NFL wanted. They changed the kick-off rules to make it easier for offenses; especially weak team offenses. Gotta get all fans to tune in, buy merch, and fool them into believing their team has a slim chance in hell of making a difference. That's the key to it all.
You can trust Jared Goff to make that one play against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. He's done it twice against Mahomes with two different teams in Prime Time. Also, when you talk about running the ball first and changing how offenses do it these days, the Lions have to be included in that discussion. Detroit has led the change over the past three season where the gunslinger became more effective throwing the ball less and running when it was least expected. The Lions have been a Top 5 NFL offense 3 years straight.
Kansas City is a great team that’s not playing up to their potential yet are 12-1. Think maybe Big Red is holding something back for January or February?
Sooo...a few years back the running back was a dinosaur, don't need these players, why pay them. Now teams are re-realizing the value of the running back. Ground game has always been crucial for success. In a few years "we don't need WR's" then "we don't need RB's", "we don't need TE's", just stop.
not a great team! what makes a great team? i mean injuries and the offensive line are issues, but they have so many great players. dan doesn't know what greatness is. the chargers didn't have the personnel they made some good adjustments and were more physical than the chiefs on the line, other wise the chiefs win by 20 points.
Everbody jumped on that Cousin’s bandwagon (except me), and now they can’t get off it fast enuf (and join me). 😂 Dude is and always has been a stats chasing, very average qb. But he conned a whole lotta money out of some desperate teams.
The Chargers haven't beaten a team with a winning record, save one. The Denver Broncos. Are you really going to claim they can go far in the playoffs?? Seriously? Nah, ain't gonna happen. Same for Denver. Those weak schedules are created intentionally when a team loses numerous years in a row. It allows them to build a team, compete (hopefully), and prepare for a stronger schedule the following year.

You mad, bro?
@@tiredperson6574 - he doesn't sound mad to me. Are you petty?
@@MrRudy-vk7xx Tom Petty, actually.
My interest in any media figure’s take evaporates when they say “Darnold was going to be the backup” …
Dan comes off as an elitist with many of his NFL takes. This being one of them. Agreed this is an awful take.
SOTO HAD THE BEST WEEKEND
Yep DP missed it. Vikings had a plan with Darnold AND KOC knew what he was getting. He was two steps ahead and DP two steps behind.

Sam is having a lucky season if you look at his career. No where in his past did it show he could ball out like this. Stop being so ignorant son.
Please bring back the old stat of the day song.
They switch it up

Wrong... coach said early on that it would be an open qb competition. You fools act like Sam was coming off a mvp season.
Vikings should absolutely get credit. There were so many teams clamoring to get Sam? Terrible take. And Aaron Roger’s had a good weekend? How do you have a show?
Darnold has a blank slate, Dan didn't mention Sam. Sam has been clutch this season. 11-2.
Marvin is the Ben Simmons of this show.
Marvine is more about Nba and popular culture.
Sam was never going to be the backup to JJ
Why did the coach say it was going to be an open qb competition then?

Why all the close games if teams don't have a slim chance?

Not a "sexy" choice but you make a strong argument here. And good point about the balanced attack too.
These poll questions need to be better. It’s the same thing week after week. Get creative boys.
Sam was going to be the starter this year from the beginning even if jj dint get injured
yes longer clips
Josh =MVP
Puka reminds me of Steve Smith Sr.
The Steelers had another good week.
Kansas City is a great team that’s not playing up to their potential yet are 12-1. Think maybe Big Red is holding something back for January or February?
Or, they're about to lose in the first round. Who knows.
Give me a break

“Congratulations to the jets”😂
Also, I think chiefs secondary can get killed.

Puna is a big guy. But he's taking a beating
I think he should gain weight. 10 more pounds - 221lbs
The Jaguars won!
Everbody jumped on that Cousin’s bandwagon (except me), and now they can’t get off it fast enuf (and join me). 😂

Good for him! LOL! If they're willing to pay you an insane amount of money, by all means, take it!
No one on God’s green earth should care what Dan Patrick thinks about sports
Why you here then?

They've got a great defense, you never know come playoff time
Nope their tackles aren't good
Wow you have absolutely no football IQ.
Blocking this show, your takes are terrible.
My friend, you clicked on the video!
The takes are interesting, and well-articulated. It's just a show, bro. Just a show.
