      I disagree, it's a very relevant question. Sports isn't like regular work. I follow team sports a lot and many of the players form bonds that go beyond the court/pitch. I'm as surprised to find out they weren't friends at all when you see how they never tried to rival each other like with Kobe and Shaq.

    • @davidphillips1845
      @davidphillips1845 10 днів тому +6

      @fidelamoah9115 There are many people in lots of other professions that form bonds and friendships outside of work, and there are many who don't. I don't see what's so surprising that this is an example of someone who didn't. In any professional setting with 30 plus people there will be some you get along well with and others who are just co-workers. I played on several teams and this includes sports.

Scotty was a good ball player but I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shed. It appears the older he gets mentally seems like he's slowing down. People forget Scotty is a country boy from Arkansas that's not to say that everybody in the south is slow but low IQ is definitely a problem in the south financially speaking Scotty did not make good decisions concerning his professional basketball career. Heck, he was shown playing up wanting Jordan to come back to the Bulls in 1995 by wearing Jordan Xs, pointing to them and making a "come here" motion while smiling.
      The only hints to this being a cover are the fact he didn't send any condolences about Jordan's dad and he made a crude comment about taking over Jordan's locker when he retired in 1993.

      Even for interviews, you have to ask these questions about people you don't have a tight bondage with. Most people are more into the person they were with for most of someone's careers. It's the same with A-Rod and Jeter, but they tried to make it comfortable for themselves during that one interview with them together after they retired. It's like asking why Karl Malone elbowed Isiah Thomas or asking Dennis Rodman anything about Michael and the Jordan Rules. Scottie, in this environment, is a person more than an analyst, so it takes a good right to ask personal questions about a guy that you've played with for about 15 years or so. It doesn't take much to know that. I'd rather have him answer these questions because it brings transparency into 2 lives of 2 different people.
