She actually released two solo albums of her own. "I'm Your Girl Friend" in 1982, and "What's New" in 1996. Both are amazing in my opinion. The first one is more pop while the second one is a Jazz album.
I am 66 years old, living in Germany and I loved this song so much as it goes to Billboard #1 in 1974. This version with Dara is full of emotion and tears are running down my cheek when I see this.
I've always loved Neil Sedaka and all his songs, I still play them now especially this one. I heard this duet on my 'oldies' radio station last year for the first time and really loved it. Dara's voice is beautiful, I'm going to check out her records now. Thanks for posting.
I can't believe Dara didn't have a huge career in the 80s! She is such a great singer and her voice is so sweet and calming. Not to mention that she's cute as button! As for Neil, words are not good enough. Amazing singer, genius songwriter, and such a wonderful, positive presence! One of the true greats, right up there with the best of them and arguably better than most!

And then Dara did Your Precious Love and Cathy's Clown on Come See About Me. And then Dara did Sweet Dreams of you and The Good Times on The Good Times album. And Dara did My Girl, Beautiful You, and a 7 inch single version of The Good Times song too.
She's been blonde for years now, I think she still looks beautiful as a blonde but yes she was very pretty with her dark hair. When I met her in 2018 she had blonde but I think it suits her these days.
