It is yesterday! Didn't listen to Maceo's performance since I was there, now 30 yrs later, I remembered the setlist and screamed my lungs out , affordlessly jumping from beginning to end.. it was engraved in my soul , that weekend.. Don't you remember the hurry ? And the stress to choose which band to go see, because they played at the same time, sometimes overlapping, so everybody had to run trough the halls and hallways... Best night ever, and I've been there every year since 1982, so you're spot on right !!! I never went to Rotterdam anymore, because of the bad sound , and the horrible line ups...
I feel incredibly privileged to have witnessed Jamiroquai’s first show in Brazil! Back then, hardly anyone knew the band, which made the experience even more special. The atmosphere was electric with so many celebrities around. It was like living in a dream!
Yeah. I was born in 91... 15 years later when i was in my teens the music started going the wrong way. By the time i got to my early 20's and discovered all these artists, Jamiroquai, Prince, Santana, Chick Corea, Sade , Incognito and so many others... Just when i started discovering my true taste in music it also came with the fact that they are much older than me and mostly don't perform live anymore. Now i'm 33 and watch all these concerts on youtube and get the goosebumps and tears of joy and sadness at the same time. If there's one good thing about the internet, this must be it. Thanks to all the people involved in recording, preserving and uploading all these amazing concerts
this guy single handedly got me into this kind of music....he put me through a rabbit hole im still going through till this day. been with him since i was 14 in 95...what an underrated legend!
i was 13 in 95 and used to listen to ROTSC on tape while skateboarding. Hard to describe how cool of an album that was back then, great times, great music in the UK back then, lucky to be around.
One of the best Jamiroquai shows ever...and with a special appearance by the late great Amp Fiddler on keys. Wow - their golden period and not a mobile phone in sight!😉
"not a phone in sight" comments are so asinine and obnoxious. Of course there wasnt, but it wasnt by choice, they literally didnt exist. People really choose to believe if they had smart phones in the 60s every single person in the crowd wouldnt have been filming Hendrix on stage. It's just a cope for older generations to feel superior to the younger one. Take it from a man in his mid 40s, hating on younger generations doesnt make you feel any younger 😂
I went to a show on the 11th and was shocked because it was a crowd of older people. Like everyone pushing 40 and up, no phones, no recording. People just in the moment and enjoying the music. It was great. Felt like the 90s again
Older people in general aren't trying to impress people on social media so you won't see older people recording much at concerts. We like to focus on the music
Look, I also love the current lineup of Jamiroquai with Matt, Rob and Paul, but THIS here was the real Jamiroquai. Toby, Simon, Stu, DJ D-Zire and the beasts that are Adrian Revell and Martin Shaw in the brass section (and Winston Rollins, but he wasn't here). Not only were they so tight at jamming, but they truly brought out the best in each other's capabilities. Paul is phenomenal and all, but Stu and Derrick was such an otherworldly combo. Also, wtf, this is the first time that I saw Martin "help out" with the Synthesizer at 51:28. Wtf 😂? Thanks for uploading this!
0:00 - Revolution 1993 4:50 - Blow Your Mind/Light Years/Who the Funk do you think you are 18:21 - Emergency on Planet Earth/Scam 28:20 - Journey to Arnhemland 34:17 - Sunny (Stevie wonder cover) 38:08 - Stillness In Time 44:50 - Just another story 53:40 - Don't Stop The Feeling (Roy Ayers cover) 1:00:12 - Space Cowboy May have missed something, please comment below with any fixes!
I never knew that Amp Fiddler was playing the Moog during Space Cowboy. I have listened to the Audio version of this concert for a long time, but never seen the footage of Amp rocking that Moog. It sounds so good and his style really fits the song!
This was Jamiroquai at the highest point! With Toby Smith and Stuart Zender and Simon Katz and Derrick McKenzie - and the masters of the horn section! Unfortunatelly these times are over. Jay Kay looks completely different - and the sounds is just mainstream pop without any of the sophistication and the magic energy of the past. But at least we can enjoy these wonderfull clips! Thank you for sharing!
Nie znałam tego koncertu. Jestem pod wrażeniem. Bogactwo instrumentów, dźwięków. Jestem fanką od samego początku ( może 40 lat?). Ciągłe w formie. Dla mnie mega! ❤️
I've been following the band since 1995, being known on MTV. Since then I've never stopped listening to Jamiroquai. Anyone who knows me and listens to Jamiroquai always remembers me. I was recently in Paris (June) and Jamiroquai was playing in several places, including Galeries Lafayette, I'm an unconditional fan of the band, especially the sounds produced in the 1990s. How had I never seen this video before??? Spectacular
In some ways it's amazing that such an intensely musical outfit as Jamiroquai became so successful - but perhaps that's because the music media underestimates the good taste of the general public.
Zender is such a crazy B-player !!! I've heard him do session stuff and seen him perform, the only band that actually shows his talent is those guys having the mix of musicianship and poppy tune-smithism that suits his skills and affords him the space to do what he wants. Super original dude!
Great Show with the best Jamiroquai line up ever. They kept the same till their pick duriy Traveling without Moving Tour. My favorite track are scam and stillness in time for the solo scat vocals of JK . He did amazing for a person who is said to not playing any musical instruments and who never went to music theory school, he naturally masters the pentatonic and blues scale with his voices.Just transcribe what he does vocally into a saxophone or Guitar will get you flabbergasted. Off course ,cannot finish my comment withou mentioning Amp Fiddler (R I.P) who might have been recording actually Space Cowboy with band ib studio but not credited. A decade later he would tour, hang out and record with Stuart zender and Toni Allen
The golden era!!! Stuart, Toby and the DJ as well!! Loved the fusion performance with the scratches, Jay Kay singing in a jazzy manner and everything else!! Sad the band went totally commercial with the time.
RIP to this version of jamiroquia this lineup was magical circa 93-98 songs were soulfully revolutionary ... continue you cosmic journey Toby..Rip..
Удивительный бэнд !
Best line up ever at NSJ the Hague ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Almost thirty years ago....feels like yesterday. And the music remains so refreshing!

Brass section was ON FIRE. Martin Shaw absolutely killed it on the Trumpet. Bravo!
and briefly on keys!
simmm, que isso!! sensacional

I was 9, took me till 1999 to get into this kind of music and also the start of my journey into deep house.
First time hearing them and a very nice surprise to an old man not knowing they've been around for 30 years. Thank you kindly for sharing

This gig has my favourite ever version of Space Cowboy in it. RIP Amp Fiddler
Saw them live february '95 here in Vienna (Freakpower as support). What a throwback!
RIP Toby & Amp Fiddler.

2024 and this still sounds like yesterday ❤
Zender forever ❤
Rip Toby❤
I never knew this was recorded, one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, the place was literally steaming.

This is history!! I'd listened to this bootleg so many times, never knew there was the whole footage of this concert. Thanks for uploading that!
Everything is history.
That's dope... seeing this footage after listening so many times must be a special treat
same here !
Our pleasure!
@@quintessence3991 without being present nothing would be
The first year NSJ had a program not only filled with jazz. What a concert and treat it was! I was flabacasted ! This video shows why!
Amp Fiddler play with Jamiroquai !! Whooo 😮
RIP to him ! So much talent he have 😢
Praise the acid jazz gods! We finally have the full footage.
La mejor época de Jamiroquai, quiero volver allí 😢
Realmente la mejor!
The only one Jamiroquai band with Toby and….Zender🔥🔥

I love it how Mr. Martin Shaw chips in to play the Synth part in Just Another Story! This gig is on fire!
Questi non si chiamano concerti, si chiamano CAPOLAVORI !!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Great, the good old days in mine home town! Jamiroquai rules!
Saw them around 1995 in Glasgow Barrowland. Best Jamiroquai ever. Then around 1999. Wouldn't pay ticket price now as not worth it.
FINALLY!!! a good quality upload!
In some ways it's amazing that such an intensely musical outfit as Jamiroquai became so successful - but perhaps that's because the music media underestimates the good taste of the general public.
I’m not sure the general public has good taste anymore, BUT i’m glad these guys were/are very popular.
Cannot believe how good JK sounds. Absolutely superb
FANTASTIC musicians..all..talented Jason, does it all..scat, improv, good range..jazz singer!
Jamiroquai, funkin' OG.. 🙌🙏🥇
I deeply miss these years ........
…and then there was this incredible groovy, funky bass…♥️forever
I woulda been stoked to see this in 95! Didn't even discover them til like 2014, wth?! Love the groove!!!!!

Was there a sound engineer? What a bad mix, and the band looked upset about it! Can’t hear Stuart Zender, which is unbelievable!!!
Sounds like an audience recording
Yeah. Real shame.
Really a bad mix, what a shame!
Yes 🥹
Otherwise, I had to rebuild my whole home sound system for this audio delicacy, thanks for your attention 😜
the mvp of this concert was martin shaw!
Nice, nice. Спасибо
Blessed that i can say i was there. Best concert ever
Such a wonderful gift! 😍😍😍 I´d like to be there.....But I was happy to be in 2011 at show in Tallinn

Gee, what an audience, a band, and vibe!🌟 The singer? 🤔 He does not belong to this world✨Simply amazing💜🤘🎹❤
ese sonidista valio gaver en la primera parte del concierto
El bajo (el que debería destacar más en Jamiroquai) no se escucha >_

Incredible performance, interesting to see zender on a 4 string too!
Martin Shaw on the trumpet. So good!

Saw them in Sydney in 1995. This takes me back.

what a time to be alive.
At their peak here,superb
So for 30 years they’ve been regressing?
Martin Shaw on trumpet very good sound!
Jay was pissed at the mixer throughout the ENTIRE gig. could barely keep a straight face at times.
His monitor engineer wasn't giving him enough vocal in his wedge making it difficult to hear himself and pitch.
Jamiroquai was making music with this sounds and references before the Amy Winehouse-Adele era (love them tho)
Thanks for the upload!
J doing his block at the sound guy on the deck is missed golden content. Overall quite out****enstanding!
Wow, Stuart busting out the Alembic!
