I will always think Jamiroquai is underrated. Their music has so much meaning specially the first 3 albums. Also blows me away that they never tour in the U.S and how media doesn't recognize them as they should.

What you say is the truth. And at the same time, He still remains as important since so many years for the public and at the world level. Time speaks for him. About USA, mystery. A certain press took care of it? But he has a public in USA.

I agree, somewhat it's because of beeing in the shadow of Jay and the bass guitar (which has been always superb whoever was in the band atm). However, if you ever get a chance to listen to any INSTRUMENTAL version of Jamiroquai's songs, just do it. Suddenly, he shines soooo much, like this guy absolutely knew how to camouflage funk/jazz harmony into mainstream/pop-understandable progressions. Most importantly, as a musician is this sort of thing. I'm 46 and these guys were a few years older, they released this album when there was a sort of jazz funk revival. I learned modern harmony when I was at 6th form, got a rhodes stage 73, then 98, got a D6 clavinet and a hammond out of a crematorium and then a suitcase piano. These guys were important. Take a look at what Tom O Grady is up to on his suitcase 88. We all grew out of the same soil. Toby had an interesting take on harmony. It is sort of gospelly

just the name 'JAMIROQUAI' alone is world class. plus all of their great underground dance classics they produced in the beginning. i think that JAMIROQUAI will stand the test of time until the end of time. JAMIROQUAI is one of the best bands from england.

Over the last few years I’ve become an increasingly huge fan of L’Imperatrice (especially after seeing them live last year) and it’s so cool JK shares my interest! They’re a great band-and with their electronic/funk vibes I can see the crossover with Jamiroquai

Absolutely love Jamiroquai..:)) I'll always remember doing a sing-a-long puppet show-(around a door edge) to songs on the Traveling without moving album back when I was in University-(1997-1999) My audience, two of my flatmates, being in total hysterics as I performed, Alright, Virtual Insanity, High Times & Cosmic Girl. I mention this story, as that is 'exactly' what Jamiroquai means to me, just fun, laughter, enjoyment & pleasure. I was very lucky enough to see Faithless a few years back, and now getting steadily older & thankfully wiser-(some sadly don't) over the years, and then in a quite subtly way, 'fully realizing' how precious moments & people-(R.I.P. Maxi Jazz) are. It makes me think that Jamiroquai must 'definitely be' put on my 'tick list' of things to 'get done' before others events-(band splitting up,....death e.t.c...e.t.c.) come to pass. At a now middle-(hopefully)-ish age of 45, it really throngs more so in your back of your head the deeper grip of your own mortality. Thus I really need to use the NIKE slogan more often in life,...and 'Just do it!!'. Although it will have to be after my sisters wedding in May,....as 'getting to the white chapel in Vegas' ain't proving to be cheap...lol..:))
