ABOUT
Following in the footsteps of Jaco Pastorius, he plays the bass guitar extremely well, but ever since his CD release Scenes from My Life, the fans of Richard Bona also adore his voice. The troubadour from Cameroon sings in his mother tongue Douala - one of the two hundred Cameroon dialects - and with his music full of atmosphere he manages to enchant the audience. Although the lyrics are incomprehensible, the sound and the form of the music impress the listener all the better. Besides that the self-made multi-instrumentalist/singer Bona manages to shape his songs in an extremely delicate way. The compositions are beautifully structured and varied, and the gentle, dreamy African vocals offer all kinds of colorful sounds. But again, also on the bass guitar he is an absolute virtuoso. It’s hardly a surprise that Bona toured with Joe Zawinul, that he was the bandleader for Harry Belafonte and that he performed with the Brecker Brothers. Last year his CD Tiki was released, an album full of African and Brazilian influences.

RICHARD Bona is a legend, all respect from Morocco ❤
The keyboard guy is so insane! He is a true legend as well as Richard Bona.
Truly insane😂
Que delícia de música jazz
Marvelous!!!!!!
The mighty Rome Empire fell. This artist, Bona, has traveled across several countries to spread his love in the form of jazz music. I believe music is the tie that binds. It has a universal message. I can not help but believe that if the great and mighty Rome listened to jazz, they might still be standing.
ARE YOU A POETE
@ibrahimambodj698, yes. I'm a published writer who adores jazz. Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, I'm a published writer who loves jazz. I write for dough but I love DJ Sappire's shows.@ibrahimambodj6982

I feel like this is the peak of musicianship. All the players are insanely good! Richard is probably a god among us. Or an alien.
For me, is the best. 😍
There is no better or worse. There is just Music. Afro reggae rock jazz blues heavy pop latin flamenco etc etc. And Music is not better or worse than literature theatre painting. All is art and we must appreciate the whole Big diversity in life, except reggaeton!!
@@figleaf987I subscribe to that.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇸🇳👍 Jaajeuf
Some bass effects experts say something about the first effect he used. Anybody know what that effect was?
Pedal with processor that trigger sounds from presets of synthetiser, piano, guitar, sax, strings, etc
He used a midi signal converter (like Roland Gk3b) to play a synthesizer sound
👏👍💞💞💞🙏💞💞💞💕
list of topics, pls
And where is the percussionists
How come I never heard about this guy...?!?!?
You can tell me what you want. He is better than Jaco.
Those shoes...That are bapesta's. They are NOT 2 dollars hahaha. They are from Japan though ;)
Missing presence of drums and percussion…
