Love that he can quote the Bible. Shows his open mind.
Even Satan quotes the Bible. Quoting scripture does not make one holy. Run from this false belief you are in danger.
@@exodusmass4575 you missed the point. Its not about quoting: it's about living in the present - and how it connects to others, me and you.
@@exodusmass4575 using fear to manipulate others, right? you extremists never learn. No difference with muslim fundamentalists.
@@exodusmass4575 Oh man...
@@exodusmass4575 Satan is Maya. AntiChrist is what Christians need to worry about, fake Christians, like you. Who completely misunderstand scriptures.
Justice is Karma.
Sins are vasanas.
Christ is Gods human nature joined to our human nature.
The Holy Spirit is the enlightenment of the love of God.
Mary is Shakti, that’s why she’s a Virgin - the Void - the Ark.
The Church is sangha.
You’re probably a Protestant that thinks Luther was saving “real” Christianity while he murdered people by sawing them in half.
Peter - Petra’s is Putras - one of the Buddhas disciples.
The 70 that translated the Greek was the Buddhist/Pythagorean sect that was being hunted by Jews and Romans.
The Dance of Salome when John was beheaded is the sacred temple Asura Kali Dance - the metaphor is he spilled wine in the temple and gets beheaded for his transgressions - ie: he didn’t pull out.
You know nothing of the Mysteries let alone Satan.
Your poor modern western mind would melt if you knew the 1st century Christian’s looked more like the Aghori than they do the McChurch you probably attend.
I am a Christian and meditating with Thay and sangha has made the bible much more understandable for me. I have always felt the love of Jesus as the strongest love ever in my life. Through retreats at plum village the teaching of Jesus became much more concrete for me. To feel Jesus' love is not that hard (in my experience but thats personal). But to live by such a divine love is what we all could do to make the world a better place...how to live and love as Jesus did. the level of compassion at plum village munks and nuns is so touching and so real. and their excercises to do so are so beautiful and applicable. It brought me closer to Jesus. I will always be thankful for this. I love that Gods truth is inclusive, not exclusive. As I heard He is Alpha and Omega. so we are reminded never to judge others or say we are the only true faith excluding everyone else. I believe we are one in True faith. when I am True in my faith I am one. one inside. and one with everything. only one in True faith. not half not 75% but 100%. This is my personal explanation of choosing one true faith. Being one in True faith. the kingdom of God is justice and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. I see no difference in the buddhist description of enlightenment. Isnt that beautiful? Thay is very near in my heart. I am so grateful. He brought me closer to Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ is my saviour. This pure love of the Holy Spirit is our saviour and it can perform miracles if we turn to the Holy Spirit. And I believe we still can transform through this and save our beautiful Earth. If we become one /if we all learn to feel this unity that all life is holy. I hope we can inspire eachother. Amen.
Jesus said i am the way , but church said its the only faith , remmember that religion is what cruscified christ . Its not a religion its a way . Pick up the cross and follow him , i combine awareness and prayer at the same time , in orthodoxy its called nepsis and hesichya
I came here from John Butler, who is saying much the same from a Christianity perspective. Explaining heaven as becoming one with a unifying energy, and not a bar where you meet up with old friends. Buddhism works very well as the underpinning of many religions. Buddhism gets to the point, without the extra stories that are added to suit taste and desire to control.
"Religions are many, but the reality of religion is one. The days are many, but the sun is one." ~ Abdu’l’Baha, Baha'i Faith
@Michelle Antao It's not universal at all.
THank u. I am Catholic and I also embrace Buddhism. Buddha to me is a great saint and sage and should be recognized as a saint. NAmaste

Marta eyore I am with you in your belief the truth have no label label's are a hindrance to the independent understanding of truth and produce hateful prejudices in the mind
Literally claimed you're your own God and there is no God so no
Same I ignore most Buddhist theology but I love Buddhist meditation and deletion of desire and attachment

For who.. God?
Couldn't hear a word she said......but did hear his answer. I agree there is no conflict between Christianity and the Buddhist philosophy.

As a christian ( not chatolic but Evangelical who have left the organised prison of churchianity) Isee no conflict with what this teacher is saying. As he speaks, scriptures from the Bible just keep pooping up in my mind constantly backing him up. I love the progressive nature of Buddhism that encourages more learning and keep the mind open. Unlike Christianity that has a set doctrine and a closed sealed book the Bible that can not be challenged and interpreted freely. I feel very comfortable here. Lovely.
johneleven25 it's also pretty hard to ignore that some of the Bible has done clear parallels to Buddhist scriptures. Doesn't mean it is solely derived from it. But the similarities are too profound to ignore the influence.
By prison you mean authority. No wonder there are 40,000 protestant churches.
Google “which church did Jesus start?” Catholic....mike drop!!!!
Christ, God, was pushing for a more honest personal way of faith and believing - and not the hypocritical, evil acceptance, organized prison, tax exempt, money corrupted Pharisee nonsense we see now.
@@johnyang1420 correct, but it is definitely a den of thieves within. the hard part to ask, is how to practice your faith - within such a monumentally corrupted church?
It is very enlightening teaching in defining that Buddhism is made by non-buddhist elements. Tomorrow is taken care by today work and that is why when you think about tomorrow you lose today and but how to deal with today by tomorrow way is best way to avoid past painful experience
'What a beautiful rainbow!' This is a spiritual experience which takes place in the life of every human being.
She is a lovely, young woman but I can not hear a word that she is saying.
n nobody there gave her suggestion to rise her voice volume nor rise d microphone......
That's what the cc close caption is for. But you have probably figured that out by now
When you listen to his answer you should have a good idea of what the question was about
Beautiful! Thank you Thay.
I love him.
Thich nhat han is a man of god
I love Buddhist meditation techniques on nothingness but I usually ignore most of its theology
When done like this it helped me let go of everything and follow Jesus
There's plenty of meditation techniques found in Catholicism and Orthodoxy, like hesychasm, rosary, and prayer rope. The key difference is that these techniques focus the mind on the mysteries of God rather than nothingness.
@@tr1084 The whole existence is mysterious...
Why reject one great teacher for another why not accept them all? I have no preference to great wisdom I've learned so much great advice from Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Muhammed, and the Torah
There are many teachers but only One True God.
Truth is truth, no matter who says it.
Dankeschön 🌼🌸🌺so schön erklärt 🙏

Mindfulness meditation is rooted from Buddhism & Hinduism. The technique can be effective for psychological health if done properly with the faith of Christ. I don’t use this method but similar by staying silence to communicate with God.
Truth.
I would like but 111 fits nicely
Christ the eternal tao is a great book that i didnt read yet 🤣 there is a qoute from meister echkart , he said while theolodians argue , mystics speak the same languange ❤️🙏☦️

Jesus was not a Christian. We made him a Christian. They all thought us to live Righteously. For a better been in after life
Wonderful, The Bhufda was also not a Buddhist. They both were Wonderful teachers of truth.
I think he was Christ Christian because he was the messiah.
What a buddha can know from below is seen indistinctly as in a mirror (1 Cor. 13:12), that is, in creation and in his/her own soul.
Enlightenment is a candle to the sun.
"He that cometh from above is above all. He that is of the earth, of the earth he is, and of the earth he speaketh. He that cometh from heaven is above all." (John 3:31)
"And no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father: and who the Father is, but the Son and to whom the Son will reveal him." (Luke 10:22 ; cf. Matthew 11:27)
[Admonition: "I have not written to you as to them that know not the truth, but as to them that know it: and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. He that confesseth the Son hath the Father also." (1 John 2:21-23)
Buddhism deserves to be redeemed. But mere Enlightenment is of the world.]
The Buddha shall rise in judgment with this generation and condemn it, because he followed his conscience and was faithful to the lights he was given (cf. Matt. 12:42 ; Luke 11:31).
And behold greater than Buddha here.
Greater than all things whatsoever man can be or do: "But as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name. Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, *nor of the will of man* , but of God." (John 1:12-13, emphasis added)
Emmanuel - God with us - preparing the world for the Salvation of His Cross from the moment of man's fall, down through Abraham, Isaac, and the nation of Israel.
The Word was with God and was God from the Beginning. "And the Word was made Flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His Glory...."
Jesus the Christ is God. He was crucified. He rose from death.
He has something to say to you, as many as receive Him....

Why are the evangelical counting corpses using the bible as a springboard to perform somersaults to do the exact opposite of "love their neighbors" and "treat others like they want to be treated"?
Answer. This is sick. Because these simple concepts are too far out there to grasp for vampires (greed).
Heaven is a state of being, here on Earth in this life. Expecting to go to either heaven or hell after death means you have been mislead in this life.
After reading multiple books of Padre Pio, I disagree.
Who cares
