Love this! These sort of videos have been massive for my ability to improve on the court. Ever since finding your channel the way i think on the court has changed so much and with it the wins started to come in a way they just didn't before.

Great video as usual! Thanks Sandy! I played against a solid left handed player last week and found my usual strategy not working as well as expected (the middle was impossible!) Let me know if you have any tips thereabouts. cheers!

Yes, I need to work on a "leftie" video, that is something that has come up alot!

The Padel School No! Please not a ‘leftie’ video. Then my opponents know how to play against me... 😉 Thanks for a very helpful video again Sandy! 👍🏼

Excellent! This deals directly with an issue I have with a couple of players I come up against - tennis players who are not particularly mobile on the padel court, but who employ a very accomplished low topspin drive from the back of the court! I tend to try to cut them off at the net but, as you say, you don’t have much time to react to the direction of the shot I KNOW is coming. I guess I need to back off a little, to be in a position to pick up the bajada opportunity, not drift too close to the net. Incidentally, the players I have in mind use the same technique to return serve, and I’ve found that taking the pace off a sliced serve reduces their opportunity, makes them move forward into the box and lift into the net zone! Thanks again, great video!

Thanks! Exactly, I have a few students that find it very difficult letting the ball go passed them, but especially against fast topspin it inevitably comes back and is much easier to hit! Changing the rhythm of the shots is also a good strategy against this! :)

Thanks for great videos! I would like to see the shots a few times being played as in a match. Some different angels in this case would be helpful. :-)

What do you suggest for the hard bajada? when i lob my direct opponent, i tend to follow close to the net to block the shot. My partners stays in the back in case the bajada is crossed.

This is a good question and depending on your level, but most of the time you want to come together to the net to try and block the ball. The aim here is to keep the net off this aggressive shot, so just blocking that ball back into space is a good objective...
