- This is a more in-depth video for the intermediate and advanced players to understand the reactions of spins with the single and double glass.
If you understand how the ball will rebound you can make sure you get yourself in the right place - anticipation is crucial when defending these shots!
If you are looking for technical videos on how to play with the glass you should check out the Walls Course here: thepadelschool.com/padel-wall...

Great video as always! It's great to see small clips with actual plays of what you are talking about.
I would like to add another layer to the skill of anticipation which is based on the shot that YOU played, you can actually tell what shot options your opponent has and then go from there. Anticipation (while defending and attacking) really is one of the hardest skills to master!
Completely agree! Practice needed in that area!
Great explanation about Ball rotation and what is meanings in terms of rebounds, position... Congratulations
glad you enjoyed!
Great video, I always enjoy how precise the explanations are! I knew most of this stuff but it's good to refresh the mind :)
Great to hear! Always nice to refresh :)
New to this channel and truly have the Padel bug! The style of this video was fantastic. It’s great to see the real world examples in play and also the digital effects your are using to illustrate the ball flight. I can imagine this kind of video takes quite some time to pull together, but I can assure you we appreciate the effort! 💪🏼
Thank you for being a new subscriber!! Hope all the videos provide some value!
Thank u for your great videos, getting started with padel and you have been a gold mine of tips!! Please keep doing videos for newbies like me!
Thanks, will do!
Excellent video Sandy. I especially like the graphics showing where the ball will end up. Very well illustrated.
Happy to help your game Barry ;)
Really really great video, the draws and coloured zones regarding each type of effect and side is amazing in order to clearly understand every situation
Thank you very much!
Top notch Sandy, just what I needed!
Happy to be of service! :)
such a great video
Great, glad you think so - thanks
Another great video Sandy!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome Video. For me, the hardest spin to predict is the one where the opponent purposely hits the ball against their own side wall. When it comes from the right-hand wall, it has the reverse spin of the vibora of right-hand players, massive amounts of spin that makes it skid on the sidewall, but after that, if it reaches the back wall, it will come to the center of the court very aggressively. It is hard to predict and control, even if you are well positioned and can volley it from the front of the court.
Keep it up Sandy!
Great point and that is a tricky ball - really important to hit that volley with intention. If you just put the racket there the spin gets hold and it can go anywhere!
Thank you so much for for the video sandy. Helped me already so mutch. Appreciated
Thats what I'm here for - happy to help!
The channel is so underrated, thanks alot for your efforts
I appreciate that, thank you!
Can't belive you don't have more subs. You definetly deserve at least 10 times more. Keep the work up!
Thanks!! Hopefully they will come!! :)
really great video ❤ , but you don't mention how to defend slice plz ?
Really helpful, answers a lot of questions for a relative novice such as myself. Thanks a lot
Happy to help! :)
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sandy ! Great video as always. Are you back in the UK? Vamos
I am now Joacim!!
Hi Sandy, great video! Can you make a video on how to slice?
This one might help - but focusing on volleys: ua-cam.com/video/beCBmpCjyVA/v-deo.html
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent video. Novice players cannot deal with slice or side spin. As soon as you step up a level they know how the ball will react. I still win a lot of points with a severe slice backspin off the back glass. Most players just don't expect it.
Yeah, it can be tricky to get used to defending that - but prepare for the next level of player who might find it easier ;)
Golden video
Thanks for the support 🙏
Superb video bro
glad you enjoyed!

Yes
Yes!
Which padel shoes do you use Sandy? They look really comfy!
Adidas ubersonic at the moment!
I struggel with the high lobs that just drops at the back wall or in the corner. The ones that stays very close to the wall.
Yep, the key is recognising that ball early enough!
When to step in to the field (or not) and where I should be standing if I do when my opponent plays an overhead
Hopefully the defending the smash video with Galan helped??
I love you videos ! Can you give some tips how to hold the racket the right way ?
Yes of course!
one of my favourite shots is to hit a very hard topspin after faking a slice for a waist high ball, they often try block it and it just goes off court. Works wonders when trying to condition the opponent (for my level ofc)
Good to disguise and a good tactic - and importantly you realise it is for that level and you might need to adapt later on! Nice :)
@@ThePadelSchool thanks a lot Sandy! Also, the animations for the ball trajectories were of great help to illustrate your explanations, great video!
I had a game where the opponents (both right handed) hit side spins to the different direction. Really had a hard time seeing which is which and defending after the back glass. Any tips?
If both are right handed then usually their options are sidespin that kicks right (like the video) and slice which stays low - It is highly unlikely to hit sidespin the other direction round the ball. So you just need to watch their action and try to predict which of those 2 it is...
Tyrion explaining Padel 😍
Hahaha
”Lefty sidespin from a right handed player, either serve or a volley
Difficult to get the hang of, but once you receive it enough you will find it easier!
I find difficult to play Padel in winter
hopefully you can find some indoor courts near to you!
I have never have enough time to breathe let alone think about my next shot sandy
😂 Keep going Martin!
