my mind has been blown, never doubted my boy the sora 4k, went from asking in the comment if its even considered an options to watching it win the best mouse of 2023 award, can't wait to purchase that shjt
The Haste 2 wireless has considerable latency. It's so bad that even a casual gamer like myself can notice the difference between the Haste 2 and other gaming mice like the XM2we and Aria 7.
Yeah I have looked at the sensor latency numbers on rtings and its pretty bad. What's crazy though is the wired version has literally the 2nd lowest sensor latency of any other mouse they have tested on the market. Only being beaten by the #1 spot the viper mini SE. Shows how important the wireless implementation is. They can really mess it up.
I bought the storm breaker about 6 months ago. Don't exactly know if it came out this year, but I doubt it. Anyways, it's been really good. I was very worried about quality control. But everything's still working and it's a very comfortable light mouse. I mainly got it for my military sims, but what I ended up liking best for it was my racing Sims. I have a keyboard tray on my rig. And I really need to put an end cap on it cause every time I swing it in and out, the mouse falls to the floor, and the storm breaker takes every hit with ease. But I haven't tried any of the mouses that made your top 5.
Yeah i definitely agree the downside of the Thorn are the switches. If they wouldve used Omron opticals or mechanical ones from Huano it would have made it lot better imo. Other than the switches its pretty great, the coating is one of the best, matte but not grainy. Its grippy and doesn't get greasy. It feels bit like a ping pong ball coating.
I'd love to see a review of the WLMouse Beast X. I know smaller finger-tip mice aren't really your thing, and that's OK! For me it's easily the best release of 2023.
Honestly no mouse this year topped the lamzu atlantis mini for me. The thorn is nice but I really fell out of love with ergos. My wlmouse is arriving this week though so we will see.
Personally, I wouldn`t include haste 2 at all because it is a really problematic mouse. Starting with the random dpi reset issues and ending up with a weird tracking problem. Just returned both black and white with the same issues. Also, while the white version was just perfect in terms of build quality, scroll wheel and switches feeling, the black one was... just awful. As a user of the original haste for a year I can also admit that the scroll wheel`s lifetime is about half a year since these two were bought because my second copy of pulsefire haste 1 broke. I barely decided to go with a DAv3 pro and hope when it arrives I won`t be upset with it as with my favorite-shaped mouse from HX.
I really agree with you about the Pulsefire Haste 2. I love the switches and shape and coating. I just wish it didn’t have significant motion delay and very bad CPI deviation. If HyperX would ever fix those things, it would be my main.
besides using battery’s, i have to say the viper v3 was my top pick for this year. shape and clicks are perfect for me, buying usb c rechargeable battery’s and a 2a to 3a adapter makes this mouse so op. especially if you get the bundle with the 4k dongle. 95€ in germany, can’t be better than that
What's the total weight, have you measured it? Just being curious here - as my own Viper V3 is using dot feet and an Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA battery and it's around 73 grams
@@phucnguyen0110 around 60grams, you can shave off good weight just by getting those battery converters. or you can try it out just by putting some aluminium foil piece between a normal AAA battery and the contacts. (as a tiny ball)
Changed 3 hyperx pulsfire haste 2(wired) because of really bad quality of scroll wheel AND on my 4th hph2 the same issue (each mouse after 2 month: while browse surfing, image just starting to jump both ways while scrolling up/down)
Lamzu thorn would be the best mouse for me if it wasn't for the terrible battery. At 2k the battery drains in 20 hours of use when lamzu Atlantis og v2 holds twice as much
I think it has some firmware issues with higher polling. Since it drains fast even on standby if you're using anything above 1k. 1k lasts over a week in moderate/heavy use.
yesterday I got lamzu thorn fnatic edition and is fantastic,I feel very comfortable better even than dav3,more lighter and also the ergo shape is better for me ....next purchases finalmouse and beastX
Agreed on how poor Thorn switch is. I love the shape but the switch isn't as crisp as mechanical switches. Not to mention the different sound between M1 and M2 are very noticeable and M1 is less crispy than M2 for my unit. However, customer support said there's no QC issue in my unit. They did offer to send a new one if I it back to them.
Hello, thanks for the video and effort. I enjoy the format and would like to see more videos in the future. One thing that surprised me is that the super light 2 didn't make the top 5 despite having industry leading latency and sensor accuracy.
My top 3: Sora/Stormbreaker/HTX. But I haven't tested the Thorn or the XLite v3 ES. But so far I love these mice. I agree on the Sora 4K and I bought two: a white and a pink one. Such an amazing mice and my main one currently.
my lamzu thorn developed a popping/creak within a week and i'm very careful with mice. Battery life is also really poor compared to every other mice I've owned. Shape is amazing though, so it's frustrating.
is there any chance I can have your superlight 2, Ive been trying to find something thats gonna fit my small hand well. recently been disappointed in a product ive bought and now back on the (what I would consider) *The super large* deathadder v3
Hyperx PSFR Haste 2 has issues w/ the scroll wheel (at least the wired version). Lots of jitter in many samples. Especially mine. I cannot use the scroll wheel for that reason.
Hey I have trouble with choosing my new mouse. I'm currently using Zowie S2 which is my first and only gaming mouse I've owned. I was looking at Ninjutso Sora 4K and LAMZU Atlantis V2 4K, and I just don't know which one should I buy. My hand size 20x10cm
I bought a Lamzu Thorn (Fnatic) after seeing your review. The only mouse I could see replacing it is a wireless SteelSeries Rival 310. Which will never happen.
This year I have checked few mice, found out what I like and dislike. The endgame for me is pulsar x2v2 mini. Mainly I use fingertip. The size and shape is perfect. It's light, has best sensor and decent switches. I like also the sleeper design - it looks like office mouse. Planning to buy ergo next year as until now I have completly ignored that part of the market. I will be choosing between xlite v3 and thorn.
Was wondering if it's possible to switch the polling rate on the Sora 4K? I guess it is, because sounds strange to me to keep it at 4000 Hz at all times. Tried to find the info, but it's not obvious. I'd actually like to use 1000 Hz when not gaming to preserve battery.
my favorite is the lamzu thorn. i also like the haste 2 but the wired version, because it is 8g lighter and the calbe feels almost like a wireless mouse and it has imo the best clicks
the xlite v3s arrived too late, they'll be the next review so i'll be able to decide if they'd make the list. the x2v2 didn't do anything special to deserve a mention on here
