    I am so thrilled to share with you guys my Bangkok Tour clips and ofcourse my sketchbook. I was In Bangkok for work but I also allotted time for tour and to make some paintings. The only made-in-Bangkok painting there is my Wat Arun. The rest are painted in my room here in my home country. I hope you enjoy and follow this series where I will go to India, and Singapore.

    Thank you for kindly sharing your adventures of Bangkok, during your few hours of personal time, while on a business trip. How exciting for you. Your paintings are splendid whether painted 5 -100 meters from your subject or at home on your desk. You caught the essence of Thailand beautifully and you will have these memories to cherish for years to come. The food looked delicious and I'm excited to see your next videos, especially shopping for art materials. Once again, thank you for sharing your trip with us. 🙏😀

    Late to comment as usual - but I'm now down the Allan Jay Quesada youtube rabbithole, thanks to your amazing brand comparison paintings, and now this delicious brass palette which I can't take my eyes off... Are you loving it? Any changes you would make to it?

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  Рік тому

      Hiii Lisa. 👋 hahaha. Thank you too. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. 😊 i am loving the palette really. I'm using it for this book project with 100+ paintings and some colors have started to show the bottom of palette. The blues in particular. But still so much more left could last months. Change? for the color selection? Hmmm. Im loving everything so far. But since I'm not a huge user of the mid red perylene red (i think its the least used color here) im thinking it can be a candidate for a change.. which color to substitute.. maybe Quinacridone Coral. ☺️

    Nice vid..... Kuya, tanong ko lang..... Yung quality po ba ng watercolor paper is nagbabago pag tumatagal?.... Meron po kasi akong dinrawing na ipipaint ko. Dinrawing ko sya sa canson watercolor paper.... After a year, pipintahan ko na sana nagulat ako bat parang naging ordinary paper sya?.... Parang papel na madaling mabasa tas mabilis nyang hinihigop yung pigment kaya di maikalat sa papel?...

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 роки тому

      Hello. Yes po. Nagbabago ang quality ng most paper in time due to many reasons.. pag lower quality ng paper, mas susceptible sila sa mga issues like humidity, dust, etc. Kaya dapat din maingatan ang mga stock na paper. Hanggat maari naka balot sila and if kaya, may dehumidifier. Ang na test kong paper na hindi nagbago in time is ubg Arches ko. Meron akong stock na 15yrs na nakatago. Same quality parin. Naka balot lang siya sa plastic.

    I don't get it. You went through all the trouble of saving receipts to claim this as a business expense only to paint inside at a desk anyway. Why?

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 роки тому +4

      Uhmm.. i also don't get your question. What "trouble of saving receipts?" "Claim as business expense"? My boss paid for the flight and other expenses. I paid for my personal tours. I went to 3 countries for work, not entirely related to this content. And those activities were not all documented. I was busy actually that time. And the extra time I took was more to appreciate the sights. Painting at the resto is one bonus. Painting in my home desk is also a spare time. During business tours, appreciating sights for free is the bigger luxury. Sharing the experience through this vlog is my way extending the joy i had.

      @@AllanJayQuesada I don't care who paid. I didn't mean it that way at all. One should write off what they can when they can. I do. I said go to the trouble of saving... because it is a pain in the butt. Which is worth it competently when one receives joy. How that explains that. Nothing harsh was meant by the phrasing of the question. I simply meant it is a passion and why go through it is one isn't going to plein air? Or I guess they are calling it urban sketching these days. I assumed by the video you went for the urban sketchers thing then didn't urban sketch. That's why I asked why. Not to be harsh just to understand.
      I guess today it is the immediate reaction to be defensive or assume everyone is attacking but I promise it wasn't meant that way.

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 роки тому

      @@phillipstroll7385 that's why I also asked you. 😊 well, it is one of the reasons why I made it clear in the video and thr title that it is not a pleinair vlog. There are many reasons why doin a pleinair wasn't possible. 1. Time. 2. It was 38degrees atleast. 3. Temples won't permit staying too long or even to photograph or camcord. 4. I preferred to enjoy the moment by sight seeing than painting.
      But even having these reasons and limitations said, it still made the tour and sketches worth the time. The essense of the sketchbook the remains the same for me, done through pleinair or at the desk.
