    I'm so jealous, the job, the travel, the beautiful paint from all over the world. I live in the rural U.S. and the closest real art supply store is ridiculously far away. Of course I shop online, but its not the same as touching the the beautiful art supplies in the store. However I must remind myself that I do get to paint, and teach art as part of my job. Amazing! Of course I live vicariously through your lovely video. Thank you and 😉 Enjoy, looks amazing!

      Hi elli. Few years back, i never thought this "job" would come. It happened just so quickly. The fact that you recognize your beautiful job or teaching art is great gift. If time permits, you definitely should have a travel with art hauls in a go. It is true that touching in person the materials and getting to choose live is a different experience compared to online that was why i was really excited. Thank you for enjoying the video. Happy painting. 😊

    What a blast, great to visit those with you, thanks ! Didn't know there were such great shops in Bangkok :) and so many brands I never heard of. By the way, did you try the Mairtini watercolor brand ? It's from China, and can't find any review on them. I'm waiting for a set I ordered (the one with planets name -double pigments) on Aliexpress. Have a good day ! 🌸

      Hi Iris. Yeah I myself got jelous that Bangkok feels like they have more art stores than the Philippines. Haha. I have heard i think of Martini. Im not sure if it's the same. I see it in Aliexpress and if i remember correctly it is advertised as Japanese. Im not sure. I hope i could try it too when extra funds come. 🙏

    Hope that in Singapore you can visit Straits Art! I got my Old Holland tubes from there. You can also get really interesting paint brands at Krafer's Paradise; check out Kusakabe's take on gouache!
    Am excited to see how the ST Art paints turn out!

      Hiiii. I did this tour from May to June actually. Yes for Straits Art and Krafters Paradice. Straits is definitely my favorite as they cary the most artist grade brands in one compact place, plus their DS is
      almost US price. The sellers there are very accommodating as well. At Krafters, I got som mor3 Maimeri. Sadly i forgot returning for Kusakabe..but there's always next time.

    You were very restrained in your art material shopping. If I was there I would have left with no less than a shipping container of art supplies...I wouldn't go for an art supply haul but for an art supply hoarding! lol

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 роки тому +3

      Hahaha. Yes. I was kind of restraining my haul because I was yet to visit 2 more countries, India and Singapore. Haha. I was actually saving the excess baggage for Indian paints that are cheaper. For a spoiler, from the 20kg baggage allowance I had leaving my country, i went home with 45kg already combined from Bkk, SG and India, yet that was still very much restrained. 🤣 I had to send home in advance some items including books, gifts and souvenirs. I bought another luggage for the excess specially paints that I hesitated shipping in advance. It was stressful to upgrade baggage limits especially local flights in India. Good thing it was not as expensive as I was expecting. 😊

    • @creativecolours2022
      @creativecolours2022 2 роки тому +1

      @@AllanJayQuesada What did you buy that weighted that much?! 20 kilos of watercolour tubes or perhaps paper? That is what it is worth buying at such countries. Paper.
      I'm obsessed with paper and that is what I prefer buying. Not that much paints because I make my own too and I'm not falling any more for whatever new is marketed. But high quality art paper is my thing.

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 роки тому +1

      @@creativecolours2022 yes you're right. I also got some papers and pads from India. Cotton pads are cheap there. And yes, paints. I got full range colors of Silpakorn Pradit and Wichitrong from Bangkok and all the 48 colors of Indian paint 20ml each plus other sets. I also received from ceramic and brass gifts from friends there. It's a month of travel from 3 different countries so a little bit of something from each place added up to the double weight. Hehe
