    The fact it can sound so 70s and yet so late-90s at the same time is a testament to how good of a song it is. That huge drum track has a great dance pulse to it, the mad brass popping off everywhere, stabby keys, big guitar strikes. It’s like the best parts of glam rock and 90s Madchester were combined in a lab and just distilled to make a damn great four minutes of pop music.

    • @jordansupport1923
      @jordansupport1923 2 роки тому +4

      @doctorwhat The brass, of course! Listening to old 70s tracks (esp KC & The Sunshine Band) brass was riddled through 70s music. A couple of New Romantic bands had a bit of sax (Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran) but screaming trumpets disappeared by the 80s. It's the magic ingredient in Let Me Entertain You ... well, that and the frantic pace it sets.

    • @Ragnarok_494
      @Ragnarok_494 Рік тому

      Chord progression is the same as Sympathy for the Devil by Rolling Stones, might explain the old-time feel. 90s sounded new but looking back a lot of their music was taking older styles from the 70s and 60s like reggae and funk and modernising it with digital sound. After the synth-heavy eighties it certainly sounded like a breath of fresh air

      Very few ppl understand synchronizing. All the others became buskers who dont know that and ppl became rock stars who know that. The biggest deal is not to play the same scrap, but be different!!

    • @borisnahalka3027
      @borisnahalka3027 Рік тому

      why sound of 70s? because it is a J.CH.S. song with a different make up. and a different chorus. just listen to it and you could be singing: "every time I look at you I don't understand..." And I don't think it is a coincident, it is very deliberate.

      This would work very well as a rock song! Nirvana, Green Day and Iron Maiden are Rock, Busted are kind of Rock like the Offspring now but when Busted first came out they watered down and to some were known as one of the Boybands with Guitars like Mcfly, who were a little bit heavyish for a bit with songs like "Here's another song for the Radio" later on Busted were rocking out their hits like What I Go To School For and other songs like The Offspring in Comparison when they first came out, proving what great Rock songs they made, even though the songs were watered down at first to appeal to 13 and under Teenage Girls but were still the kind of tunes and songs that worked as Rock songs and Appeal to Adults to, certain songs by Robbie Williams such as this work Awesome as Rock and are kind of Middle of the Road meets Rock meets Pop and this is has more Rock Edge then Busted when they first came out, and Busted got more Edgy in 2016 when they got back together! :~)

    I remember dancing without a care in the world to this song while I was at primary school - my teacher would play music while we ate our lunch waiting for the bell to ring so we could go into the playground to play. Robbie has one of the best music videos on the world. Whenever he finds a topic to his clip, he becomes the person he plays in 100%. Of course always adding a piece from himself usually as a joke.
    This video is based on Kiss band but Robbie's dance is modern and don't remind moves from 70's or 80's. Thats the joke and thats the fun.

    The similarity of words is astounding Among musicians,
    *Hell is gone and heaven's here
    There's nothing left for you to fear*
    Shake your arse come over here
    Now scream..
    THUS is a place in the spiritual realms which is also addressed in the song "eyes without a face & truly the heavenly choir is hitting the charts and grabbing the Grammies!!
