Another pointer for recruiting. When you recruit someone and you get locked out because of a Deal Breaker, for instance Play Time, don't remove the player, if you really want them. You might get lucky and they drop that requirement and you're back on the board again. I signed a SS after he dropped me, then put me back in place again. Kinda like the unlock feature from 14.
Sometimes if you're recruiting another guy at the same position, the rating for playing time will drop. So you may have to not pursue another CB for example if you have one you're going after with a playing time dealbreaker.
My Wr had a Dealbreaker because of playing Style. The last 3 games I had a run heavy offense, but as i began to pass the ball more he dropped the dealbreaker and comitted
Sometimes, they'll sign anyway after Signing Day, too. You'll check your new recruits, and there they are. It seems to happen when you're still way out in front on Signing Day, but I'm not 100% sure if that's always the reason.
Another tip I found when hard selling or swaying, if you have two check marks and are waiting on the third, check the deal breaker. If it is not already a check mark it will correlate to the third check.
Also useful for when they're ready to schedule a visit but you haven't unlocked any interest, go for the deal breaker, especially if you're an A- or better
Also, soft sell, hard sell, and sway, the options in there are guaranteed to have a match for what the player ultimately wants. So you can have 2 green checks down, as long as there isn't 2+ pitches that have those two and a grey '?', then you know exactly which one it is. I've even had players I've only revealed 1 green check on that I was able to hard sell because there was only one pitch with two "?"s because I had revealed enough of the red "x"s
The best recruiting tip is dont fill out your recruit board, get you about 17-19 guys you really want and allocate all your hours to them and as you get guys to commit and hours back, just add new ones
Yeah plus you're probably at or close to your roster cap anyway so you're gonna end up losing players already on your roster to make room for incoming freshmen. Which might be good if they're upgrades but you might just be throwing away good players for unproven talent.
@@Goodgamebro I think the BUST / GEM feature appears to be irrelevant. Did a Sim, and the #33 and #34 player on the board, both 5 star RBs one was a bust, one a gem, both had 76 overall.
I’m rebuilding pitt and I’ve been going after recruits that live in states close to us and Virginia. It’s been easier to get 4 star recruits that live a few states away, you’re also not competing with Alabama if you’re getting a 4-star from Ohio. Only going for like 10-15 players until I get them signed or totally out of the race, way better point distribution than going after 35 each week
I’m rebuilding Pitt and literally doing the same thing lol. I also just chose the default coach since he’s already a level 31 and gives you an advantage.
@@Teebiskit yeah a lot of people just go for the best players but that’s not going to work. People were saying they cousin get recruits but I’ve been getting 4 and 3 star guys I think fairly.
Another tip: around week 7 or 8, check the prospect list for 4*s who don't have your school on their list, but haven't been scouted or offered by any school at all. You can make some headway climbing their interest list before schools make their 2nd go rounds. I use Memphis and found a gem 4* RB, 92+ all speed stats, 6' 205, with the gold safety valve ability and an elite dev trait (highest). No school talked to him at any point but me. Amazing steal.
Just wanted to say it’s absolutely best to fill up your build with 35. Offer scholarships to as many as possible due to the boost it gives you against other schools who haven’t. I would only assign other recruiting points to about 15-25 to start which is kind of what you eluded to. Good video though!

In my first season at buffalo i was only able to get 2, 3 stars and a bunch of 2 and 1 stars. No one wants to go to buffalo yet. Feels pretty realistic to me. Hopefully we do better next season
A bunch of 4 stars don't get offers until week 5 or 6, you should be able to secure some of them before they get any interest. Just sort by offers and target ones that have 0 on week 2 or 3
I'm playing as UB too. Moved them to the ACC. I was able to sign a 4-star QB from NJ first year. In my third year now. Team overall 85 finished with 76th recruiting class first year, 39th second year. Program is at 3 1/2 stars
I’ve seen the faster you pitch, or get a visit the more likely you are to win the recruit. Biggest advantage I’ve seen to get your lower program more wins pitching before you see 3 green checks before pitching (hard/soft sell). A lot of the time because of knowing deal breaker and shuffling thru the pitches I can identify the right pitch (3 green) while the recruiting tab only has 1 green showing. Deal breaker will always be green and shuffling thru the pitches usually there will only be 1 pitch that has the one green, the deal breaker and a grey. A little more work with shuffling thru the pitches but huge advantage to be pitching earlier.
Just started mine with Northwestern and landed a 4⭐️ gem scramble QB with 100 speed 95 acceleration ahead of Michigan 🤣 I’m too pumped…I changed the first 2 games of the season to teams that were ranked but overall ratings were similar to mine & won both 😂 think that helped
It's probably more beneficial to make your coach's pipeline somewhere different than the region where you school is located since you're gonna have a school pipeline in the area around your school anyway. Picking a florida pipeline for your coach with ucf as your team is kinda redundant. Better to choose somewhere like texas or California for your coach's pipeline. Help spread your reach to a different region. It's also important to look to check out your coordinator's skills tree before you spec out your head coach. Eventhough abilities do stack, you might wanna choose something different than what your coordinator's already have.
No that would only stretch u and hurt u severely.. the prospects in ur distanced pipeline will lock u out if they care about proximity to home which alot do...also the prospects from the area of ur school will be more influenced by pipeline schools near them so u lose on both fronts...so if ur OU and ur pipeline in cali and osu targets a prospect from area they have advantage....the pipelines boost the influence....ha ING a pipeline near ur school brings home alot if local talent which u want if ur a decent school .....if ur not a goo's school then it makes it worse

With the absence of Formation Subs (a Feature from the 2000s that allowed you to recruit each Position in a Belichick-like multidimensional fashion... i.e: a 2nd or 3rd-string Receiving TE for Formations like the Shotgun if you want your 1st-string TE to be focused as a mauling Blocker), I feel like Recruiting in CF25 forces me to go pretty one-dimensional at each Position (elusive RBs, fast WRs, etc). It's a pretty big bummer since, personally, Formation Subs superbly deepened my Recruiting strategy about 20 years ago. Pretty wild how such a Roster Management Feature like it is just missing 20 years into the future.
Hey, I just wanted to thank you. I've watched several recruiting tips videos to figure out what I was doing wrong. Yours was the best. I appreciate you!
You can figure out what the guys with no dealbreakers like- if they are close to home, and their top 5 is all close to home- 10/10 it’s proximity to home, so you could always schedule him based on that
I think reruitingnis broken. The BUST / GEM system is literally irrelevant. I simulated multiple season, and youll find teams recruiting 4 + players at one position. The craziest one so far, Penn State recruited the #1 #2 #5 #7 QB in the country. Something is not working properly
In my 1st season at Maryland. Messed up my pipeline because Im stupid and didnt recognize “Tidewater” as the DMV. Week 13 and I have 4 recruits but im number 1 on like 15 guys and heavy on them. And many guys seem to still be open as of week 13, so going to move on them once I get more recruits
Great breakdown! I would say though, first week setting up board, fill it up, offer them all, scout the as many as you can, or the ones you want/need bad. Next week allocate max points to those players. And when you want to scedule visit and they dont have a green check yet, scroll to OVERVIEW and you can use the dealbreaker. Its an automatic check. Unless its an area your not highly rated like a D or C-. But the best thing you can do is win that game, regardless of what you ckeck. And if youbwant to build up faster, play the games. Win.

Do you get an automatic upgrade for your pipeline if you choose another region outside of where your school is located? Like if you chose Texas pipeline over Central Florida, would you have both?
All seriousness, this by far is the best recruiting video I've seen. I've been struggling with recruiting and you did show some good, useful tips. Thanks!!
The part I struggle with is definitely the visits. To me it seems either I do the visit early, and then I lose the recruit later because I don’t have anything to give me a boost at the home stretch. Or I do it so late that either they commit before it, or just flat out commit to somewhere else weeks before the visit.
There's definitely a bit of an art to it. You want to make sure you're giving them the best possible visit + timing it so that you're not too early or not too late. In an ideal scenario, you're doing your visit just before a big CPU visit to minimize their impact.
Do you keep the Hard Sell on for the rest of the season you're recruiting? (Like it fully replaces "Send The House") Or do you switch back to Send the House after the one hard sell?
for scheduling visits, on first tab, overview, if you dont have any green checks, look at their deal breaker at bottom. use that for your visit subject
Thank you bro. Like this is all I needed. You put me on to so much stuff. Esp the complimentary stuff and not scheduling during bye weeks due to the boost or not scheduling when other people may not like it. I just never paid attention. Also i would usually throw a bust an away now you got me actually paying attention to the about instead of scouting them fully. I also use to fill my board up and be stressed 🤣🤣🤣
After the recent patch, you can't see your newest recruits on the position change page anymore so any athletes you sign you will have to wait until the next off season to change their position or you risk changing their position in the edit player section which can drastically affect their overall rating. I had a 4 star athlete that was a 76 overall center but i needed a tackle more so i changed him in edit player to a tackle and he dropped to 62 overall until the next off-season when i could change his position in the Position Changes tab and he was then a 79 overall tackle 😅 stupid patch
Can you talk about redshirting and player progression over the season/off-season? Is it better to play a recruit or sit him and how will his overall change.
I started with a really low rated school and used Souch florida as my pipeline. resulted in the states in between giving me more 3stars that instantly went 1st interest from top 8 after offering them and everyone above 4+ first week
Another tip i have. Is after week 1 or 2, a lot of 4 and 3 star players will not have any offers, some of them wont get any until pretty late in the year. It doesn't matter if they are out of your pipeline, if you swoop in before they generate interest you can lock em in. You can occasionally lose them in later weeks, so monitor early and you should be able to give up if a big school starts recruiting them too soon. If they wait too long you will still be able to beat them
Dev traits are the most important because unlike madden even if you cook with them they are capped at a certain overall. Recruited a 4 star wideout for notre dame and got 2000 yards and 21 tds with him and hes capped at a 77 lmao
Appreciate the Video... on my first Dynasty as San Diego State and im losing recruits Ive spent hours on who commited to other clubs after being in the top 5 for a while... ive notice to also schedule visits early too... cant wait for the Official TeamBuider to build my own school
I'm doing San Diego St as well and I'm seeing the same issue. In the lead for most of the game, then USC, Oregon, or Arizona St decides they want him and they just swoop in and take them from me. a LOT of 4 *'s that is happening with.
I super focus on offensive line and defensive line and of course qb no one wants to come to you if you don’t win and it starts in the trenches tbh I don’t care for tactician but I know it’s good but for a small school winning is everything and getting the right kids is the hardest part
Do you know if you should remove the hard sell after using it once? or keep it there for the next week/s until you land the recruit? Thanks in advance!
Would be helpful to know. My usual process is to send the house then pivot to hard sell as soon as I can. Once you know their 2 green checks, you don’t need the 3rd, it’s just process of elimination, there will be an ideal pitch that matches all 3
Gems don’t have to do with star rating. They have to do with development traits. Gems have good development traits and will develop into better players while “busts” don’t develop as well.
Thanks man, i learned a few new things, quick question though. Lets say im oregon, they recruit well out of california already, starting a new dynasty , what would be a smart pioeline state to pick and how heavily does it matter??
Recruited an athlete for Kenneshaw State and he had a 99 speed as a freshman but his best position was QB, so played him 78 at QB a year and switched him to RB sophmore year when it showed him as a 90. He left for the NFL draft his Junior year after being the top RB in the country smh
Best tip for recruiting is start off as a OC for a top school.. get the top 5 classes 2 years Ina row then upgrade to elite recruiting. Then go to a new school of ya choice as head coach!! Been the easiest thing for me
Send the house and what not, figure out what the recruit likes, then hard/soft pitch it if you have it- ‼️ my question is.. can I keep the same hard pitch for a second week in a row??? Or should I change it up to a less ideal pitch say with only 2/3 greens (which will still be good), and/or non-pitch influence builders.. does anyone know the answer to this!?!? 🙏🏽
Is there a way to tell the cpu what style players to shoot for? For example I only want scrambler. Because if I use the cpu and try to bring on my own prospects they almost always take them off the next week.
I find recruiting to be a bit easy, With WVU my first year I was 22nd in the country and by year 4 I am pulling in top 5 classes every year. My best was 7- 5* players.
Editing tip: You have these cuts that have a quick sound but then I’m also flash banged for a millisecond. Not sure if I’m the only one having a hard time watching because of it. Content is great though, thank you for the tips.
Same dude. No one wants to go to Buffalo which feels like realistic but I got lucky to get one 3 star and a few 2 stars. We're fucked but imma play it out and hope to do better next season

yes i picked central florida as my pipeline playing as minnesota and you still get boosts for in-state recruits bc of proximity to home
All seriousness, this by far is the best recruiting video I've seen. I've been struggling with recruiting and you did show some good, useful tips. Thanks!!
No problem & glad it helped!
Motivator is by far the best to start. Because you can take your first year recruits and turn them into 4-5 stars during the season
Does pipeline need to be set in the state youre in for a boost? Or use pipeline in another state for a boost in that area?
Thank you so much for the great vid, it was very helpful
A bunch of my players are at high risk of tranfering for playing style how do I fix the playing style
This was great man; GA State has a chance now! 😂🙏🏾
Hahaha no problem. Make sure you check out the Coach Abilities one I'm dropping today too - it helps with recruiting and a few other things!
Great video. I appreciate the help. Had no idea what I was doing.
I started with a really low rated school and used Souch florida as my pipeline. resulted in the states in between giving me more 3stars that instantly went 1st interest from top 8 after offering them and everyone above 4+ first week
Wow this is probably one of the best videos I have ever watched in regards to what to do. Thank you
Thank you for this detailed breakdown. Everyone else sped through the details
No problem & glad it helped!
Also just wanted to say thank you for the vid, I learned some things I didn't know as well.
You're welcome!
If they wait too long you will still be able to beat them
They're actually patching this (to a degree) which is why I didn't include it as much in the video.
@@Goodgamebro how will they change this?
Really wish they would’ve let us “create a recruit” like we could back in 2013-14. Even if they put a limit of 1-2 I would be fine just with that.
Great video…. you have a new subscriber!!!!
Tip for visits. If you have no green check marks you can always go with that players deal breaker (because that’s always a green check mark)
Facts
That's a tip I meant to include but forgot - great advice!
Arkansas fan here! Glad you spoke good about KJ he’s a DOG our O line sold us last season..
great video my guy!!! i understand it now!! been doing some things wrong but i will correct them now!
Do you exclusively sort by interest? I have done that in the past but not sure if there are more productive ways when looking for guys.
Dev traits are the most important because unlike madden even if you cook with them they are capped at a certain overall. Recruited a 4 star wideout for notre dame and got 2000 yards and 21 tds with him and hes capped at a 77 lmao
Best video ive seen so far!!!
So how does upgrading players work? How do I make sure my players are growing properly?
Coach Abilities (watch that video on my channel)
Appreciate the Video... on my first Dynasty as San Diego State and im losing recruits Ive spent hours on who commited to other clubs after being in the top 5 for a while... ive notice to also schedule visits early too... cant wait for the Official TeamBuider to build my own school
I'm doing San Diego St as well and I'm seeing the same issue. In the lead for most of the game, then USC, Oregon, or Arizona St decides they want him and they just swoop in and take them from me. a LOT of 4 *'s that is happening with.
This is awesome! I'm a beast at recruiting, but these are great tips
Once you know their 2 green checks, you don’t need the 3rd, it’s just process of elimination, there will be an ideal pitch that matches all 3
Question, do ur college players develop by themselves? If not how to we make thier overalls better
Their improvement season by season depends on their performance in the season, their development trait, and your coaches motivation tree
great breakdown. showed me some things I did not know
This was clutch bro thanks
Been the easiest thing for me
Great info, I have a question, do I use up all of my hours on the first chance of selecting my recruiting board?
We need a realistic rebuild series with gameplay man!
Extremely helpful! Top guide!
Definitely looking forward to this game!
It’s an amazing game. Very in depth. It’s a time consumer lol
@@Itsmikesteezy oh most definitely! I bought it yesterday and just waiting for the countdown lol! Just had to watch live play before getting it
Send the house and what not, figure out what the recruit likes, then hard/soft pitch it if you have it- ‼️ my question is.. can I keep the same hard pitch for a second week in a row??? Or should I change it up to a less ideal pitch say with only 2/3 greens (which will still be good), and/or non-pitch influence builders.. does anyone know the answer to this!?!? 🙏🏽
Is there a way to tell the cpu what style players to shoot for? For example I only want scrambler. Because if I use the cpu and try to bring on my own prospects they almost always take them off the next week.
Very helpful for first timer
So if your offense coach has elite recruiter and has some fields like rb tab 3/4, should I invest my points there or somewhere else since they stack?
You get a higher percentage if your HC has it, so it just depends on what you want to focus on
I find recruiting to be a bit easy, With WVU my first year I was 22nd in the country and by year 4 I am pulling in top 5 classes every year. My best was 7- 5* players.
Fantastic video, my friend, helped me a lot. Thanks!!!
Editing tip: You have these cuts that have a quick sound but then I’m also flash banged for a millisecond. Not sure if I’m the only one having a hard time watching because of it. Content is great though, thank you for the tips.
I'm not happy with the flash
This video made me want to restart. Dynasty Mode 😅 my team doing well this years but recruiting wise 😅 we are doomed next season 😅
Same dude. No one wants to go to Buffalo which feels like realistic but I got lucky to get one 3 star and a few 2 stars. We're fucked but imma play it out and hope to do better next season
@@m2b2gaming20the transfer portal can really help and also as the season goes on look at 3 and 4 stars wit 0 offers u might can land them
Can you export the draft class each year to import into madden like they used to do back in the day?
I would assume yes if not it will be added later.
Just wanted to come by and say Thank you so much for the video. New subscriber to the channel and this video has been super helpful to me. Keep up the good work !!
Glad it helped you & appreciate you letting me know!
If you set recruitment on auto. Has anyone received alot of 5 star recruits
I had no idea you can remove the hours spent on a player or you can schedule a visit when players hours are maxed out
THANK YOU! Finally a full video that thoroughly explained it. Great video
No problem & glad it was helpful!
Thanks brother you really helped me out wish I would’ve watched this before I chose JMU but I definitely have a better understanding 💪🏾
No problem!
Best recruiting vid out there!
Can physical abilities be earned or does a prospect have to have them prior to signing and playing?
