A note about the WIFI at Clumber Park. Some people are saying I got it wrong and there was WiFi on site. When we arrived (10/4/23) we were told BT are supposed to be putting in this new Free and Premium WiFi, but they've cancelled the install dates twice. I assume because they've disconnected the original WiFi on the site and we were left with just the 'office' WiFi - a little area around reception. We couldn't keep going down there, I suppose I could take a chair and do my video editing there! Hopefully BT will put in the new Internet and WiFi, maybe by the time you read this!! 😊
Thank you for the review of Clumber Park. We have considered visiting as we have used Sherwood Pines a couple of times just up the road and passed Clumber on the way home. Lovely for you to meet up with Julie and Tony for the day, their review of Clumber Park is also helpful over on their channel. Enjoy the rest of your trip, safe travels Bob, Jenny and Poppy
Sure looks like a very nice relaxing place for a park up. The drive to there also looked very interesting. Wishing you both and Poppy enjoy/enjoyed the stay. Stay safe and enjoy.
Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, loved the drive to Clumber Park, a nice walk around the site and weren't the loos posh. Yes there are some really nice long walks from the site. It is very peaceful there, Just a shame about the signal. It was lovely coming over to the site to meet you both and Poppy of course, who is a cuddle bum. The day just wizzed by, we had a lovely time with you all and really enjoyed your company. Thank you for mentioning us in your video, we really appreciate it. It would be lovely to meet up again xx Julie and Tony, x
Oh I couldn’t deal with no signal 😊 Nice walks in the area though 😎 and a dog wash is a big bonus 🤩 Ahh lovely to see my friend Julie & Tony in your video too 😁 Em 💜
Looks a great site - really unfortunate about the phone reception. So dependant on it these days as our van WiFi runs off it!! Fish and chips looked great! Thanks for sharing!
Once connection problems for Wi-Fi and mobile are sorted it would seem a lovely site in the centre of England. I am quite concerned about sites with poor mobile connection as have elderly relatives I would very much need to keep in contact with while out and about, at any time.
Hiya, hopefully I'm accurate with my opinion on your references to the facility blocks being called "bath" rooms without there being a physical bath in there, but I understand that their terminology is accurate as I understand a facility room that can be used for "bath"ing is called a bath room. Great and very informative video BTW.
That's how the latest updates at the clubs facilities seem to be named now. We was at Lady Margaret's (Chirk, North Wales) last weekend and the block layout and also named bathroom is identical to Clumber Park I see.
Nice to see Clumber Park again, lovely site - stayed there last year … wifi is definitely iffy though. The bike storage room is worth a look, high security .. sign of the times I guess. (Can’t blame Robin Hood!! 😄 🏹 🌳)
Those new bathrooms are great, the reason that it looks like there are 4 on each block, is because there’s a sliding door mid way through so that they can close 50% for cleaning and you still have access without the trotting round site. Also some good lay-by parking on A57 if you can’t get a space at ce real part of park. Great vlog again 👍
We've just returned from a week in Hurn Lane, Somerset. Just prior to that trip, our airbag warning light came on, and occasionally the seat belt light (??). Researching the issue, it could have been a few things causing this, like the connection under the passenger seat, ecu faulty etc. Our dealership did a diagnostic, and it was the ecu that was faulty, so it was replaced, after one was sourced by Guest Motors pretty quickly. One of the main causes of this fault, allegedly, is when the vehicle has been standing (winter storage etc), and the voltage is allowed to get too low - not in our case, but that seems the common denominator. Anyhow, all been OK since replaced.
Good to hear. I have checked the under seat connections. We always have the EHU plugged in at home, so can't see it being a low battery, but we're getting it checked when we get back.
We like Sherwood Forrest site or I think that’s what it’s called, it’s a camping in the forrest site and we love it. When we drive there from the motorway we pass Clumber Park and I wonder if we should stay there because it’s nearer to the motorway but I think I prefer the Sherwood Forrest site. I can’t recall what the signal is like but the dog walking is great. Lovely to see the Gallivanting Gilanties. 😊 Thanks as always for sharing a great video.
Looks a lovely site, but not sure I could cope with no signal! The networks really need to sort themselves out. It’s ridiculous in this day and age when they’re all rolling out 5G that there are some places you can’t even get 3G to make a phone call!
I wonder what the airbag light is? I take it that you haven't been in a collision where the airbag has deployed? Hope you get it sorted! Gallivanting Galantes recommend your channel and I've now subscribed! Clumber park looks a great site, facilities look nice pity about the phone signal! Happy Travels!!!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo that's odd. I guess there must be a fault. The diagnostic tool will show all the fault codes, so hopefully that'll tell you what is wrong 👍
Watch for thieves not just bikes. The bike shed is there for a reason. When we were last about 10 bikes went missing. Hopefully bumped up the security. Its a shame as its a beautiful site and spent alot of money on it recently
Yes, lots of notices about, good they've added the coded gates, but not sure they can stop anyone climbing over the fence or even walking through the gate.
Hi Bob/Jenny, the one I've been waiting for a probably my first site that I will visit, (it's 30 minutes away)no wi-fi for me at the moment would be a bonus, your video has however shown me that I need a purchase I had been thinking of ie a folding e-bike which I am currently researching. Alas the person I had bought the m/h to share with aka my wife of 38 years has now been diagnosed with bowel cancer and since been told that it is inoperable so rough seas ahead and maybe plans will be delayed, life is a bit like that, but thanks for the review
@@BobEarnshawMoHo we have been twice recently and I paid for wifi which I have now had a part credit from the club as the CAMC have now included Wifi in the price so I believe ?? Hi Bob. There are quite a few places you can still Park. You perhaps didn't notice. But just before you turned right towards cmc site. There was quite a few vehicles parked on left. That Rd with all the new stumps in. Lime tree Ave. Isn't owned by national trust Owned by Natural England Inc grass verges. You can park there free of charge if not in Nat trust. That stone pillared bridge that was on one of pictures in toilet block I think Was deliberately knock down y some youths few yrs ago in stolen car. They did catch them. But most of it is now new stone pillars. I live close by & go cycling many times. Yesterday in fact

It does put us off, but it's not the sites fault there's no mobile phone masts in the area. They are having WiFi put in, but BT keep changing the date.

Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy thanks for another great video! Looked a lovely site to stay , bit of a nuisance not having any signal though for you. Xx

We’ve stayed a few times and wifi is free now so you can use your phone via WhatsApp 😉
There was no WiFi when we stayed there because they're still waiting for BT to put it in.

It was lovely and quiet in all senses of the word. 👍😊

It's probably not the place to go then. The mobile phone signal won't improve, but they are improving the Internet by putting in WiFi.
Hi Sally they have wifi so you still have access to the outside world use WhatsApp free calls, text and picture message 😉

Love the woodland areas for dog walks. Are you generally allowed three little dogs on leashes at most parks?
I would imagine so.
I wondered if two were maximum ? I have three Papillons.
If you mean campsites, the Caravan and Motorhome Club don't have a dog limit, but some private sites charge per dog.

There is no WiFi there apart from a small hot spot near reception.
