Love Clumber Park. Ollerton is my dad’s birthplace. His ashes are scattered in the Rose Garden at Rufford park. ❤❤
Hi Bob and Jenny a great video as ever and would love to visit clumber park it looks a great place with lots to see and do and looks a great site as well and so relaxing especially limited phone reception 😂 glad konnie is doing well and also that you are happy I wouldn’t go back to a manual now the auto is better but must be Stellantis products with auto lock and radio eco mode I have the same on my 308! All the best to you both Daniel
Yes the designer must have that was a great idea. They never tried it with a motorhome!
I have never been to Thoresby Hall, nice that Poppy could go in.
Bob we lived in Clumber park for 5 years it’s a wonderful place to be and close to Rufford Abbey Country Park and Sherwood Forest thanks for the lovely video 😊
Thank you for taking me along.
Thanks for showing the TV mountings, much appreciated. We were only at Clumber last weekend - nice and peaceful, nice site. Good dog walks and also the NT to look around. Thanks
Hi Bob,
Love the videos and the new van.
I’ve been reading about the rust and corrosion that can (eventually) rust and rot the bottom of the sump on Fiat Ducato engines.
Given you have a new van, have you ever considered fitting an under engine cover?
I’ve seen them on eBay but can’t find any videos about them (which is strange).
If you haven’t considered it, do you know if any of your motorhome collaborators have fitted one?
Many thanks.
Not heard of that yet, might be a little early for me to be worrying about rust!
Excellent video, must add Thoresby Hall to the list
Fantastic Video. Well Done.
Another great vlog
We love thoresby hall
Your doing great with the weight loss 🎉
Thanks so much 😊
ENOYED IT, ALL THE BEST FROM THA KINGDOM. OF THAILAND 🇹🇭
Great video,,,,Surely it’s progressive cruise control now so no need to slow as it will follow car ahead ??
No it's not adaptive cruise control fitted to the van.
Hi Bob great video as always. Quick question about the charging system with the smart alternator when you checked the battery level were you plugged into the EHU at the time? I would get a lower reading before I connect.
Yes, I had only just plugged in, but you can see it's the vehicle battery that's been charged, and the leisure battery wasn't flat. Some people had reported their leisure batteries were not being charged with smart alternators on long journeys.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo yes that’s what I’m experiencing still ongoing issues with Swift and Sargent now they have passed on to Fiat
Sorry to hear that. I'd be interested to hear what happens.
Quite a place that! The museum looked great too. One day :). Ian
It was!
Just thought I’d give you an update on our reversing sensors that don’t work. After locating the place where the audible speaker should be fitted, we have found that Swift have not fit the speaker! There are only loose wires. Also the 784 has the fresh water tank positioned low underneath, consequently the drain off valve gets caught and falls off if you go over speed bumps. We are currently in this position. Love listening and watching you both you have a vey calm manner 😊
Thanks for the update, my reversing sensors do beep, as long as the detachable tow bar is not attached. I would have thought Fiat provided the sensors not Swift. Maybe Swift forgot to fit it? Agree with you on the fresh water tank, the cap is too low to the ground.
Another great video Bob, door locks, once you unlock the vehicle, open a front door and close it, that will stop the central locking activating after about 30 seconds, had the same problem with the Ford Transit cab. Vehicle charging when travelling, yes it uses a smart alternator, this is linked to a DC to DC charger linked to the leisure habitation battery, without this mod the leisure battery will not charge.
Thanks, we've got used to auto locking now. I have checked with Sargent and no current Swift Motorhomes are fitted with a smart charger at the factory and the leisure battery is charging OK.
I have been trying the adaptive cruise control on my new MH and I am now a convert. Never liked cruise on UK roads as I constantly had to take control but the Ford adaptive cruise is great. I have towed my caravan with the MH and again I’m impressed, so stress free! I’m enjoying the 180bhp as well just have to keep an eye on the speed hence the use of cruise.
Sadly the Kon-Tiki does not have adaptive cruise control. 😕
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Also addicted to the automatic gearbox!
We are having a nightmare with our satnag too. It had been working great until recently but now it seems to find us the smallest, single track lanes to go down. 😡
Have you updated your soft ware at all?
I wouldn't say we're having a nightmare with it though. I think I just managed to turn the sound down. I did try the check for updates and there doesn't seem to be any. Has yours been updated then?
@@BobEarnshawMoHo yes, it seems to be after the last firmware update a couple of months back, has sent us on some crazy single track roads and round some very odd routes, too many times now to be a coincidence, going to try updating again then resetting and putting the dimensions in again then fingers crossed that will crack it 👍 I think I must have upset it - certainly helping test my driving skills! 😀
I might hang on to the Avtex just in case 🤔👍
Many thanks Bob and Jenny. I love the "Arrival and setting up" Vlogs, they show a wealth of information and the tour of a site. I'm thick as two short planks with Motorhomes at the moment, so forgive me - am listening to your frustration with the Auto-lock feature in particular - I wonder if Todd's or a Swift Service Centre can attach their laptop to your system to add, amend or include extra features or disable certain other features? As this is software-based, it could be an easy fix - worth enquiring Bob?
Also, I love, love, love the gorgeous red de-cals on your Motorhome, very distinguished. I also love the facilities at Clumber Park, in particular the Shower/Cubicles, they look mint. Enjoy yourselves, and until next time, take care. 😊
Thanks for watching. Funnily enough I just had a reply from Fiat customer services about the autolock and radio timeout, but I think I'm communicating with a computer and the computer says no. 😂
Fiat: "Based on the information available, it's not feasible to program a Radio 20-minute time-out due to battery health care considerations. For a comprehensive explanation, it's advisable to visit an authorized dealership, as they possess extensive knowledge and experience with the technical aspects of vehicles. Regarding the door auto-lock feature, you can find instructions in the owner's handbook, which can be adjusted through the Uconnect system."
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Darn for the radio - still take it inbut ooooooh!!! Possibly a result for the auto lock, keep us updated on that please.
Except that the static autolock isn't in the handbook...
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Oh heck!!!
Thank you for taking us around. We are going near there later in the year and Thoresby court yard exhibition looks like a great destination for a not so nice day. Well done on reducing alcohol and losing weight. Your new van is lovely. Would a lanyard with just the van key on save you taking a whole set of keys around with you all the time? Just a thought. Take care Gill
Thanks, I have thought about lanyards, but I think I would end up with several lanyards!
Hi Bob, we are new subscribers to your vlogs and enjoy them enormously. They are very informative. Thank you.
Would you mind recommending a model of the Garmin Sat nav please? Many thanks, Geoff & Dot.
The one we've used is the Avtex Tourer Two which is actually a Garmin with extra Caravan and Motorhome Club features. The newest version three is available from the Caravan and Motorhome Club website please see this video and the video description ua-cam.com/video/ezuzf1Ycc6I/v-deo.htmlsi=3YPCm4vIqyEBMPT_

Many thanks and for your quick reply.
We hope to bump into you both sometime, on one of your trips.

Love the channel .we have a 794 on a 24 plate ,I was wondering what is the orange light for on right hand side .ours comes on when not travelling ,is it something to do with having the gas on when moving ?
It's a en-route heating light. It comes on to remind you the gas heating is on, so you do not go in to fuel stations with the gas on.
We stayed at Warner Thornsby Hall the courtyard with shop museum and restaurant and brewery is well worth the visit
Another time I think.
Why not Just use the tv to listen to the radio ? I assume it’s a digital tv so all the radio channels are available on the channel guide
Yes we could use radio channels on the TV, or we could stream to the Avtex sound bar using our phones and Greatest Hits Premium, but to be fair we don't listen much to the radio when we're not driving. I was just trying to make the point that the 20 minute time out is crazy in a motorhome.
Hi a great video. Great motor home. What is the towing equipment you use ? Thanks Jon.
It's Tow A Frame's Smart Glide ua-cam.com/video/siAkQCSHRsc/v-deo.htmlsi=ve3B6Mg6U1f_UTO8
Hi Captain. Would love to know what glue they are using to bond that timber on to hold the tv ?? Very impressive 👍🏻
Hi Bob great video. How did you find the built-in satnav? We have the 2024 Kontiki like yourselves and was considering getting the Avtex satnav.
It's been OK, but I think I need to do a comparison video with the two sat navs.
Interesting the auto energy selection of the fridge. Presumably there is a delay when turning the engine off before the gas of the fridge fires up, to prevent running a naked flame on a petrol station forecourt?
Yes, there is a 15 minute safety delay on the fridge, but ideally, gas should be switched off before entering filling stations.
The beauty of the radio going off after 20 minutes, is you can go to bed with radio on and it will turn off without you needing to get up.
Very true
After watching your sat nag efforts over several videos i bought the tourer 3 second hand and have often found she gets the campsites on the wrong side of the road! Also gives turn advice miles ahead which confused me. Which have you decided is best? Factory or Garmin?
I did a video on how Points of Interest work in Sat navs, and they aren't the most accurate ua-cam.com/video/vypKocWD_Go/v-deo.htmlsi=coO7YacpoGXO3ub7
I probably will do a video about the built in Sat nav compared to the Avtex Tourer Two, but there are still good reasons to get the Avtex.
Hi another good video when you are towing the car do you put anything in the car
Sometimes things like the aquaroll or wastemaster, Taylormade screen, that sort of thing. Works great as a trailer too 😊👍
Thank you ❤
Saddleworth Moor is where you were on the M62
Yes, I couldn't remember the name of the hill, the appropriately named Windy Hill.
Bob you found the oil and adblue level monitor on dash 🤷♂️ No dipstick anymore 🙈 Cheers Sam . . .
Yes, on the vehicle settings.
My Sat nav volume can only be changed whilst she’s talking. Drives me nuts on mine.
I can set it in the settings, but it's easy to accidentally turn it down. Same on our VW Up!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A C&MC site with bad wifi! Who would have thought! The "only available near reception" excuse again. I've had this on a number of C&MC sites and it's another reason I'll be sticking to independent sites once this years membership runs out.
We never use public WiFi anyway, so it doesn't bother us, just trying to be helpful for people who do... BTW the reason the club can't get the WiFi working on many sites is called BT. Enough said.
Be careful you don't leave keys inside whilst your outside, such a mad design.
Sat nav volume is under right hand steering arm adjust up and down only when she talking lol 😂 Sam
Yes, that's the trouble with trying to turn down Greatest Hits Radio when Jenny starts the camera. 📻😂
Had me exactly the same on the way back from dealers - Fiat based Auto great though isn't it 👌 Bob you had to have a Tracker fitted for Insurance, as pretty standard with value of van's now 🙈 Sam
Tracker comes with Swift Motorhomes as standard, on a subscription basis.
@BobEarnshawMoHo
Whooo that's pretty cool as my Adria didn't, but I got a free Gaslow fitted with 2 x 11kg bottles 🤣
£17 a month for tracker global telemetrics with app cost me about £600 but worth having for a peace of mind 🙏
I have a fiat ducato dose the Vehicle sallow for the size of the actual vehicle
The built in sat nav does take into account the size of the vehicle, it asks to confirm the dimensions and weight every time when choosing a route.
The video and commentary are GREAT -but the head cam makes me nauseous ! 😊
Sorry about that, I tried to edit out the worst head movements. Wanted to give a eye level view of the cab.
Instead of having two ladies telling you where to go, change the setting to make one of them a fella.
Yes, I wouldn't have to obey that one 🤣
So sorry Bob but had to stop watching as the headcam made us feel seasick. Great idea but of course you can't keep your head still especially when driving.
So sorry we won’t do that again with Hero 5 Session. Can I suggest you skip that part of the video as we stop using the head cam after we stopped for lunch.
We stopped using head cam at the fourth chapter of the video
03:01 Are the Batteries being charged
Hi Both, Really glad you are enjoying your new home it all looks really lovely but one thing I did think was a bad feature if you are both sitting outside & your doors are shut unless you have your keys you won’t be able to get back in 🫣 not too good Bob please can you tell me what was the round knob at your right hand side thanks all the best Lin 💖🦮
Yes we need to be careful. It's a Touch Wood from Gonk and Moody. More about it in the next video. youtube.com/@gonkandmoody?si=sV38Vbgwvo0SwFpA
HI BOTH, Thank you for reading & replying back to me very much appreciated 💖👍
