@@morgonaut the script wont open in script editor for me. Im on a 6,2 trashcan, running Monterey, but you mentioned it shouldn't matter. Any thoughts?
@c412yet - so you did something wrong, the script WILL open in Script Editor. Maybe your download is corrupted, maybe you did not unzip it, etc., can't know. Open Script Editor and choose open my script manually
This method worked great on an old MacBook running Monterey 12.7.3. I'm running a DVR server on the machine and upon reboot, I couldn't access the NAS shares automatically. This method fixed that wonderfully.

WOAH. Smooth Mama :D Hi from Norway
@ladeluff_ - greetings to Norway :) 🇳🇴
Thank you very much for the tutorial.
What if the disks are disconnected because of long time idle, or Mac sleeps and cut off the network.
@lyc0128 - simply double click the icon of my script and it will mount all immediately - you can make a shortcut to it on your desktop - that's how I have it on all machines
Hola Teri, como siempre exelente aporte. Esto me ayudara bastante con las unidades smb que tengo.
Pero una consulta servira el mismo metodo para montar automaticamente unidades NFS?
Hello Teri, as always excellent contribution. This will help me a lot with the smb units I have.
But will a query serve the same method to automatically mount NFS drives?
@ninoatjs - as I said in this video same will work for afp, nfs por whatever...
There is a third method: Drag a folder from the share into the dock.
Unfortunately, this works incorrectly with Ventura (or since Ventura?). If I have a folder "Video", I often get several mounts like /Volumes/Video-1/ and /Volumes/Video/. One mount is then defective.
Question. I did this but now the Quick Time videos I had will not open. Any suggestions. It’s says that the Quick Time app isn’t there but when I go to another folder with QT it opens. It’s just this folder. And thank you for everything.
Hi, I have the opposite issue. Our shared servers are mounting automatically with someone else's credentials who no longer works with us. Now I don't have permission to copy or make folders on the severs. How can I go back to manually mounting them. It shouldn't have been like that in the first place.
Thank so much
I use this program "Jettison" for the same purpose, but the nice thing about it is that it eject the network disks When the computer goes to sleep
@alomar. - why to use some 3rd party app when everything you need is built into macOS already and for free!?
hello, but how to auto mount as a administrator/super user? btw thank you :)
@Strielok79 - ?? that's the same way!
Thanks for the tips! Coming from Windows this seems stupidly complicated, and even in Linux it's just adding a few lines to a file.
@Spasmomen - probably you did not watch my video as a whole because otherwise you would have to say how easy it is
@morgonaut on Windows you just right click a network drive, select 'map network drive' option, assign drive letter and you're done. It will automatically mount and survive restarts, network disconnects, sleep/wake events, etc.
Both methods presented here will not help if your NAS spins the disks down to conserve power or if there is temporary network disconnect. Apple makes it unnecessarily complicated and unreliable.
@d_fens - don't say lies on my channel, I'm very sensitive to it!
What happens if you do this on a laptop, and log into the laptop when away from the local network?
Obviously it is not going to be able to mount the drives, I don't expect that, but will it show an error message or fail silently?
@katrinabryce - just think - if you will set up the script to mount it from outside network then it will work
