I'll be following Jessica on this channel. I'm so impressed with tgis short presentation because you did PMP & MBA in less than an hour. Thank you Jessica.
Please make a video about how you Aced the exam on your first try. I and many others would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for the work you do and the time and energy you put into teaching us.
Your communication and thorough explanation of Project Management as a whole and the skills desired to become successful is amazing! I'm currently in Engineering and looking into becoming a PM very soon....
You are so lucid in sharing invaluable information and the practical guidance is sooooo helpful and much appreciated. Thanks a ton. May you continue to prosper.
Thanks! 50 yrs old, healthcare background (MS Rehab Therapy) Having very tough time getting project experience as intern, or entry level coordinator. Even trouble breaking in with volunteering. Studying for capm, but you’re right. Experience is key. . Would love to see a video on how to create project experiences. How throwing a neighborhood fundraiser could fit in for example. I have meeting with a company who wants me to do marketing. I’m hesitant because I want PM experience. How can I approach my next job opportunity ( like healthcare marketer) to gain legit project manager experience? Lastly, looking back at my clinical healthcare career, just wondering if it’s possible to organize my extensive experience in a way that would be considered project management experience? Is that even possible? Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! My background is healthcare administration, so I started project management in the inpatient/outpatient world. It’s definitely possible for you! The CAPM is a great and will help you get your foot in the door. I’ll create a video on how to document your experience.
Hello, as a coordinator for my dept for my career in public health would you recommend I go straight into PMP cert or CAPM if I haven’t managed cross functional teams? I provide a lot of program support and coaching for different systems at work. I find that my colleagues come me to very often for support and assistance with many different things more than our manager. I’ve assisted in desktop procedures, created job aids, I process cases and task staff with follow ups on referrals. I’m currently doing a PMP 35 hour boot camp but I feel a little lost. I wonder if I study hard, I’ll be able to pass the PMP. Any advice helps Ty!
Hello, I am currently a Construction foreman, I’ve been in their field for 14 years. I’m looking to break into the Construction Project management industry. I’m wondering if I would be allowed to use my experience in construction towards the PMP requirements or is CAPM the way to go?
Hi Jessica, I was wondering if you think health care project management is a good start for someone with a psychology degree? I am also interested in getting my capm certification. What would I need to do in order to break into the field? Thank you!
Healthcare is a great industry with lots of job opportunities. To break into the field, there are several factors to consider to determine the best path for you. However, I would recommend focusing on landing an entry level role in healthcare such as a coordinator or assistant role and getting the capm cert.
I just transitioned from teaching and had a job interview for a potential role as a project manager at a healthcare buisness. I am competent and able to learn anything. Should I enrol for a course or certification as it's a whole new world for me. 🤍 thank youu
