Love your channel! How does the Euhomy compare to the NewAir ClearIce40? Is the Euhomy your new best clear ice maker? I'm getting ready to buy and I can't decide between the two.
I have had this ice maker for almost two weeks now. I love the ice but the ice maker occasionally makes a high-pitched screeching noise. Sometimes it lasts for up to ten minutes, sometimes only a few seconds. Is it defective? What might be making the noise? Any advice will help.
Would clear ice maker be better choice than non-clear for keeping a camp cooler fed with ice indefinitely? How much current does it draw? Can it run 24/7 off Solar?
Do you have to add vinegar or a cleaning solution for the self cleaning feature?
Does the overflow water recycle into the reservoir?
We have a Euhomy IM-02 and we are having a LOT of trouble getting it to stay on. Where can I get easy to understand directions for programing the ice maker. The panel looks a lot like the portable icemaker you just reviewed. It will not stay on to make more than one batch of ice.
Making ice in a non-freezing ambient temperature is a relatively new technology. Even the Roman Empire didn't have ice and they have the ability to ship goods all around the ancient world. So to have a machine to just spit out ice is insane to people prior to the 1930's.
How long will it keep the ice frozen?
U forgot to mention: does it stay plugged in and keep ice for days? Is it just used for that day? Or is it a cinstant supply of ice
How do you drain it?
You don't indicate if direct connect is an option on this item. (The packing list for this item indicates it comes with a "2 x supply pipe" and a "water supply connector". I am searching for a ice maker that isn't bullet ice that IS direct connect - with a timer! Please let me know if this model would fit the bill, or if you have a comparison chart of "direct connect" ice makers that I can review. Thank you!
My unit was working fabulously until I noticed the ice basket area was full of water. Where do I begin to fix? Being a novice I have only turned it off and scooped out the water. I was hoping it needed to thaw.
Under the basket? That’s how it should be - nothing is wrong. As long as it makes ice cubes of course.

I immediately put the ice into a Ziploc bag and give it a whack on the counter and it all breaks apart in one shot..
None are built to last. If any last 6 months your lucky, if you get a year or more that's almost unheard of! I would rather buy a small chest freezer for about same price, some ice trays and I'm good for decades! In a pinch buy a bag or two. Makes better,solid ,long lasting ice.
