    In this week's Olympians' Tips video, US-American Weightlifter CJ Cummings shows you how to improve your weightlifting Clean technique! The Clean is the first step in the Clean and Jerk. If you have a bad Clean, it is most likely that you will have a bad Jerk because they go hand- in hand.
    Short Recap for the Clean:
    1) Always make sure you have a hook grip
    2) You wanna have a narrow grip
    3) Back flat and chest up for starting the Clean
    4) Make sure to keep the bar close and elbows up
    Once you've done that you have a perfect Clean and you are ready for the jerk!

    Cool video thank you. I think the game changer for me when learning how to clean, was when I learned footwork, and how to catch in a power position. Rest was just practice and getting consistent enough to where I don't have to think about it, and to be able to go at it with confidence.

      Keep notice of your feet; make sure your toes are not facing sideways. If you look carefully, you'll notice CJ'S feet are pointed *straight* towards the camera.

      Could be related to tightness in the hips and ankle. Work on loosening and mobilizing your hips and ankles and it should take some tension off the knees.

    그러니까 이것을 참고 해야한다 이것이 조금의 기술이라는 것을.
    너는 급하게 해석하지마라 영상을, 이 영상은 충분히 의미 있다.

    • @klebersonnn
      @klebersonnn 3 роки тому +14

      @@Sam-ni6bc no, you don’t want to arch because you would probably force your lumbar spine into extension which will most definitely weaken your position and increase injury risk. Something tells me you probably know less about c+j technique than an olympian

    Iono man I felt like what he’s saying is not true to what he’s doing . Like don’t arch your back, his back is hella bent. Don’t grip wide. His grip is hella wide .
    Maybe not the best video for people to watch and try and learn off of.

      Arching the other way as in rounding bro smh, and not everybody has the lat, wrist, or shoulder mobility to go incredibly narrow like Clarence Kennedy.
