If i could only have 1 stove...which would it be ua-cam.com/video/ZUPiIU7hnB8/v-deo.html and is this budget stove as good as the jetboil ua-cam.com/video/I-2XQAaQJNE/v-deo.html
PLEASE SETTLE THIS : SOME SAY YES YOU CAN,OTHERS NOT....CAN YOU MAKE A STEW OR CAN OF SOUP IN THESE OR JUST WATER?
SOME CLAIM THE COATING ISNT FOOD SAFE(BUT IT IS WATER???) (THE WATER POT)
a vango ground level stove , jetboils arent the best up mountains . where you have to dig a hole to bury most of the things ( keep them from blowing over ) as for the full english breakfast you can cook the lot on an old spade 😀
Anyone else find it incredibly relaxing to simply watch these videos?
me.😺
@Maurice Miles man, bots must have super toxic relationships
Me 🤣
Yup!!!
The video makes me feel hungry.
A man who does a full cooked breakfast while “camping” in his backyard while filming, is a real man in my books!
Well... Who said its HIS backyard? xD
Could be he is 'stealth' camping. :)
Not sure the jetboil knew 🤔
I’ve always slept better outside anyways🤣
@@rasmuspedersen3563 Could be a coffee break in a stakeout shift....
This video is so relaxing to watch: the cooking noises, birds and best of all : no background music!
A man who loves his grub is a man you can trust. Nice one mate.
I was always told never trust a man who dont drink beer myself lol
Seems true- very few obese serial killers throughout history
@@cappaslangmurderer 😂😂😂
I’ve got a jetboil flash I’ve had it about eight years , I use it for motorcycle touring , it’s fast and efficient and hardly uses any gas and the small cylinder fits nicely inside , it’s not the cheapest but the quality of it is worth it to me and it’s never let me down
10:45 bro my heart stopped beating for a few seconds
I’m in bed about to get up, can’t get anymore relaxed than this . It’s called hypno therapy great video professionally done thanks
Ahhh, camping out in the wild, with no one around, in complete isolation. Nothing beats camping in East Sussex on a cold Autumn morning
Love that you've done this video and show what is possible, although I know I will never want to carry all the extra "stuff" you need to do this. It's okay for garden camping but it makes my camping breakfast of a pot noodle, an apple and a mug or two of instant coffee look positively barbarian :)
Does look like a lot of faff, way too much gear.
Really appreciate you keeping us going throughout this difficult time. Great content, very informative. Definitely makes me want to go wild camping when this is all over. Thanks mate.
Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we can properly enjoy the outdoors again. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
What an excellent exhibition of frying pan husbandry 🍳🍳🍳
I found it extremely relaxing watching him cooking the food, I’ve watched this video 3 different times.
Nifty little stove. Fry up is one of my fave things ever
I love a fry up too. You may be able to tell I eat too many of them haha. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.
I really do appreciate the fact that you do these videos, especially these days and despite the limitations.
BTW, the stove is really cool!
Cheers mate. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much. Really handy video. I like seeing the different abilities of the stoves, not just water boiling. This shows the different uses for meal making well. There's nothing I love more than making breakfast in the woods!
I’m impressed. Definitely a better breakfast than some hotels in the world. Thumbs up.
"camping" in your backyard just to make a UA-cam video of a full course breakfast using the Jetboil.....respect!!!
I’m starving after watching this! Time for a full english buttie!
Thanks, I had no guess what the word was. For anybody else wondering about the etymology: ' "slice of bread and butter," 1855, northern English, from butter (n.) + -y (2).'
Wow........ I've just drowned in my own saliva watching this.....😋
This dude is enjoying himself so much, and it rubs off on me. God damn. I had this stove for 5 years. It still my top dog stove.
The heroic backyard quarantine refuge camping 💪💪💪 where you can be attacked by friends and relatives at anytime 😅😅
Family and friends worse than bears
Great video Paul. I really wan to go for a wild camp but can’t 🤣😭 make sure your out camping as soon as this passes over! Appreciate you making content for us all to watch over lock down! Stay safe!
Cheers! Jack.
Thanks Jack. It’s the only thing keeping me sane. Look after yourself
I'm bloody starving after watching this.
One hour until I'll be home for dinner.
Great video Paul. I'm definitely buying the skillet.
Used my jetboil pan the first time this weekend, what a brill bit of kit worth every penny
Oh my god Paul! You never fail to entertain me. I am only 16 and quite frankly, i can safely say that its hard to amuse people of my age group. So for that, you deserve a pat on the back! Can I recommend that you do a Q&A. I know, i know, your thinking to yourself “Q&A’s aren’t unique” but in this case, i really want to see some of the things that go on in your daily life, outside of all the camping malarkey. Anyway, stay safe Paul and i hope that lockdown isn’t going to carry on for too long so you can get back out into the wilderness, making some more of the quality content that you produce. Thanks Paul. -Dan 👍
I think I'm going to do a live stream this week sometime. So hopefully i can answer a fair amount of questions then. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Wow! You hearted my comment. Thanks Paul! It means a lot!
@@danieldalton9055 you are a great 16 year old, and you sound like a wise young man. You remind me of my son back when he was your age, and he has carried his wisdom, work ethic and motivation into adulthood in his work and his family life.
Go well young man, there is something special about you! ❤️🤗👍🏾
From a New Zealand Nana who still loves hiking and camping. 🏕
You don't even need hot water for the aeropress, you can make cold brew. It's on their website, you just put a scoop of coffee in, cold water on top and stir for a minute. Press down and you get a surprisingly good cup
Good day to you.
I am a senior rider on HONDA Cross Cub from Japan.
Enjoying touring ,camping and video uploading.
This is so nice camp gear video
Wow, this stove really looks great. Simple and easy
This was torture. I am from Macclesfield, now in the USA, I miss the bacon and sausages. Thanks for sharing this breakfast.
You can get sausages and british style bacon in the US...
Well impressed with that man !!!!
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.
Stove is brilliant, particularly the grooves stopping the pan from sliding off. Great relaxing vid
A really simple yet useful feature. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Nope I press the like button before I watched the video I've been power viewing through your hole video assortment so far I've loved them all
Never seen beans cooked in a frying pan before, that’s a new one on me haha 👍
Why not? saves on washing up too haha. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and look after yourself my friend.
Oo I like that Jetboil pan!
The skillet is great. It evens out the heat well across the pan, and the non stick surface if the best I've come across to date. Thanks for watching my friend
That was the most satisfying video ever.
Paul you're a legend.
I've been contemplating the merits of taking a frying pan with me on my trip but looking at that breakfast you've sold me on the idea
The skillet is great. It evens out the heat well across the pan, and the non stick surface if the best I've come across to date. Thanks for watching my friend
@@PaulMessner Hi Paul, what size is the skillet please?
I also like sugar and milk in my coffee 😋 everything looks delicious man!
You are incredibly wholesome and nice man! I love watching your videos
That is a very well thought out and designed stove. The first cool think I noticed was the canister stand folded up and slotted into the pot lid. Very practical.
I just pack coffee bags and throw them in the jet boil for filter coffee with no mess. One less thing to carry.
didn't know they where a thing. nice
Where do you pick up these bags? Or do you just tie off regular coffee filters?
@@SherWoodBs My favourite, that I use in the cab of my van, is Colombian Personal Drip Filter Coffee from Sainsbury's Taste the Difference. It's a bag/sachet of coffee grounds. You rip the head off the bag, open the wings that go over the edge of your mug and then then just pour water into it. No need for all the extra gubbins of the cafetiere. Hey presto a lovely mug of coffee that is easy to control for taste. I've tried Taylors's of Harrogate coffee bags that you throw into a mug of water, but they come a very poor second for taste/strength to the one's Ive just described.
Great to see there are still a few wild places left in the U.K. not that we’re overcrowded or anything
I agree with all of the previous comments, a very soothing video and informative. Plus no annoying background music. Great video Sir, Thank You!
Love the minimo, I’ve used one for a while. Very economical on gas I’ve found. Never bothered with the coffee filter though. Hopefully soon be back out on Dartmoor wild camping. Stay safe
It's my new go to cooking setup. Really pleased how it's performing. The aeropress makes great coffee. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we can properly enjoy the outdoors again.
Thanks for watching.
@@PaulMessner i cant see how wild camping can be affected by corona your on your own middle of no where
Another good video Paul, I will be getting into wild camping when this all finally returns to some normality, living in North Wales I'm very lucky to have my pick of places & I've been following you for a while now for inspiration. Stay safe mate
Look after yourself too Harry. Glad the videos are helping
Why can't you go camping....😕⁉️ Isn't the wood isolated
@@anthonymurphy5850 unfortunately I had a cancer scare 18 months ago, After several tests it transpires that I have type 2 diabetes & since been diagnosed asthmatic too, lucky me double whammy. So while this Corona Virus is all around us I will not be leaving the house unless its absolutely necessary my friend.
Yes I am very sorry to hear about that of course by ALL MEANS TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF....I just meant I try to avoid all problems and people to get out there to the Wood's...to clear my head from all this worried..and paranoia...it bothers me that the Media got us afraid to sit on our front porch...but yes take care of yourself and when this pedemic is over ..I hope you enjoy your special place in the woods...like I have....Paul Messner has a positive affect on me to do just that.🌤️☺️Get strong and Well Harry.
@@anthonymurphy5850 Thanks for your kind words, I definitely will be getting out there when all this has finally passed. Stay safe matey.
I always enjoy Paul’s you tube clips and as of recently, the longer videos. I don’t know about everyone else but watching all of the you tube channel videos during the lockdowns really helped me. This comment is really a BIG thank you to Paul Messner … you’re a star ⭐️ Dude 😉👍👍 Best wishes to Jo as well 👍
In hospital at this moment salivating, nil by mouth, gonna go to cafe when I come home
Hi Paul, I'm on my second Jetboil, my first lasting 15 years. I bought the Zip model to replace the old one but that one you have is much more refined! The gas knob is much safer on yours being able to control it further from the flame. I'm liking the recess in the lid for the cannister stand too! Happy home camping, Paul
I really like the stove. It's very efficient with the fuel and the simmer control is very precise. The skillet is great too. It evens out the heat well across the pan, and the non stick surface if the best I've come across to date. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Paul, my friend, you are a wizard with a camp stove. This is how you camp in your backyard. Love the little table also. Where did you get that?
It's from valley and peak. there's a link in the description of the video. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and look after yourself my friend.
Freaking fantastic. I have been on a tear for the proper Fry Up. No better way to start the day! Went way back for this video, but been a fan for quite some time. How far you've come since! But I'd love to see you do another full English in the backcountry or the Moors.
That breakfast looks amazing. My favorite meal of the day.
Almost perfect review. Until you put milk and sugar into the black coffee
Sugar not so bad, but milk, a definite no no
I was wondering if there is any coffee left in this pot of sugar..
milk yes
I actually gasped at the sugar, like I was expecting a bit, not a mountain haha. Cannot have any sugar in my coffee, like 0, but a tiny bit of milk.
Once you go black you don’t go back
I wondered where my opened knife went. I've had to buy another one. Look after it please.
I will do Stephen. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Fry up looks amazing.
cant believe I have just pent my lunch time watching someone cook breakfast :) Good times.
The only thing missing Paul, are the hills in the background .. now where’s that green screen? 😉
By the way, the metal filters you can get for the Aeropress are really good. I got mine from Amazon.
I'd seen the metal ones. I will get one once I'm out of the filter that came with it. There's only so much I can do with a green screen.
@@PaulMessner Try wetting the filter before putting in your coffee. Some people say they can taste the difference when the filter is dry.
Paul, any tips for how to keep meat etc cooled when heading out in this lovely warm weather we’ve been getting?
Carry an electric coolbox with a solar panel taped to your head whilst you are trekking 👍
A small cool bag with thin ice packs will keep your meat usable for 3 days easily, I take a couple every trip in the summer. The MIER small lunch box bag (£8.99 for 2) and the Thermos Freezeboard Ice Packs 200g (£7.12 for 2, x2) on Amazon fit together perfectly. I add a little cardboard inside, above and below, for extra insulation but it’s not necessary, it helps the bag keep its structure more than anything.
What about tin foil
I'd just think about what you're taking but meats alright for a while or you could just freeze it and let it thaw before cooking it but you could use cured meats like bacon, prosciutto, chorizo which are fine hanging in the atmosphere
Jet boil looks sick but I don't boil that much water or like gas cans so not for me and I only like music videos but I watched your video instead of finding another after asking for likes
Great video as always, i love that you take the time to answer most of the comments, stay safe !
I think I'm hungry now!! That's a neat little rig! Thanks for the review.
Hi Paul, we were out in the garden last night
It’s pretty much our only outlet to camping at the moment. It was great how many people supported the cause.
Yes. Me too. It got down to 7° overnight, but I was warm enough except for my face, which was "quite cool."
My budy I'd say has a bigger one when it comes to coffee, he likes a little bit of coffee with his sugar. I'm like damn. 😅
Thanks for the video Paul! My daughter camped her way from Savannah, Georgia, to Los Angeles last Spring. She has a Jet Boil too and she loves it! Thanks for keeping us all engaged! -Kevin
It's my new go to cooking setup. Really pleased how it's performing. Thanks for watching.
My favorite breakfast! Well done!
Love the look of the pan, my current one needs upgrading and this one looks perfect. Cheers 👍
Love the Jetboil, I've had the Flash for over 12 years now, a brilliant piece of kit... Love the channel too ✅, keep them coming 👍
I know this video is about enjoying time in nature but it was still more relaxing to watch than I expected.
I actually love this, it’s so relaxing. Good job
These backyard videos are great Paul. Good for you having such a positive attitude during this virus craziness! I think I'm gonna start camping in my backyard too, its like being a kid again. And my wife won't mind I'm sure.
Absolutely amazing!
Getting out this weekend for the first time in a long while in the Mourne Mountains over in Northern Ireland. Think il be making a full Irish ;) but thanks for the inspiration for breakfast!
Always good to see small tips/ideas like this to add a bit more enjoyment to the camp!
Fantastic job on a tiny stove, tiny pan!
I can nearly smell that breakfast 👍🏼😋
Thanks for keeping us UA-cam viewers going 👍
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.
This is awesome. My son recently tried to fry an egg on a backpacking stove. This takes it to a whole new level.
Little tip ive found, it you put the plunger at position 4, take the filter cap off, then pour the water onto the coffee. (Let the water cool a little first, you dont want to scold the coffee) then put the filter and cap on, spin and plunge. Better tasting coffee.
I'll have to try that. Thank you. The aeropress is a bit of a faff but it makes a great cup of coffee. But if you are outdoors, or camping then there's no rush so the faff is worth it. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Love watching your videos. Thanks so much for making them!
Closed my eyes and I was in the hills. Another great video showing another brilliant product. Cant wait to see more vids in the countryside. Keep up sending more inspirational vids and more importantly...keep safe!!
Cheers Doug. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we can properly enjoy the outdoors again. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
That bread is huge!!!! Love your video
Looks terrific! Nice way to stay outdoors!
Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we can properly enjoy the outdoors again. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
This looks soo good! Im going to camp in my backyard soon! Your videos are really inspiring!
Why am i watching this at 3:30 am? I am soo hungry now.
Also the sound of birds singing is one if life's pleasures.
Love the vids paul keep em comming.
Love it! So one can eat hearty with a jet boil and not stuck with soup and dehydrated meal packs. Thanks amigo!
great demo from a Brit in South Africa...theres only one place you can really get a true English breakfast....and now in a jetboil, really cool!!!
Paul. What a delight to see your videos during these rotten times. I have watched you for a long time and this will be my first comment. Fantastic, food looked lush, great stove review. You do seem rather hard to beat withing the camping and wild camping scene. Stay safe and keep your fantastic videos coming.
That was brilliant. Definitely gonna try
Bloody good breakfast (from phoenix Arizona)
I'm buying this tomorrow, perfect for what I wanna do
Best part is seeing an Opinel in your video :)
You made me hungry! That stove works great
spot on mucka. lovely job.
Nothing will stop Paul camping! Nice vid as always :)
Best of gear, camps out back garden 👏👏
Great video Paul. I've been using the jetboil since my army days, it's a great piece of kit. The frying pan looks to be a new improved product. I have bought on separate occasions, the fluxring pan. Both pans were awful, both only heated the centre of the pan due to the flux ring which burnt the food continuously. The heat would not go beyond the ring to the outer edge of the pans. Needless to say I opted for the GSI pan. Still it's an invaluable piece of kit that goes everywhere with me.
everything you do is just awesome!!!
Nice to see you were involved too Paul ,nice one ,and I must say a cracking effort on the breckie mate 👍
Cheers Steve. It's not the same though is it. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we can properly enjoy the outdoors again.
Itching mate ..itching
Lovely to find an interesting channel on this side of the Atlantic producing good videos, especially one's involving JetBoil's Minimo Stove and a delicious, beautifully cooked breakfast!
The good presentation and narration hugely benefitted from not having a competing soundtrack, something other channels would benefit from adopting!
On the basis of the good presenter and content I'm happy to have subscribed and look forward to seeing your other videos.
Love the jet boil
Me too Mike. Thanks for watching
Breakfast looks delicious. Great netbook
I could just eat that now brilliant
