I'm so glad AC7 sold so well, and I'm assuming the DLCs too. With how expensive games get, I'm always afraid of how more niche titles do. Plenty of games and series get put on hold due to unreasonable sales expectations not being met. I know us fans are passionate, but since I've never had an AC fan among my friend groups it's hard for me to get a sense of how many people buy the games. I'm happy to see the series is set to continue.

@@randallmart92 call of booty as flawed as it is, put gaming into the mainstream or at least it was part of it... and for all the good that has done it showed the big corporate types how profitable games can be which is why for years now games have tried so hard to copy the formula of those early big hits. And this has been what has killed or at least made it really hard to make games in the many niche franchises.

I still think of AC Zero as the best. I loved the live action cutscenes over the animated ones, the soundtrack was excellent and I really liked the way boss battles changed depending on player aggression or restraint. Added a little bit of role play and consequences to it which was quite nice.
ILCA, the devs behind the 3DS Pokemon games & they also helped with the development of AC7 with the environments & cinematic action scenes. So some talented people there.

It's amazing that AC7 went from "development hell" and almost cancelled to being the highest selling AC game in the series. Quite the turnaround!
But I am HYPED for this new installment in the series! Of course, the question remains whether it's gonna be AC8 or AC Infinity 2.0 or something different altogether. It's very interesting take if they do decide to branch off from their usual formula. Cause that can really make or brake a dev studio. Regardless, I am excited and really proud to see a resurgence in popularity with Ace Combat.
I hope its the PS2 Trilogy brought to PC and modern graphics. In terms of music and story dev, it's done for them. That said, they would still have to re-license the planes...
Just goes to show how good the community is. Also neat PFP, hope the Killzone games get another soon, last one was in 2013 and a cliffhanger.

Picture it. It takes place in the future. General Resources starts getting aggressive against Osean counties they all band together to fight against the Megacorp. The situation is dire and Osea allows Belka to rebuild it's military and you play as a Belkan fighter
@@its-amemegatron.9521 General Resources is Belka, my dude. All in all, I feel that being a Belkan Ace will be more feasible in a more Cold War/WWII setting. We still have the Osean War from early century, in which Belka may or may not have been heavily involved.

The amount of planes they could choose from, and the top tech tree vehicles could be me262s and Ho229s and other experimental aircraft, main antagonist could fly a Komet, and since there’s no missiles it would be hard to hit his plane

When I saw they were getting new staff, the Project Wingman crew immediately came to mind.
Although in my opinion, RBD2 and Jose Pavli needs to make the next Project Wingman Series as the competitor of the next AC.
Don't get me wrong, but I bet the fans of AC will definitely but the PW as well. Competition always makes things better and interesting between developers, and also for us, the fans that will follow wholeheartedly until the countries have no borders..

Belka vs General Resource, I like that premise.
Well, UPEO - the fraction we play in the very beginning of AC3 - exclusively used the aircraft which Belka was fond of, like Su-37 or Su-47, so it might work just fine.
I know theres companies that works with the US that buys the "only sold in Japan" stuff and packs and ships it internationally. I fell in love with the MiniDisc music format, but most decent players are sold only in Japan and I've used them before. I might have to find out how much it costs to get a "Yo Buddy. Still Alive?" jacket sent out. The fact nobody else around would have it kind of makes it even better, I just need to find out how many Japanese size X'es in the XL translates to US XL size...

Tom clancys Hawx 2 had a couple of features never seen before in Ace Combat, I should dearly love to see them or summit similar in the new game being developed! (drum roll) 👌🤞
All I'd want from Hawx 2 is the TV missiles, and MAYBE the precision weapons. The horde mode feels like something that could end up eating way more dev time and resources than planned and end up taking away from the rest of the game.
@@trekker105 Tom clancys hawx 2 allowed you to guide the plane yourself on the Air base ground and land at will whenever! Rather than watch a cutscene!
Tom clancys hawx 2 also had larger planes aside from jet fighters to enjoy using such as the B2 spirit to the AC130 gunship!
It also allowed you to colour an fettle (modify) an aircrafts colour to your hearts content!

@@eaphantom9214 ace combat 6 did mid mission landings first and way better, ace combat assault horizon already did bombers and spookys, ace combat has had skin selection since the very beginning (and I don't think most planes in Hawx get more than 2 skins, a fair few only have 1).
Although I will say that the custom load outs in Hawx 2 were loads of fun. Still not sure whether I prefer a Frogfoot with 8 gunpods or a Hog with 6 (I do think I lean towards the Frog)

Not gonna lie, I just finished watching top gun again for the 500th time and was about to go to sleep when I saw zaptroxix post something about a “ project aces working on a new project” I suddenly woke up then scrolled down further and saw this video. When I saw the start it got me so hyped and the biggest smile spread across my face lmao, even though I’m new to the AC series I kinda felt teary and so hyped and happy after the starting announcement / meme lmfao

In their lore the Boeing X-32 went on serial production as the F/A-32C Erne. But the recently presented Sukhoi SU-75 Checkmate bears some striking resemblance with the former JSF program competitor.

I think if they did an AC3 remake, they'd do it when the main game timeline has caught up to when ac3 takes place. So we might have to wait a game or 2 before then.
It will only be good if its based on the Japanese version. The international release sucked from what I can gather because 3/4 of the game was region locked

remasters are preferable, 3 is fine as it is just needs to be translated and updated to modern hardware.

Just like they did with AC 5 and 6 for PS4 and Xbox 1

Remaking the games from the ground up is pointless, besides only one game will be able to get that treatment since it demands creating something new entirely.
While with remasters you can do that with the that with the games in the PS1, PS2, PSP and 6.
5 and 6 already got that treatment but they are locked behind preorder bonuses or backwards compatibility
Yes, I just bought an old PS2 and AC4, 5, Belkan War and the 6th for the 360 a week ago.
Maybe instead of re-skinning the same four planes this time, they can actually have a variety of military aircraft to choose from? Do we really need four versions of the f-15, six versions of the SU27, etc?

The one thing you can do to make this game even better is CO-OP. More and more games have online play but Death Match, every man for himself. Make this new game have COOP play, so you can have 1 or 2 of your buddies group up to play against the computer missions. F22 Raptor Lightening by NovaLogic (I know back in the days..) had COOP against the PC missions and it was great. Please bring this back.
I had no idea about the opening ceremony and it got my hairs rising, although I feel like 'The unsung war' or even 'The journey home' would have been more shocking and interesting for all who don't know AC

Last year got to experience both Ace combat 7 and Project Wingman and to be honest I couldn't decide which one I'd the best, I love both of them

I mean, they say "New Ace Combat project", so with that being so vague, it could be a remaster of one of the older games, a remake or just porting them over to PC/newer gen hardware. Tho with that new X-49 model they showed off, I'm sticking to my permanent high hopes of AC3 (japanese version) getting remade (and translated)
Given the best selling titles are the games set in Strangereal I would think that they would keep it in universe, it also avoids a few of the pesky issues with trademark names for aircraft makers.
I hope the next Ace Combat we get to fight as Yuktobania or Belka.

Personally I'm hoping for a massive hd collection/remaster of all the Ace Combat games on the PC and consoles. Imagine how many more people would get into the series if they would rerelease 4 and Zero on the PC? Those are the most known ones aside from 7, and it'd be a huge hit with fans both new and old. God I need these games man.
Please make ace combat 8. There is no competition these days for these types of game. Which sucks because I want more!! I’ve been replaying ace combat 7 over and over. I’ve purchased all parts and planes and have 3,400,000 units currently lol I don’t care for the multiplayer tbh which is why this and project wingman are the only other modern air combat games I can play. Also if anyone sees this comment please give me recommendations. The only critique I have of ace combat 7 is I wish planes would actually crash instead of just exploding. That and the plane selection is great though there are a few missing and it’d be cool if we could solo fly dual seaters. For me it’s just immersion breaking because who’s the copilot? Lol and why does everyone else not need one like Mihayl and Spare 8 I think it is the one who fly’s the F-18?
