You will regret it! For a few dollars now, 20yrs from now your gunna want the vehicle that brought you so many memories and put your channel on the map…

Ronny for me you remain number 1 on UA-cam. I've been watching you for many years and no matter what car you drive, you remain the travel king! Best regards from Germany!
Although it was heavy, i loved the look of the full canopy of Stage II. I fondly remember the days with you in the Stage II 79, your Dad in his Jeep, Torbin in Little Bear and Wayne in his truck cruising WA. So good, Always felt like I was riding along with you boys. thanks
This legendary 79 got me into watching build vidoes and ultimately following Ronny's channel since 2019 and every other Aussie 4 wheel drive channel. Sad to see the old boy go. Thanks for the memorable 79 memories.
You just killed your UA-cam first child. I will always remember your early days coming out from this car with a big smile. Yes the car is old but its been your loyal servant bring you back home every trip. Its a sad day for long time follower like me.
Damn.. Started watching your channel in 2014, still love your old videos doing muddy Brunswick. Absolutely an incredible vehicle that has taken you to some spectacular places over the years, looking forward to watching your future adventures. Long live the V8 79 👍
I am so glad you kept the Troopy! It is your family vehicle and memories with family are very precious. The 79 on the other hand is your signature vehicle, it has been a part of you that has inspired ordinary folks to get our there in their 4bys and have a go. It is such an iconic beacon and l am sure others like me would love to be given opportunities to make our own memories in it, to add to the history and story of this vehicles amazing life.
I still remember getting very confused by seeing a giant poster of it outside a 4x4 shop in Bogota, Colombia. They'd just ripped it off to use as marketing because it was such a great looking vehicle.
@Ronny Dahl Very disappointed you have associated yourself with a mob like this. With the opportunity to win your 79, I went straight to the link you provide to buy a ticket. Being the cynical old fart that I am I checked a few things like terms and conditions, then ABN & ASIC search. I will NOT buy a ticket now and would suggest no one does until they fully understand what they are getting into and who they're supporting. Otherwise love your channel and enjoy every episode.

think its only available to Australian residents so its a no go for me anyway otherwise i wouldve chipped in 5 bucks. They will probably make a killing doing it via raffle.
Going from enclosed vehicles like the Suburban to a Pick up, I can say I am not surprised you let the tray back 79 go. There are a ton of benefits in having an enclosed cabin.
Can't believe it!!! Have watched since the start. For me it's stage 2 simple "cheap" canopy with plenty of space and practical. For me I have a 105 for the hard stuff... The 76s are just so small in the back...
Time to say goodbye…that’s a song!!! Life changes…the world turns. Sometimes the most rewarding experiences are those that are the hardest to make a decision for. Good on you!
I thought the troops was going for sure. A very hard decision for you no doubt. The best rear set-up on the 79 is the one that is on it now. Light, well thought out and looks good.
I get it! But your going to have big regrets over this. You always remember your first, and you’ll always love and miss this car. And so will the fans! Your best content was filmed in the 79, those long form raw videos that were in 3-6 parts, traveling across large stretches of country with Torban and Wayne. The glory days!!
Never thought this day would come! Mind I say, your truck is what inspired me to get a 79 in the first place! Will miss it on the channel. Good luck mate!
This is your signature vehicle. The 79 is the child of your UA-cam channel. I cannot phantom your emotions selling it. I thought you’d sell the Troopie. But as the father I know you are I understand why you’re selling the 79. My favorite of your 79’s? The current one.
Sad to see the 79 go, it was such an icon not just for the channel but also as a 4WD in general. Stage IV was the most iconic look for me, it was also the time I started modifying my own rig, but Project Black is definitely the sexiest look and I've used that as an inspiration for my personal setup.
I think the 150000km update video Ronny literally said “if you ever see this car up for sale don’t buy it. But that’s ok because I’ll never sell this car” after stating how hard it’s been used😂
Favorite version? The heaviest over-laden era with 'The Lot'...powering through everything irrespective of the weight like a metal god. Best vehicle ever. Thanks for the memories...
For me my favourite vids have always been the ones you've done on the south coast - setup doesn't matter! In particular, the stuff around Bremer Bay. Stunning locations, amazing drives, paradise-like camping.
I have loved that 79 for so many years, watching all the different configurations. But the trips and adventures, second to none. A truly superior channel, and a superior host and a damn fine bloke. Now done to business, if I win it, I'll pay for the shipping to Vancouver, Canada!
Congratulations Ronny, you have done soooo much and shared it warts and all with us , we have learnt lessons by the dozen, we have chosen mods in a special personal way irrespective of the base vehicles we own ! Never stop, we value your input too much !
Good decision Ronny and one you shouldn’t have to justify - your a mature fellah now with a young family having more practical needs - I’d love a new Troopy auto for a 2 person traveller being much nicer to drive than messing around with a clutch pedal while stalling on steep tracks inclines and using extra fuel - I enjoy my automatic Hilux/Aluminium canopy (lift off) setup for farm/touring duties but would definitely choose the new auto Troopcarrier for dedicated touring duties around Australia and I expect to see a lot more of them as folk dump their manual V8s for something more practical and much nicer to drive.
The 79 what a beauty , any Aussie will be lucky to win 👍 the troopy is definitely a family 4x4 great stuff Ronny fantastic to pass on the fun to the new owner 🎉
Good luck to you guy's!!! I'm in America and cant enter sadly. I started watching Ronny many years ago while searching off road instructional content and fell in love with the 79. I would consider moving there if I could win actually would love to live there period. Best wishes to you all.
The end of an era! At least the V8 will live on in the Troopy. My favourite set up is still Project Black. To me it was the best of both worlds by having both a canopy and a tray.
I did not think you would sell the 79, but as we get older we need change in our lives, but I will miss it. Maybe who ever wins it you could go on an adventure with them.
You’re off ya head but if you didn’t sell 1 you’d have a small car yard in your driveway! But I would go the new tray with the project black canopy then the wheels on the back with the little hidy hole 👌
I mean.. could be yours again for 5 buck 😂. I sold my first 4x4 in 2019. I still regret that rig. Canadian Jeep Wrangler 2010. 6 speed 3.8L V6 .. you've driven one in USA, you know how fun they are. But life changes, situation and needs too. If anything, you'll make other memories with new rigs. At the end, as long as you enjoy it, it's well enough.

Wishing those that win this vehicle the best of times outdoor. I'm sad that I can't participate because I live in Oman. But.. I enjoyed watching these videos. Thank you Rhony and team.
I’m gonna miss that truck! That’s the only reason why I subbed. You make epic videos about it with it being balanced and stylish like no other else. That truck motivates me to build my truck as the same way being LIGHTWEIGHT and Stylish.
Good Day from Alabama, USA. I've been watching from the beginning. The 79 has been a beast, and I've love the ride from the beginning. I know the content is just as great without it. It was a tool of your desire, and that drive will remain the same. Keep up the great work. Cheers
No thanks Ronny, been watching a YT channel where a 2.8L 76 has been kicking unexpectedly hard, the arse of a 79😆. Understand ya choking up though, not too many bumps you haven’t bounced over in the 79 but the 76 has snatched your heart like a wedgey does a rabbit..a dive attack out of nowhere…classic bush love story..
Sad to see the 79 go, but you've made the correct choice Ronny. You've always looked to develop things and try something new. Sleipnir is developed as far as you can take it and anything more would be just re-treading old ground. The 78 is a different style of travelling that you are yet to fully explore on your channel. And the 76 is obviously where Toyota are heading in the next few years. (Goodbye 4.5L V8 😢). And the PCOR tray stage was my favourite.
Wow, that would have to be one of the most iconic 4x4s in Australia. It would be really great for it to go to someone who will keep using it to make adventure videos. It would be sad indeed if we never got to see it again. It was the heart of this channel for such a long time.
I started watching this channel back when it was you and your old man going on adventures with Wayne and Torbs so the first version with the overweight canopy is a sentimental favourite.
Stage 2 was my favourite but in 2nd place I pick the latest (Stage 8). Its been an incredible journey following you and the 79 for past 11 years - Thank you.
My favourite set-up is the stripped back set up that you just sold....and I hope to win. :) Why? Lower weight, swag and fishing/hunting gear in the back with food, and I'm good to go.
Hopefully they made an offer you couldn’t refuse 😊…. Good publicity for Ausso… I’m going to enter the competition 👍. Appreciate all your videos mate. Thank you!

All good things come to an end eventually. Wish you well Ronny, great channel, won’t be the same for me without a V8 79.

So sad to see this vehicle go because again it's what inspired me to go out and tour or overland. Looking forward to other builds and sad to see an icon go. I loved all the builds but definitely liked the light weight builds the most.
This is so sad. This is one of my most favorite cruusers on the net, I would love turning heads back in that thing.
I drove the v8 with a tune as well as a Mercedes benz g wagon diesel . Both are bare bones but G Wagon is crazy underrated lol.
Im yet to drive the new 2.8 would be interesting to see the difference.
Didn't realise you got rid of it, saw it driving through Adelaide yesterday
For any of the build stages are a keeper for me. Why? Well because I’ll never be able to own the 79 series in the USA unless it’s over 25yrs old.
You should have turbo charged it. And then compared it with the 4 banger.
