Absolutely agree with most of the points you made here and definitely preferred the book. One thing in particular I thought Isaka did better that wasn't mentioned was Hiyoko's ending. She felt like a much more prominent villain in the book through her scenes with The Whale, and because of how calculating and sadistic she proved herself to be I felt like it was a much more fitting comeuppance that as the last one left she couldn't bear the burden of all of the sins of Fraulein alongside the Whale haunting her beyond the grave. Instead of just being poisoned by the Hornet in the middle of a larger fight scene.
Finally I get to watch your video! I finished reading the book last night and hopefully I can watch the film this weekend. I found the film online but it is in Japanese and there are no English subs so I am going to have to watch and follow with the storyline of the book!
@@ledot2037maou juvile remix, amazing series with twist in the middle sadly it has not been scanlated and can only be found in libraries, read this back around 2015

If I'm remembering right I think it's available on UA-cam for free with subtitles!
What did you think of the book?
I will look for the UA-cam version of the film with subs! Thanks!
@@WhytheBookWins I enjoyed it. I saw the film Bullet Train before being aware of Three Assassins.
There’s also the official manga sequel
Which is it?

it's a small thing but kujira and semi are just translations of whale and cicada
Oh interesting, I had thought they just changed their names
Its super confusing because when i read the manga prequel it was confusing
Hi so it’s a translated book? Is it a good translation? Always wondered how translating affects the style thanks
yeah this and Bullet Train were originally written in Japanese. I can't read Japanese so I'm not sure how the original compares with the translation.
@@WhytheBookWins if it sounds good to you I’ll check it out:-)
