- An aggressive encounter between raccoon dogs and a badger was documented by a camera-trap at the badger outlier. As far as we could find out the full story, a breeding couple of raccoon dogs placed their cubs in a dense grass nearby an outlier burrow of badgers. An adult badger was purposed to visit the outlier, but it was suddenly attacked by the parental raccoon dogs. After a short fight the badger escaped.

European badgers aren’t as aggressive as their American cousins but can still pack a punch if they get attacked or cornered. European badgers have been known to attack and kill raccoon dogs that enter their setts

They are, but the strong side of raccoon dogs (not raccoons) is that they are almost all time walk with a partner

They are raccoon dogs. They were introduced to Europe from Eastern Asia as a result of escapees or deliberate releases from fur farms and now they are widespread across most of Europe. Foxes have longer tails and longer legs than a raccoon dog
