Highly unlikely to change the outcome but when Rakdos Charm, there was 6 creatures and at 6 life, but 1 of the creatures (Rick) had lifelink and the creatures are dealing the damage. So Jim would be at 1.
true, but Jim should have had two less life because the delayed skull clamp meant two less cards bottomed/drawn off the puzzle box so it would probably have panned out the same way.
I'm actually curious doesn't lifelink happen after damage? Or does it happen on damage? I always thought lifelink wouldn't save someone in the case of like lifelinker blocking trample.
@@Shinyrocky69879 Lifelink happens simultaneously, which is also part of why multiple instances of lifelink don't stack. It used to work that way as a triggered ability, but that was changed around the time damage stopped using the stack.
28:07 - Last Known Information doesn't work for spells resolving, or anything where the thing that moved was a target rather than an origin.
(source: 113.7a, which is the LKI rule as far as I can tell, only mentions abilities)
30:25 - Commanders going to hidden zones are still a replacement effect, it's only an SBA when moving to graveyard/exile.
Also, I wonder how the Therosian Demigod feels about being called "Anex" on the overlay.
Things I didn't expect this week: Bill's return & Kelsien running the table once more... LOL
Great to see Bill back!
Great video Gents
Hey Bill, hope you've been well :) Thanks for being here, glad to have you
Love the energy hope their was more games with Bill filmed
Been watching a lot of old spike feeder casual games. I really love the decks Elliot brings. I love unique decks that don’t do the average thing
Biiiiillll!!!!! Omg I've missed him sm!!!! Welcome back and stick around
Turns out even a black pile of cards I own when they tax drawing cards is still really good. Even if Bill was knocked out 2nd, his deck made the most impact on life totals.
For the last few weeks I've been thinking about how there was one Spike Feeder I hadn't seen in a long time and now here he is! Welcome back Bill, don't be such a stranger. Also, uh huh.
If Alex had pinged Ragavan in response to EvoSage or the EvoSage trigger then he would have had an experience counter in addition to his poison counter and Eliot would have either not proliferated him, or would have had to proliferate his experience counter too.
That intro 🤣 Welcome back to the game, Bill!
Two of my first commanders getting back into Magic in this millennia - Mothman and Lucea Kane. Nice to see them piloted and targeted like I do.
That Kelsien start was disgusting and no one could deal with any of the pieces. Not surprised how it ended.
Also, great to see Bill back! Although now I'm starting to feel old when I think that he was JUST on the channel but it was actually multiple years? o.o
Cool to see bill back. Fun game to watch.
Would love to see bill come back for more casual games like this! Was nice to see him playing mtg again
So excited when I saw Bill was back. Hope we get to see more of him in the near future. Missed ya dude
It always cracks me up when people try to point to where a link will be and end up pointing at every part of the screen.
It's even funnier when there isn't even a link! Just gesticulating.
update: man this episode has great energy. love it
BILL HYPE!!
Great game gentlemen!
And there goes my Anthrax and Cyanide reference. 😢
Hilarious intro. Welcome back Bill. I didn’t notice either
It didn't come up, (it almost did though) but a little interaction that always amuses me is that if someone wants to proliferate poison on you when you have experience they also have to proliferate the experience as well. The opposite is also true.
"shout out to OUR Infernal Sovereign" 🤣🤣🤣
Hell yeah, love to see Bill back
Just like in the old days, we got a somewhat blurry card window in the center
Ngl I wanna watch Bill play Edison format yugioh and I want to see him play X Sabers or Six Samurai 😂
Him and Eliot have been playing a lot of Edison lately!
@@TheSpikeFeeders easily the best thing I've read all day! Hopefully we see some of it even if it's not edited, that sounds fun!
Didn't notice the card back using the infamous 6th color purple until the 40 mins mark lol
GREAT now I wanna make a kelsen deck
Who knew Sheoldred (detuned) is still a gross threat? Ew.
lmao it was just underworld dreams
“That was such a long walk” 🤣🤣🤣
What an intro! Love it
So nice to see Bill again!

39:24 you're welcome, Alex 😎👉👉
we need bill najeela flash hulk gameplay with the breeding pool playmat.
I just hope there’s a Gary in Bill’s Sheoldred deck. How could you say no to such an affable zombie?
I'm learning Magic, so I'm kinda new. I don't understand how Alex takes turn at 31:36 since Forbidden Orchard and Magewright's Stone are not instants. Also, Kelsien can use it's tapping ability whenever he wants (as long as untapped)?
I would really like to create a Kelsien deck and his is one of the most viewed in Moxfield.
Unless an ability of a card says that it can only be activated during your turn or at sorcery speed you can activate them whenever you could cast an instant. Creatures are a small exception to this as if the cost to activate the ability is tapping they either need to have haste, or have been on the battlefield for a turn. Usually though, if they can attack, they can activate abilities.
@@TheSpikeFeeders Interesting. I understand Haste / Summoning Sickness. But so far I haven't seen the instructions you're telling. But I did see often the opposite - by that I mean texts saying you can cast whatsoever ability "as if it was an Instant".
Make sure Alex gets his signet back! The sleeves look similar xD
Man 16:40 me just depriving us of so many Ummm ackshually comments.
at 28:11, from the Comprehensive Rules section 608.2b-
..."However, if any of its targets are illegal, the part of the spell
or ability’s effect for which it is an illegal target can’t perform any actions on that target, make
another object or player perform any actions on that target, or make that target perform any
actions."
Target Cecily was no longer a legal target so it cannot deal it's damage to Alex's creature, though Eliot's opponents would receive a poison counter as there is still one legal target and the spell will resolve as much as it is able.
BILL! good to see him again :')
Edison format yugioh though 👀
Damn Eliot throwing the shade at SCG
how did kelsien kill birgi with the second tap at 32:00? I thought she had protection from black until end of turn
Bathe in Light was still on the stack, Alex untaps Kelsien with the spell on the stack and then targets it again.
right, it hadnt actually resolved. Thanks for respond to a months old video. Been binging all your 2023 content since Jim appeared on EDHijinks (which i only started watching since olivia and eilidh mentioned it on commander at home which i only started watching because olivia and Brian were on TCC)
If the local MTG community was a welcoming as you are, i might have continued with paper magic.

+1 for the Elliot and Bill Edison Format game play spinoff series
Bills back!
Amazing opening
BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL!!!!
I wonder if it's CBC's fault that every Canadian has *vague* memories of The Gift of the Magi
Yay! Wild Bill!!!
19:57 Hahahahah! Oh Elliot..! 🤣
How did that copy of Cecily attack the turn it came in without haste?
It came in on the previous end step
Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!
That finish 👌
Bill is my favorite nimcel
Not that it matters, but technically, moving the commander as a SBA is only if the commander is in the graveyard or exile. When Jim wants to put it into the command zone rather than on the bottom with puzzle box, that's still a replacement effect.
Yay bill
watching this makes me reaaaaalllly sad that I took apart my kelsien deck XD
BILL BILL BILL BILL
I play commander to with Giada
So I don't know if it is a running joke on the channel but fun fact unless this was just the ruling of the head judge of that event. It was ruled you cant concede in response to the land being played to make to come into play tapped.
yay
Has Kelsien ever actually died in one of these games yet? He seems to stick and get one of the many death touch equipments and run roughshod over the table.
I miss Bill
damn so no Edison yugioh?
that Kelsien deck seems like actual cancer to play against
43:57 Jim! Your humans have lifelink from Rick! They do net 0 damage to you!
This video brought to you by the first camera ever invented.
You get to choose what counters to proliferate. You do not have to proliferate all counters.
This is covered under CR701.27:
To proliferate means to choose any number of permanents and/or players that have a counter, then give each one an additional counter of each kind that permanent or player already has.
@@TheSpikeFeeders oh okay. Thanks
Title: first game in 2 years
Intro: first game in 3 and half a year
Time is bendable and stretchable I see
Gotta love Magic players having infinitokens and using them blank
Eh, sometimes you don’t feel like drawing
Someone didnt get the Hawaiian shirt memo..
Please ban dockside and bowmasters lol I missed the chance to say this on last week's episode
