Agreed. Although I'd love to see twice as many games per episode just to see a bit more variance and an underdog commander show a bit more off in round 2!
crim when he plays a deck with any combinations of grixis: "misery is on the menu" crim when someone removes his bow masters and draws a card: "THIS IS MISERABLE"
I *love* the new Gitrog. However, hear me out. Play Thalia and the Gitrog Monster, with the new Gitrog Monster in the 99. That way, you can have Thalia riding The Gitrog Monster mount the new one so Thalia is riding Gitrog that is riding Gitrog.
@@casteanpreswyn7528 eh, any kind of Stax in the Command zone is gonna piss people off, and Non-basics and creatures entering tapped is a *rough* piece of Stax, especially for commanders with haste.
@@signspace13 this is called "bad threat assessment". If someone has a stax piece in the command zone, but their deck is a 2, someone getting upset over it is just bad at the game.
I have it in my version I just made for the new Gitrog, and surprise, surprise, it's probably the best card in the deck. Tbf though, if there was ever a deck to play Field of the Dead in, it's this one.
LOL love the hats, Phils like a bond villain, Richard looks like Luffy, Crim's looks like he got his hat from an episode of Spongebob, and Seth looks like Hagrid in a western!
Commander clash was the content from you guys that I would skip because I hated the look of the online format, ever since the switch to paper I haven't missed one 🙌🏽
Same bro. Wanted, and tried, to watch their games but I just couldn't sit through an hour of a screen that looks like a DOS program. This new style/formatting is very easy to watch.
actually really really cool decks. any deck COULD have won which doesn't always feel like the case. This is one where I'd actually want to see a straight up rematch sometime.
Beautiful day goldfish crew and community:) I would like to encourage a background for Seth that is a barren dusk background with campfire smoke drifting in the breeze! His rugged cowboy look needs to be completed :)
Okay…okay…I gotta pause the video and say this. Seth looks frickin’ AWESOME with his hair down and the cowboy hat on! That angle, shooting slightly from the side, makes him look straight up authentic ‘rustler’! Okay, back to the video, but that HAD to be said!
Look at the stream/replay archives for when he pulled out the "Saffron Goldmane" look the first time. It does look good on Seth, but after growing my own hair longer I totally understand why Seth keeps his hair tied up :D
Late on this, but thank you editor for using the version of the cards being played for what you pop-up on screen. It helps keep track of what's on the field when they match.
Hey Seth, next time you need to reflect that many counters on a single card, use two different spindowns - one for the 10s and one for the 1s. Makes things so much easier.
I don't follow socials so I don't know if you've spoken bout this, but I love the offline content. Hope it's not too much work and you guys can keep it around!
@19:25 Crim: perennially screwed for lands Also Crim: complains about hitting an abundance of lands this game lmao The cowboy hats really bring out the best in everyone this game, particularly Seth
Absolute blast to watch love you guys. RIchard with the Darkness was an absolute highlight. P.S. Tzeentch is pronounced with a silent-T like "zeench". Definitely not Tishnik 😂
Really like the paper games. Having never played Magic online, the MTGO interface just didn't click well in my brain and made it harder to stay engaged.
I wanted to use Richard's deck as a base for my own Obeka deck, but I noticed his decklist doesn't match the deck he played. Richard reveals Blasphemous Act at 35:40 , but that card isn't in his decklist in the article. Bummer.
After several episodes of Paper magic instead of MTGO, I feel confident that I do prefer watching you all play paper! MTGO is difficult to see what is happening when watching on smaller devices (phones), and in paper the players tend to dictate their plays more, making a better passive listening experience! I’d love to see more paper games! I’m not as into MTGO play unless these problems can be fixed in the future, in which case I’m down to watch!
Technically with Plargg and Nasari, an opponent chooses a card for you NOT to play, and you cast up to two from among the OTHERS. In a 1v1 scenario it doesn't matter but worth pointing out for the future.
Seth with his hair down is a V I B E
The legend of Seth Goldenmane lives on.
Get this man some boots and jeans and he'd be a better cowboy than most Texans I know
God Tier
He looks like he's from the time period.
Giving me Hagrid energy, no lie.
Paper magic games have been absolutely insane this season. Best commander show on UA-cam right here. You guys are killin it.
Thanks!
I second this. It's been a great viewing experience.
Yeah I was very skeptical when they switched but the editing is so clean it's still easy to follow
Agreed. Although I'd love to see twice as many games per episode just to see a bit more variance and an underdog commander show a bit more off in round 2!
Its been a lot more engaging than Magic Online, I've liked the change.
We went from the cowboy hat being a meme, to finding Seths new look (cowboy hat w/hair down). OTJ bringing more than just some cool cards
Seth and Phil are now contractually obligated to bring their "cowboy hats" to events ;)
"Phil can you look out the window?"
Richard was so proud of the fog meta
😂😂😂
crim when he plays a deck with any combinations of grixis: "misery is on the menu"
crim when someone removes his bow masters and draws a card: "THIS IS MISERABLE"
Misery is truly on the menu
Seth lookin like he's about to set up a survival channel
Loose hair Seth with cowboy hat is the new GQ's sexiest man alive.
Going for this kind of content, I mean, not online, is the best decision. I love this!
Seth plays the part of a rugged pioneer immensely well. Absolutely wild
Why does Seth look so good, this is doing things to me
RIGHT
I love watching Phil play because he's not here to win... He's here for THAT VALUUEE!!
Living the dream😂
Howdy SaffronY'allive!
We can all go home. SaffronY'allive is the best joke. You win 🤣
Seth actually slaying in that hat
I was not ready for Seth in the cowboy hat but I am here for it!!!
Seth looks like he is about to drop a MTG country album "Red solo burn! You bolt me on down. Let's count to 20!" 😂
Hair down + hat Seth, goes wild
I’m obsessed with how Richard said Tzeentch
that was Seth levels of mis-pronunciation! :D
Seth, you look MAGNIFICENT.
Love this episode. Seth’s hair, Crims dramatic exit, Richards fog meta and Phil still drawing 20.
Thalia and the Gitrog monster is the kind of commander that loses you friends though haha.
@signspace13 only when you tryhard. With this idea it's just a silly stack of creatures.
@@casteanpreswyn7528 eh, any kind of Stax in the Command zone is gonna piss people off, and Non-basics and creatures entering tapped is a *rough* piece of Stax, especially for commanders with haste.

@@casteanpreswyn7528 this just in, 90% of commander players at "bad at the game". This is far fewer than was expected.
NGL Seth looks excellent
Still waiting for the field of the dead houseban. Thank you Phil for not playing it in that deck. Fun watching everyone pop off.
The irony is, Crim's hat is from one piece too 😂
Richard playing combo every week is a weird timeline
Crim’s energy is infectious 😂 great episode, crew!
Wow, it is so much more enjoyable to watch them play with actual cards. Loving this season.
Seth looking like the offspring of Rob Zombie and Hagrid this episode.
Exalted Flamer of Tish'nik. Bless you Richard.
The “God damn” in cowboy speak when Richard fogged. Chef’s kiss
Been LOVING this season!! The paper commander games are such a step up, great job guys!
Crim mentioning the saloon in the sky as he's dead killed me
Holy shitballs when I saw Seth with his hair down and in the hat I hollared sweet mother I'm in Tombstone!!
Seth looks so good with his hair down!!!!! Wow!!!! That is a look Seth!
exalted flamer of "tshishnick" was a Seth worthy pronunciation - you are a monster richard
actually really really cool decks. any deck COULD have won which doesn't always feel like the case. This is one where I'd actually want to see a straight up rematch sometime.
Man Seth looks so sick with the hairs down
The Darkness BM was the MTG equivalent of a Chef's kiss.
Beautiful day goldfish crew and community:) I would like to encourage a background for Seth that is a barren dusk background with campfire smoke drifting in the breeze! His rugged cowboy look needs to be completed :)
Seth looking like a 80’s outlaw country singer and I love it.
I see Phil making up to Seth for that astral drift play from last commander episode .
Okay…okay…I gotta pause the video and say this. Seth looks frickin’ AWESOME with his hair down and the cowboy hat on! That angle, shooting slightly from the side, makes him look straight up authentic ‘rustler’! Okay, back to the video, but that HAD to be said!
Vote with your likes
This is a Petition for Seth to keep the cowboy hat on all future episodes!
Everyone's talking about Saffron Y'allive killing it, but I also think Richard's hat looks good on him
Richard is definitely rocking it
Richard looks like he's about to harvest the Field of the Dead 😅🤣
Thank you for the crim death outtro.
It made my day
Seth you look GREAT here, lean into it!! The universe is giving you a sign!
Just now realizing I’ve never seen Seth’s hair down. How could you grow such a mane and not display it ever? That look is very good on you
Look at the stream/replay archives for when he pulled out the "Saffron Goldmane" look the first time. It does look good on Seth, but after growing my own hair longer I totally understand why Seth keeps his hair tied up :D
"Clash Y'all!" IT WAS RIGHT THERE! lol
Late on this, but thank you editor for using the version of the cards being played for what you pop-up on screen. It helps keep track of what's on the field when they match.
Damn, Seth looks great with his hair down.
Why don’t people go after Richard? He ramps, sandbags a wrath, & then hides behind a maze of ith. He does it every game. Just swing at him early
Hey Seth, next time you need to reflect that many counters on a single card, use two different spindowns - one for the 10s and one for the 1s. Makes things so much easier.
Think that might be one of the better timed intos ive seen in a while, thanks for more enjoyment❤
On this week "Punt or Bluff?" Yippee-kay-yay! Will Crim draw pistols at dawn or will Phil ride off into the sunset? Tune-in to find out!
SSSOOOOooooo many good moments from this game! "Phil can you look out the window??" And Seth's new look, Crim's Western Soliloquy, love it.
This was a great episode!
Seth out here looking like Rob Zombie and it honestly kind of works really well.
holy hell.. Seth looks like he's a main character in RDR2 or something.. absolutely amazing look!
How did Phil get sheoldred back. I thought it was exile if you didn't cast it from cascade.
You can put it at the bottom of your librairie
Can confirm this is a certified Richard classic
I thought Phil had the best hat until I saw Seth's getup. Yeehaw ftw
Seth in this video: "Rob Zombie, eat your heart out"
More cowboy than cowboy
Love that Crim is repping Fire Fist Ace. Plus, Seth looks GREAT with his hair down.
I don't follow socials so I don't know if you've spoken bout this, but I love the offline content. Hope it's not too much work and you guys can keep it around!
Every deck popped off! Great game!
@19:25 Crim: perennially screwed for lands
Also Crim: complains about hitting an abundance of lands this game lmao
The cowboy hats really bring out the best in everyone this game, particularly Seth
Seth's hair down is one million percent a V I B E
This was a really fun one! Everyone did some stuff
we needed a dramatic exit from the rest of the crew
Phil’s hat the coolest. 😁
This was actually a sweet game, everyone really got their chance to do their thing, very interactive, Green greening and rakdos rakdosing.
So excited for Double Down in Tribal Tribal!
Absolute blast to watch love you guys. RIchard with the Darkness was an absolute highlight.
P.S. Tzeentch is pronounced with a silent-T like "zeench". Definitely not Tishnik 😂
At first I was gonna say way to stick to the schtick. Then I remember Seth said he probably gonna wear his. Looking good Saffron Olive!
I love your paper magic content! keep it up boys!
The adventure was still cast, so the virtue is still there 13:58
Really like the paper games. Having never played Magic online, the MTGO interface just didn't click well in my brain and made it harder to stay engaged.
I love the character that wears crims hat, but from a distance it just looks like a big hat with googly eyes which just feels so like him
All of these decks got to do their thing this week super good game.
The hats! This season has been great!!
Seth looked like an actual cowboy and everyone else looked like magic players in hats
I wanted to use Richard's deck as a base for my own Obeka deck, but I noticed his decklist doesn't match the deck he played. Richard reveals Blasphemous Act at 35:40 , but that card isn't in his decklist in the article. Bummer.
I was really hyped for Rakdos exile mill as soon as I saw the card, I hope there's a single scoops or against the odds episode too.
Crim with Ace's hat is all I've ever wanted in life
Honestly, the episode with the hats will go down as a hell of a showdown, and not your average hoedown.
God daaame Seth, that mother fing hat suits you so well.
Make an example actually spiked up from $2 to $8 so maybe people are catching on
Wow that look is really doing it for Seth.
@27:10 Crim over here turning the video into an episode of Game Knights... haha.

I neeeed to build a mushroom/fungal theme deck with Xavier Sal from this set! Hyped to watch the episode thanks Goldfish crew!!
I love that days ago topper put bristly bill as not great in the command zone lol. To be fair you guys play crazy strong commander.
Crim looking like Ace is pretty dang epic.
If I had never saw SafMane Lion before, I would have sworn that glorious hair was an artificial extension of the hat.
Technically with Plargg and Nasari, an opponent chooses a card for you NOT to play, and you cast up to two from among the OTHERS. In a 1v1 scenario it doesn't matter but worth pointing out for the future.
How did Richard play the Ancestral Vision off the Fork play?
Seth looks sick as hell by the way. Everyone watching already knows it, but I need Seth to know it. Seth must now how sick as hell he looks.
This one has got to be one of my favorite.
Im here for seth's cowboy arc. I never noticed how often crim messes with his cards on the playmat.
seth walking right outta read dead 2 lol love it
This game was a perfect example of why Crim is objectively correct that we need more Bowmasters in Commander.
